lol that's crazy road trip.
Last year i went from Toronto to Miami Florida. I didn't really plan any stops as they just come to us. We just keep moving until we wanted to main cities and chill for a bit. a good updated GPS would do. we used it to locate gas, parks, beaches, hotels.
One Great hint: stop at all rest areas and pick-up state guide for more info and hotels coupons. we found great deals that way. we got 2 bed room hotel for only $35USA with breakfast, swimming pool and snacks.
If i were you get unlimited km car rental. that's what we did.
