Call a auto-salvage yard. If you have a clear title there should be no problem. They will simply come to you and haul it away. You may even get a few bucks. Call the city. See who they use for abandoned vehical removal. Then if that tow company wont do it. ask who they send theres to. It would still be simplier to check the yellow pages for " salvage yard"

eigth grade road trip to charleston west virginia?

ok, well me and some of my friends were thinking about going on a road trip at the end of the year, before high school. some of us are getting split up into the two main high schools, and we want to do something to fun. we are starting in dublin ohio. there are 9 of us, so we will all pitch in. i already have a pretty good idea of the car we're renting, which seats 12 so obviously parents will be DRIVING and coming. Plus, i am 99% sure what hotel we'll be staying at. we want to go somewhere around Charleston, West Virginia or further towards the coastline. any ideas or any cool stops we should do along the way? we would love your ideas! or an itinerary would be nice...really nice. :) thanks! we are leaving at noon the first day, getting to our hotel that afternoon. the rest of the day and the next day are free, but we'll be driving back the 3rd day. thanks!

Hey there. If you are staying in Charleston stay at Embassy Suits- the marriot doesn't wash their bedding as I have discovered from past experiences. Southern West Virignia is the most beautiful place in the world. I would suggest heading on down to fayetteville, wv to the New River Gorge Bridge. It is amazing to see how big it is- it is the worlds 2nd largest and longest arch bridge. Go to the overlook, its worth all the stairs it takes to get there lol. Then take a ride under the bridge to Fayette Station. Wow.. talk about beautiful.. that is one of the best places to go and you can even watch rafters go by up close down there. There is also a hiking trail that overlooks the entire gorge and bridge. It's called long point trail- it is not dangerous or difficult to get to the place where you can view everything.. its something you have to do before you die in my opinion. Then head out another 15 minutes to Gauley Bridge, WV. Theres a beautiful waterfall called cathedral falls.. there's also a picnic table so it would be a great opportunity to have a little picnic. Then head up the road another 10 minutes to a place called the mystery hole. It is definitely one of those other must sees of southern, west virginia. You'll get a good laugh and it's a good time. Southern, West Virginia is such a beautiful place, I highly suggest you really get to see some of these places I mentioned. Hey, I just got back from a college high school program in New York and I want to visit a good friend of mine who I met there. I live in Pittsburgh, she lives in Charleston West Virginia. I've looked but their aren't any Megabuses or Grey Hounds that go to Charleston. I'd like to find something really cheap so I can visit often. I don't have my own car so that's not an option. I'm 18 at the end of this month if that means anything.

Check again. Greyhound DOES have 1 daily departure Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Charleston, West Virginia, but it isn't cheap, and the return trip has a 5 hour bus change wait in Ohio.

What transportation options would I have in Charleston, SC?

I will be moving to Charleston at the beginning of October, and coming from Chicago so I do not have a car. We will be living in West Ashley so we wont be right downtown to make it super easy to get around, however West Ashley seems to have a lot to offer (just not the same kind of character as downtown). A lot of places will be within walking and biking distance, but that will be hard to want to do on the mega hot days. I have been trying to brain storm other options and so far I have thought about 1) getting a vespa, but I would honestly rather not. 2) Leasing a car, but I'm pretty sure that would not be worth it since it would probably be fairly short term (1-1.5 years). 3) Buying a car that is good enough to be reliable but nothing overly fancy, and resell when the time comes to leave (not wanting a permanent car option so my boyfriend and I wont have to drive separate cars when moving again). Other than the not so solid bus transportation there, and the possibility of an occasional taxi or carpool opportunity, that's all I've got. However, I know here in Chicago we have zip cars and things of that nature. Charleston is smaller so I dont know if they have anything similar, but I guess I am trying to make sure I am covering all of my possible bases. All ideas are welcome, as long as they are legit and gearing far from sarcastic remarks. Thanks all.

I live in the Charleston area (though we live in rural Charleston county) and we have the CARTA system, which is the public bus. They have scheduled routes and stops along with a service where you can have yourself picked up at X location and taken to Y at whatever time you specify (well, I am sure it is not quite as convenient as that). CARTA operates all over downtown, West Ashley, North Charleston, etc. There are also several taxi agencies. I am very familiar with West Ashley, and while it is possible that you could walk or bike to many locations distance wise, it is not necessarily the case logically because of safety issues. West Ashley is also quite large when considering walking or biking all over it. I would move here and rely on public transportation until you see what your needs will be and which would be the best way to meet those needs. Mopeds/Vespas are a common form of transportation (though I think most of them are being operated by 14 year olds- yes, you can get a Moped license at 14 in this state) and those that have had their licenses suspended. With the cost of gas rising, though, many others are also looking into that option.

Do I need a V6 in West Virginia?

I'm moving to West Virginia next month. I'm planning to purchase a new car there. I'm planning to travel offen to nearly by state for weekend trip. How is the torrain there? Is there alot of uphill driving on the highway? Is there alot to see out door? Do recommend SUV or sedan? If sedan, is 4 cylinder enough? or definitely go with a V6 because of road conidition there? I will be a new resident in Charleston, WV. I never been in the Northern East Coast. Thanks for your advice Do I need AWD, or FWD will do?

Charleston is nowhere near the coast, hundreds of miles away. Not really northern either, but maybe it just seems it from where you are now (I'm in New England, to me that is northern east coast. Unless you are planning to go off road, a 4 cylinder sedan will be cheaper and more efficient than an SUV. You don't need a V6 - a good four (like Accord or Camry, etc) will suit you fine. EDIT - FWD is fine - if you think they get a lot of snow in Charleston they do not. People drive in Buffalo with FWD, it will be more than adequate in WV.

i bought a car on modifiedcartrader.com for 2300 and sent a check to the owner who was 32hours away from me. after several attempts to have car shipped to me it all failed. so i tried to get a refund a while back and the man refused to give me the money stating he put my name on the title now i was 17 and naive i now know its still not my car. he declared the car was towed so he sold it off now i didn't get a refund what can i do to get all my money back this is ridiculous please someone help me this man doesnt deserve to steal my money and is apparently running for house of delegates in charleston west virginia. You were 17 so first you need to get your parents involved. They can file a complaint with the cops about an adult scamming you for $2300. You might also remove his name from this complaint. He can sue you for libel as you are claiming he stole your money, etc. Until you prove that, he has a good suit against you and you could end up losing even more money.
