Can I make a city reimburse me for damages to my car.?
Question:
I was driving this morning, I had gotten in a turn lane to turn at a low speed. My passenger tires only touched the lane markers on the sides because I was already in the lane. However my front tires had a swell like an egg on it and a smaller swell on the back. These markers did not show up easily, they are white on wide white lane lines. I did not see the first three which are separated about 25' before the three at the front of the lane. The markers start when the lane starts, they stand about 3.5" off the ground and are about 7" wide. My tires had already started cracking in the rubber by the time I got to a tire shop about a mile away, the shop told me I was lucky they didn't blow before I got there. I learned this happens alot and this the City of Richardson Texas never reimburses anyone even though they know this is a know problem and that they continue to place more of them when other cities have removed them. Does anyone know if I can get reimbursed for the damage. Well, I guess I will start another forum probably wait a while try and gather more people and sue the city as a group. It's not that I need the money, just that those markers shouldn't be able to blow tires out. Luckily it only got the side cause if it had been in the middle my tires would have blown. I am not from here and didn't know they put large objects like that on the road.

Answer:
There are taxes collected and set aside (supposed to be) for comprehensive damages like pot holes and road debris and the like. There is a flat fee for a flat tire from running over nails and other stuff on the road surface but any additional damages like from hitting a pot hole and having a tie rod separate has to be negotiated. You may not collect the total costs of repairs but any reimbursement is better than none. In your case, there may be no specific liability unless you can prove negligence on the part of the city or state and this would probably take a class action law suit if many people had the same problem at the same place in the road. Your insurance might cover it under comprehensive. Worth a try. Good Luck!

why do these birds do this?
Question:
I live in Richardson Texas and have noticed all my life that certain birds at sunset and and sunrise have "sunset parties" at major intersections. These birds are small, black and at these parties can be numbered between 100 to 500. Plus, only these little black birds are there, i never notice any other birds. All they do is either fly around, perch on the electrical wires and sing. you can hear them through the car. Why do these birds do this? What type of bird is it?

Answer:
Common [or European] Starlings and other blackbirds like to hang together, especially in winter. They like living in towns. They roost around sundown. Wires probably make them feel safe. In the winter in the country, you can see them in huge flocks in the air...

Answer:
Hey, Not all those laws are bad. Especially that one about another man milking my cow. I was following sage advice when i was told why buy milk when i can own my cow. That's why i got married. It would bother me to no end to know another man was milking my cow.

I'm about to lose it... My 3rd and final carp question...?
Question:
The passed couple of days I've spent most of the day fishing. Hours and hours and I can SEE the carp. THOUGH, I did manage to allocate almost ALLLL the fish in this creek (including carp). I did not catch a single carp for a good 12+ hours of fishing. ___________DETAILS____________ The baits used today and yesterday till my finger hurt from putting it on the hook so many times: -Strawberry jello (2 different brands, 2 different times) in a jar full of sweet corn. I tried it as soon as I got it, then 1 jar actually baked in the sun all day (it managed to build up pressure in the jar). -And Bread rolled up with peanut butter. Once with crunchy(very difficult to stay on hook) and once with creamy pb(sorta difficult to get to stay on hook after wet) Both at different times. I'm gunna get hooks with springs if I continue this. I'm seriously about to lose it. I was down there today. There's usually always a few other Hispanic dudes where ever I go fishing. Today the guys around me were using worms (well, they had nightcrawler bowls)... These aren't the biggest carp I've seen, but for a creek with many spots less than 1 foot deep... These are big for their location. Probably good 3-5 pounds... Maybe more. There's probably 1 or 2 up to 8 pounds. The creek is through a deep brush (trees bushes) off a concrete bike trail in Richardson Texas. All along the bank is a packed down dirt trail right next to the creek (these guys gotta be down here a bunch). I guess worms work? ______End of details________ I really don't want to use worms, b/c I don't want to catch perch and other small fish. I want the big ones. I want the carp. What should I do? For the most part, they're schooling. Before I left, I heavily chummed both strawberry corn WITH the bread/peanutbutter balls in the area... Lots of fish, not sure what they were going for really. But I threw my bait out there. Nothing. After chumming that hard core, the Hispanic guys were cussing at me in another language so I jumped on my bike quickly, shot down the trail, threw it in my car, and high tailed it out of there. Throughout the whole time... I did hook 1 carp, not sure he meant to take the bait, when I pulled my rod the hook came out of his mouth so quick it was retarded. That was the ONLY time in 12+ hours. Rest are perch going for peanutbutterbread. And a 2lb cat. If I can't hook these, I'll vent my frustration out with my reel-bow. I know I can shoot them... If I can see them they're good as dead. If you want to save a carp's life, leave some good answers. If you want to reduce my stress level, leave some good answers. If you don't care about either, leave some good answers. Thanks, like always I'll give thumbs up to all, and give all stars to the best answer! Holy cow I typed a lot...

Answer:
Holy shit! Don't kill them! NOT THE CARP!!! lol. I can't believe none of those baits worked, just try the nightcrawlers. Another good bait for carp is small crayfish. Try nightcrawlers or small crayfish next time. After that, just bow fish for them or something. Happy fishing.

A Speeding Ticket While On Probation?
Question:
Okay, here is the problem. I am 17. A month ago I received a speeding ticket (59-40 yeah I know I was to cocky). I went to court, and payed HALF of the ticket under two conditions by 90 days: Driving (6-hour) Class (have not done it yet) Probation for 6 months So I payed half of the ticket and boom I left. Will today (coming from school) I got another speeding ticket 53 on a 40. (I know, I fail at life) I am panicking and can't stop thinking about it. My question is now what? I got a ticket in probation, does that mean I have to pay the full price for the FIRST ticket and will be on my driving record? What happens with the 2ND speeding ticket? Will I have to pay FULL price and be on my record? Will I get another probation for #2 speeding ticket? I am very confused. Please note: I am 17. Driving my Mom's car. (for both tickets) On my parents insurance (I know it won't go up) Live in Texas. Richardson (city, same street 2 times!!) I am panicking and really mad at myself. And one more thing, my parents told me that DPS will take my drivers license away because I am under 18 and have committed 2 speeding tickets in less then a month. As of now, I am not going to drive anymore (my choice) until I realize how to control my speed when driving. I am not only mad, but ashamed of getting TWO tickets within a month on the same STREET. All my relatives, including my siblings, are going to start making fun of me. They started making fun of me for the 1st one, now month later there gonna make fun of me a whole lot more for the 2nd one. Honestly I just came back from taking a Chemistry Test and was just thinking about how I did on it, until suddenly lights came flashing. I don't normally speed, but when I am not focusing I speed. I am not trying to give an excuse, just what happened. Thank you for reading this. Please feel free to tell me your story of getting tickets and what you had to go through. Thanks in advance. Almost forgot. Now that I have received another ticket within 6 month time period, do I still continue on completing my Driving Class for Speeding Ticket #1? Or will the condition/deal will be terminated? If not, after my driving course, will the speeding ticket #1 be off my driving record even though I got ticket #2 with 6 month probation period? Thanks. I know the Insurance will not go up, because it is not MINE. I am driving over my parent's insurance. It is not my parents fault I was speeding. I also asked the cop. :(

Answer:
You'll have to pay the other half of the first ticket, all of the second ticket and both will go on your record. Sorry. Sucks that you had to learn the hard way.
