Maybe carpool with another team member? Or maybe get a friend to drive you, stay for the game, and then drive you guys back? Those are the only things I can really think of. Sorry.

How can I contact the Indiana Pacers to see if they can help sponsor an inner city community youth program ?
Question:
I would like to contact the Pacers to request their interest and sponsorship in a community group called Indy Youth Racing League. We are involved with helping inner-city youth build and race gravity-powered Soap Box Derby cars. More importantly, we are working to improve inter-racial community relations while kids learn use of tools and new skills, interactive team participation, good sportsmanship and self-esteem. We believe that all young people need opportunities for these positive experiences in order to envision a productive and successful future. Contact me at Thank you for assisting us in our efforts.

Would a 2003 Porsche Boxster S make a good high school car?
Question:
I am about to turn 16, and I really want a Boxster S for my first car. Would this car be a good car to drive a little less than 2 miles to school Monday-Friday. And, do you know how much insurance would be for a 16 year old male in League City Texas. And how long will the car last doing this if I get one at 60,000 miles.

Answer:
Oddly enough I have to agree with Steven Brown on this one. The boxster can be a pretty reliable car. The nice thing is that the maintenance on the newer Porsches isn't astronomical. I've driven a lot of different Porsches. The Boxster handles nicely, it isn't too powerful and it's a fun car. It's a good "gateway drug" Porsche into the Porsche world so you get a feel for the quality and entry-level tier of the Porsche world. The only thing is that parts are expensive for any model of Porsche. But the maintenance on them is actually not horrific. However, make sure to check and make sure any and all updates are done, have a PPI done on the car at a shop that knows the cars in and out (this costs money but could save you THOUSANDS on finding a car that may have hidden issues, especially on a Porsche) and above all always buy the best example you can afford to buy. If you can learn to do the maintenance yourself, most Porsches are not astronomical to own. If you have them brought to a shop it's a different story on major maintenance. But the generic intervals like doing brake fluid, oil, fluids and going through seals and generic gaskets aren't that bad. Again, that's mostly if you do it yourself. If you can afford to buy a good example, keep it maintained it shouldn't be too bad and you'll greatly enjoy the car. Keep in mind insurance may be on the spendy side since you are so young. I'm just now enjoying all my Porsche toys, wished I had a Porsche for my first car, I had a Mustang II, haha! But now my daily is a 911. Once you step into the Porsche world it'll be hard to want to drive something else, they are a kick in the pants, a blast in the twisties and put a smile on your face no matter what model of Porsche it is. At 60,000 miles, if it has been owned, garaged and well maintained, no electric problems, it would be a good car and hopefully trouble free for a good long time. Best of luck to your search on the car and good luck.

My car got damaged by uninsured baseball league. What should I do?
Question:
I was in my car at a parking and suddenly a soft ball hit my back door. The ball destlyed the window and gave damages on the door. There is a baseball feild near the parking and base ball league was held at that time. I went to talk to them but they did not stop playing and told me that the city's recreation dept. can pay to fix. They were told to stop playing becuase it is dangerous by neighbor before even I had this accident, but never quit. Police came over but they cannot do anything, but the police became a witness of the second accident. I found total of 6 balls and these could hit not only the cars but also people! I called city's recreation dept. and they told me that the base ball league is not hosted by the city. City just let organizer of this league to use without any responsibilities. Now i realized that this guy, organizer of the base ball league, has been lying. He finally admit that he/base ball league does not have required insurance, and he tells me that he cannot pay me, becuase he does not have money. City neglected to check the posesion of insurance toward this baseball league, this is another mess too. What should I do to get my car fixed? What is the next step? uncle jed, I did not park my car right next to the field. I went to visit my family and this parking is for the apartment of my family. from this parking, i cannot see the field and it is unable to even see any balls are coming in. Please do not say that this is my fault. I dont feel that you are trying to answere me, your coment does not help to answere me. Answer:
You really have only one recourse that I can think of: Pay for the repairs yourself and then take the guy/league to Small Claims court to recoup your expenses. It's very easy and inexpensive to file a small claims court claim, and it sounds likely you'd win. Good luck

When Earth is a member of the Intergalatic Federation of Planets, will most people be atheists?
Question:
Like, when we have flying cars, and Earth is one big city planet, and is a member of the Intergalatic League of Planets, you know what I mean? Like, do you think people will still believe in God? INTERGALACTIC -_-

