Arlington prides itself on being a "green" community, where it's quite easy to get along without a car. We have excellent public transportation--Metrorail, Metrobus, and our own Arlington bus system. There's a strong taxi system. Sidewalks are found on basically every street. We're getting ready to build a trolley system on one of our main boulevards. We have biking and running trails, including the W&OD and Custis. There are many neighborhood grocery stores and restaurants. If you should want a car from time to time, there are "Zip Cars" available for short-term rental. In short, you can do without a car in Arlington...

There is no way that is both fast and cheap. A bus such as Bolt Bus or Megabus will be the cheapest but will still take 4 or 5 hours depending on time of day and traffic. Amtrak Acela would be the fastest but it is not particularly cheap.

im 20 y/o and im being charged with marijuana posession in arlington, virginia. I was in my car with three other people, when the police came and smelled marijuana. They searched the car and found like .4 of some dank in the glove compartment. My friend on the passanger seat also got charged with posession, but the other two were let go. I probably have to get a court appointed lawyer becuase i cant afford private lawyer. I dont want to be charged but right now i dont see me getting out of this especially with a court lawyer.
