how many cars can one household have in tacoma washington state?

Answer:
Really an unlimited amount. If you have a house, you can have as many cars as you want. For an apartment, as many as the apartment complex will allow. Keep in mind many places have certain restrictions on the kinds of cars you can have around. Many cities have laws against having non-working cars on the street or visible from the street. You would have to check with Tacoma laws regarding this.

How do I find out more about public transportation in Tacoma, Washington?
Question:
My little sister moved to Tacoma for college and it's a state I've never visited. She wont have a car and is living off campus with her boyfriend. He says he will be able to drive her but I think it's good to have a backup plan- just in case. How do I find bus routes for Tacoma online? Are the buses reliable there? How much does it cost?

Answer:
I've been taking Pierce Transit buses for about 5 years now, I'd say they're pretty reliable, usually good about being on time. The current fare for adults is $1.75, or $63 for a one month pass. All the route information is on http://www.piercetransit.org/, like the person above said.

Question:
From Tacoma Washington, to Phoenix Arizona what would be the most efficient way to travel? When I say efficient I mean like time, money, and difficulty. Car? Plane? Bus?

Hitch hike is definitely cheapest but it might not be very safe. You could rent a car with no drop off fee. You could check for or advertise for a ride share. Or find some kind of coupon for trains. Bus is also an option.

Singlemother in Tacoma Washington?
Question:
Can anyone share some firsthand experience with being a single mother living in Tacoma Washington. Good agencies out there to help get you on your feet, get a job, get back in school, help with any housing and etc.... I will be driving out there in August my 2 children and my dog and I, from the midwest. So anyone out there who can help please do so. I am leaving quickly due to personal reasons and can only take a limited amount of belongings. Small car, small trunk. I have little to no savings because I will be using most of it for gas to drive 2200 miles and to get the car ready for a trip like this. Again anything will help....................... All prayers will be appreciated as well. Thanks

Answer:
I am not a woman, and not from Tacoma, but getting assistance from anywhere is just about the same everywhere. Social services would be one of your first places to go. You probably will need financial help at first, and social security or unemployment would be good people to check with. You also need a place to stay, and there are half way houses in just about any major city, Seattle is not to far from there, so don't discount that city. There is an Air Force Base, McChord not to far from either city. Military are always looking for good civilian employees, in the Dining Halls, and Housekeeping. Check with Civilian Personnel at the Human Resources Office. It would be good to get employed by the military because of all the benefits. Also there should be HUD homes in the area, that may be suitable at first. See if you can get the classified section of the newspapers in Tacoma and Seattle. You might find a job before you get there. You can go on line, and get that information also. Well I hope this helps you, Good Luck, and have a safe trip.
