How much money will we need for our trip with my girlfriend to Olympia Washington?

We want to go visit this city in February. Our flight is from PHL(Philadelphia, PA) to SEA(Seattle, WA). The price for hotel flight and rental car(pickup at airport) is approximately 1400 through hotwire.com(cheaper than travelocity, expedia, orbitz) with nonstop flights. The reason we want to visit is that we plan on moving there in the near future we looked it up and seems like a Great place to live but seeing is believing. We will be visiting roughly feb 27- mar 4 2012(1 week just not sure about dates yet). Does anyone know of any events that take place or places to visit while we are there? Also, my girlfriend is a huge Twilight fan so we will be traveling 3 hrs to get to Forks and make it a day trip there. Does anyone know of any events or great places to see there or which 1 of our days we should do this? Ok, now on to the question we need to know how much money to bring with us. How expensive are the restaurants for lunch and supper because we get free breakfast at hotel. I figured roughly $75(25 for lunch, 50 for supper) a day for the food part is this accurate? Also we are fun seekers so we will probably buy stuff and just have fun. We are bad at saving money. I also would like to find a place with couples massaging with decent prices. We don't mind getting pampered lol. Ok so roughly how much would we need for our trip to Olympia Washington all together? Don't forget to add the gas,food, and just plain old fun. I agree with what Miranda wrote above, but I wanted to make a few comments about Forks. Forks is a small town on the Olympic Peninsula whose main industry is logging. While there are some twilight-themed tours and such, most are cheap and not worth it because most of the Twilight movies were filmed in Oregon. Unless this is REALLY big on your girlfriend's list of things she wants to do, I would not recommend taking the drive (which would probably last more like 4-5 hours) just to see the small town whose biggest attraction is a small logging museum.

Living in Olympia, Washington.?

Whatts it like? It seems cheaper than Seattle. Are there other nearby cheap locations to live, even rural? I'd be willing to live 45 minutes away, maybe more. I'm looking at a possible teaching job there. But as you know teachers don't earn a ton. How is the cost of living? What do you pay for gas, water and electric on average? how is insurance for house and car? How is the economy there? Are there lots of jobs in other sectors? I've always thought Washington or Oregon might be a good place to live. I like the fact that the weather is not too hot and not too cold.

Olympia is not as expensive as Tacoma or Seattle. Rural living is great there - lots of gardeners love it as is evidenced by the farmers' market each week. Utilities will depend on your house size so no way to predict that. Insurance is cheaper than in other urban areas. Washington's economy is doing better than many other areas of the country - at this point. Lately weather hasn't broken 70 degrees; a colder than normal June. You can experience big differences just by being further inland or living closer to the ocean. Shelton is a nice little lumber town; Chehalis and Centralia are south and an easy commute.

looking for a free junk car in washington state?

I am looking for a place that has junkyard loads of cars. I'm looking for late 80's or 90's. It could be in any condition from scratches and dents, to being rusty and not working, as long as the main body is still intact. Keep it west of the cascades please. you should buy good snow tires! 4 of them! i highly reconmend michelin x-ice because of my parents and my experience with them. i swear they are AMAZING! you'll be much more safe, and you probably won't get stuck. now snow chains is going a bit far. you wouldn't need snow chains.

What is the best airline to take from WA (Washington) to OH (Ohio)?

I want a reliable airline that is safe to travel from Olympia, Washington to Columbus, Ohio. It is quite the distance about 2,486 miles, by car it would take 1 day and 15 hours. Instead I'd rather just take a plane but I want a safe and reliable plane, I'd rather pay a little extra to be sure that we get there safely without problems. I want an airline that has no history of plane crashes and is safe with luggage. We are moving to Ohio so we are bringing a lot of stuff as well. We are not sure what we can pack on a plane (other than not to pack weapons or other dangerous things) like if we can pack a computer, collectibles, how many suitcases we can bring, etc. If anyone can tell me a little about how do do these things and a little about the airline plus why you would recommend it that would be great. The airlines that I've herd of is: American Airlines Delta Frontier United US Airways Qatar Airways (but i'm not sure if they are a U.S.A. chain or not, I know they are an Australia airline) If you know any about these or others please let me feel free to talk about your experiences. :)

Instead of flying to Olympia, I would look at flying from Seattle. There are no non-stop flights from Seattle to Columbus, OH. One airline I would check out would be Southwest. The airline is extremely safe and they do not charge for the first 2 checked bags. The other airlines mentioned are also all very safe. U.S. airlines are one of the most safe airlines to fly with because the pilots are trained well and the aircraft have to be properly certified or the government will ground the aircraft and make the airlines pay a heavy fine. This also generates bad publicity which they don't want so airlines will take the proper precautions to make sure passengers get to their destination safely. I would fly any of the airlines you mentioned. Qatar Airways is an airline based in Doha, Qatar which in the Middle East. I have flown on American, Delta, United and US Airways and the service is about the same on all of them. All are extremely safe but all have had accidents before. However the accidents were a long, long time ago and they have had numerous flights without incident so a plane crash should be the last thing you have to worry about.

While Looking for a car to basically drive into the ground on my route, I found a cheap 96 Taurus at the local junkyard, that was too good to pass up. it was formerly wrecked but they repaired it all except a door panel or two which is perfect for beater route car. Anyway it's got to be "vin inspected" by state patrol for a new title.