Answer:
Yes, I think atheism will be the dominant force. But there will probably also be considerable religious tradition that hangs on because it is tradition, no longer believed literally true. It is also possible that there will be religions built around treating other, more advanced species as gods. That's the example offered by the Bajorans in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Car comparisons. Anyone with experience in these cars?
Question:
Hi I'm in the league for a new car and I have about 8 lined up. I'm in the AU$25,000 range. Here is my list: Ford Fiesta 1.6L Zetec, $21,490 approx Ford Focus 2.0 LX, $24,290 approx Holden Cruze 1.8 CDX, $23,990 Honda City 1.5 VTi-S, $22,990 Honda Jazz VTi-S, $22,990 Hyundai i30 SR/SLX, $26,540/$23,890 Mazda 3 Maxx, $24,990 So this is my lineup at the moment. I'm not expecting any research as an answer just personal experience please :) Please give reasons to backup your answer (I sound like my english teacher!) Thanks heaps in advance P.s This is my first car. I'm 16 and live in tasmania Australia just FYI :)

Answer:
I just recently purchased the Hyundai i30 SLX Petrol Auto and love it. The extra safety and features are worth the extra cost over the SX. The selling points for me on it (having looked at a similar range as yourself) were the feature levels for the cost. For example the cruise control, 6 airbags, climate control and burglar alarm as standard on the SLX and SR, are options on the others. In fact the i30 is the only one with an actual car alarm the others just have immobilisers and central locking features. The 2.0L engine is quite efficient, I was able to get 510km out of a tank of fuel with driving in Sydney with the climate control always on. I'm quite tall (189cm) and the i30, Mazda and Holden had plenty of room for me to move, with space for adults at the back, the others were just too cramped. Servicing is cheap on the Hyundai as well with the average service costing $180 compared to $240 for the Honda. Another thing is the Holden and Ford's are essentially European cars and cost quite a lot to repair and service, I just got rid of a Holden Vectra for that reason, in saying that Holden has stated as of next year the Cruze will be made here, but being a sedan it didn't suit me...there is no hatch Cruze as yet (again possibly next year). Another selling feature of the i30 is the 5 year unlimited km warranty, the others only provide 3 limited km out of the factory. Having recently been in Tasmania for a holiday I'd suggest you avoid cars with the space saver tyres, I'm sure you wouldn't want to be stranded in the middle of the Midland Highway stuck on 80km/h and hoping the next town was able to fix the main tyre. The i30 and Holden Cruze both come with full size spare (the i30 SLX and SR have alloy spares). Just to keep in mind the Ford Fiesta, Honda City and Honda Jazz (Hyundai Getz, Toyota Yaris and Mazda 2 are in this class as well) are a different class to the Ford Focus, Holden Cruze, Hyundai i30 and Mazda 3 with the former being classed as compact - small and the latter small - medium (depending on who you ask). I suggest grabbing brochures and looking online to see what provides what value for money, what NRMA, RACT e.t.c say (the i30 has won many awards with all of Australia's motoring organisations such as NRMA, RACT, RACQ, RACV, RACWA). Once you narrow your list down the other thing is to go for some test drives. Being 16 you may need a fully licensed adult with you for that purpose, but a test drive is the only way to really tell if the car you want is the one you'll love. If you go for the i30 try to wrangle in the iPod cable (usually $75) to the deal it's worth it.

How big are the Anaheim Angels in Orange County? How big is Angels hype compared to Lakers hype in OC?
Question:
Just wondering how big the Angels are in O.C., with them being the best in the league right now. When they make the playoffs, how high is the city on the team? Is there lots of street parties, cars honking, etc? Lots of people with flags and cars decorated? How does Angels hype in Orange County compare with Lakers hype? Of course I know they're the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim". Hard not to miss. But don't forget I have a limited word count.

Answer:
The Lakers relocated from Minnesota and the Dodgers from Brooklyn before expansion created the Angels. Because of this both the Lakers and Dodgers captured most fans in the LA area and that didn't leave much for the Angels to draw from. In addition, the Angels didn't have very good teams for a long time and their fan base was not even close to that of the Dodgers and Lakers. Before the Angels had a stadium of their own they actually played in Dodger Stadium for their home games. During the past decade the Angels have been fielding better teams and their fan support has picked up but not to the level of the Dodgers.
