i received a citation in rutland vermont for possessing a stolen car. i bought the car from someone else.?
Question:
i bought the car from someone else and now i have to go to court. i do not know what to do.

Answer:
Even if you can prove you bought the car, that will not suffice. You need to prove that you had no knowledge that you were buying stolen merchandise. You need the help of an attorney. If you can't afford one, there is legal aid in most states. If you're innocent, I wish you success.

Vermont vacation - summer 2010?
Question:
I am planning a visit to rural Vermont next summer. I thought that I might fly in to Burlington VT and stay beside Lake Champlain for a few days before venturing further afield to see as much of Vermont as possible - St Albans, Stowe, Rutland etc. Can I do this without hiring a car (not sure that rail/bus is fully available). Should I stay in one place throughout or perhaps stay in two or three places during my 10 -12 day stay? Will be travelling with the wife but we do have a limited budget - circa £1500. Any help/suggestions would be very gratefully received. Many thanks for your tips. Some great answers here and very many thanks to those who have put so much time into giving very valuable advice. It is going to be really hard tp pick a best answer and I wish that we could have more than one as BEST. Not sure I can decide so I might let it go to voting. Thank you all

Answer:
Sounds like a great plan. Vermont is a beautiful place to visit, but you will need to rent a car if you want to explore throughout the state. Because almost all of Vermont is rural, public transportation is very limited. Some of the best parts of Vermont have no public transportation at all. You can rent an economy car at the Burlington airport for a week for under $200 US (reserve it in advance). You can stay near Burlington and visit most all of northern and central Vermont easily with day trips. You might want to stay a couple of nights in the southern part of state to explore it. I would suggest the Manchester or Bennington areas. Consider making a day trip into New Hampshire while your here also.
