How much are taxi fares in Wyoming?
Question:
I will coming in the US (cheyenne, wyoming) and i wanted to know how much are taxis there? i don't know if it would be better with a taxi or just renting a car...Thank guys i would be there during the frontier days

Answer:
Rent a car for sure, i take it you never been here b4. You will find mores horses than taxicabs here. there is a taxi service here but it is mainly used for drunks who need a ride home from the bar. also every thing is spread out here so it would be impractical to take a taxi from place to place. plus after your first day you will have seen everything there is to see in cheyenne. It might be nice if you had a rental car so can go see some other places.(Denver ,CO not to far away)

What is a good vehicle for a college student?
Question:
I am going to college this fall and currently have a Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep is awful on gas and hates commuting. I live in Cheyenne Wyoming and will be going to the University of Wyoming in Laramie Wyoming. So I need a car that is good with commuting i.e., good on gas and can handle the harsh weather of wyoming. My price range if 0 to 9000 ish .... any suggestions?

Answer:
Go for an AWD Subaru? Legacy if you just want a regular sedan, Impreza if you want better looks, WRX if you want some speed, or a Forester if you want an SUV. They all have All-Wheel-Drive which should be good for the weather. Have a set of winter tires and summer tires for better traction in the winter and better fuel economy in the summer.

How much money, just in gas, would it take to travel approx. 1000 miles?
Question:
i want to travel from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Port Lavaca, Texas, which is approx 1000 miles, more or less, via the roads. how much gas money would i need if i took a car that got average gas mileage?

Answer:
You figure about how many mpg your car gets, which you divide into the 1000, then multiply the ave of gas per gallon in your area and you can even look up local prices at a halfway point if you plan on fueling then. Then add about 10% extra for difference in pulling mountains,or if you are going to be loaded up with car full, 15%-205 to cover the weight, respectively. 20 mpg at 2.50 per gallon would be roughly $140

Saab 9-3 turbo, hasnt been started for 4 years! what do i do?
Question:
hello everybody. i have recently inherited a 1999 Saab 9-3 turbo convertible, it was my brothers... he passed away in february 2002. the car has been under the "care" of my step-mother. the car has been garaged for 4 years, and during that time, the car has never been started (i know!) i have finally convinced her the car would be better served belonging to me. so, what percautions do i need to take before driving it again. if i recharge the battery, and fire it up will i cause problems, secondary to the old oil, old gas? what about spark plugs, fuel injectors? the car is in cheyenne, wyoming, which means no saab dealership. so i was wondering if i should have it towed to a local mechanic, or is it safe to start it, and drive to the mechanic, and like i aske previously, what should i have done to it, so i dont cause any serious damage? any and all advice is appreciated. thank you ben

Answer:
I'll assume one thing, the Saab is in good shape or you wouldn't be messing with it....Being garage kept is good but there still MAY be condensation in the fuel tank from repeated temperature changes (unless you're fortunate enough for it to have been stored w/a full tank). If not then pull the tank and drain the fuel. It's likely that any fuel left in the lines, rails and injectors has evaporated and if you attempt to start the engine you MAY pull the collected condensation from the bottom of the tank straight into the lines/rails/injectors. You MIGHT clear it out with a lot of cranking and it MAY start but you're still dealing with the old gas which will run poorly. (The more volatile components of the gas flash off first leaving behind the stuff good for your hurricane lamp at best) Of course, change the oil, and go with a good synthetic like Amsoil. If you're able, pull the plugs and squirt oil into the cylinders, then spin the engine over. This will lube the cylinder walls and pull the oil from the pan so you're not doing a dry start. Remember, any shortcuts now will lead to down time and irritation later. Hope this and any further replies helps.

Many people know that the weight of an object varies on different planets, but did you know that the weight of an object on earth also varies according to the elevation of the object? Question:
can someone just help me on this one and show all work then i will be able to do all the rest. thanks. 1) Henery ran 5km in 20 min in a cross country race. what was his speed in m/sec.?? 2)A car traveled 725 km from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Salt Lake City, Utah in 8.5 hours. What was it's average velocity???? please show all work too. :) thanks

Answer:
Answers to Problems; 1) The question asked you to find henery's speed in m/sec. Therefore, you need to convert 5km to metres which is 5000m and 20min to seconds which will be 20*60 = 1200 Divide 5000/1200 = 25/6 or 4.167 (conversion; 1km = 1000m, 1min = 60 seconds) 2) Velocity is defined as the change in displacement over time taken. Therefore; 725 - 0/ 8.5 = 85.29 or1450/17 To represent in metres and second; 725000/30600 = 23.692 or 3625/153 I hope i've helped!

I am stranded and need to get home, anybody know how.?
Question:
I hate being in this situation. Recently I moved to Cheyenne Wyoming to for a job opportunity. I happened to meet a fellow hoosier when I got there. This guy mentioned he was going to Indiana and asked if I would like a ride. He stated that he could drop me off in Terre Haute While he went to Indianapolis. Well he has never come back. He got arrested in Nap for felony DUI and his car got impounded. I do not have a license and am not registered owner so NOW I am stuck in Terre Haute and I start a job soon in Cheyenne Wyoming. Anybody got any idea where I can go to get help with a bus or plane ticket.

Answer:
Lots of good suggestions already, but.. people DO still hitch-hike too! Not ideal, but hey, desparate times call for desparate measures, right?
