Is it possible to bike from Huntsville Texas to Muscatine Iowa?
Question:
They are 967 miles apart and it would take 16 hours by car Would it be possible to bike there? I'm thinking of doing so in the Summer.

Answer:
It is possible to bike from Canada all the way to the tip of South America. I doubt you would make it, but it is possible and some people have done it.

How do I go about everything concerning obtaining a hand-gun and possibly carrying in car? in Huntsville, Tx.?
Question:
I live in Huntsville, Texas and I am thinking about buying a hand-gun and learning how to use it. I am first wondering if I can carry it in my car. I would probably buy one of those finger-print Bio Gun Safes to keep gun inside while in car. But I am wondering mostly... What do I have to do to have a gun legally? What do I have to do to go to shooting ranges and does anyone recommend one in my area? Do I have to get a concealed handgun license or permit? And if so, where do I go to get this? Do you have to meet a certian specification for this? I shoot three types of guns every 6 months, work for a prison... Any help would be appreciated... Also, does anyone recommend a good Hand-gun for a woman that isn't too large or too small, doesn't kick terribly bad and is low maintenance? What about a Baretta? Don't know much but guessing a 9 millimeter is the size I'm looking for.

Answer:
If you buy a handgun you are obviously prepared to kill someone with it. What if you killed an innocent person or a child who got in the way ? In the UK only the police are allowed to carry a gun, this is for good reason, they are highly trained indivduals. What is the world coming to ?

Where should I take my Dodge Charger for Service?
Question:
I have a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T. I need to take it somewhere and get my brakes, brake pads, etc. replaced, New Tires, check for alignment, or need for repairs of any kind... A Maintenance check, Oil Change, etc. I believe my car is still under a limited power train warranty, but that is all. I don't have a Service Warranty or anything. I'm hoping to get nice tires that are All Purpose or All season because we're moving to a state that gets snow. Also hoping for really good brakes or performance brakes if possible. The basic ones that came on the car were horrible. I don't know if Mopar has a "Performance" Brake kit above OEM brakes. I also have a slight shake in the car, but I think it has to do with the brakes needing to be changed. Can anyone tell me where to go for "Honest and Dependable" Service and Repairs in the Conroe, Texas and surrounding areas? I live in Huntsville. The last time I took my car to the Team Dodge in Huntsville, the car ran like crap. I don't know if that's because when we bought the car it had some type of chip or setting that will let us drive super fast or what... But when we bought the car it drove like a High Performance Race car or something... and after we took it in for an oil change at the Team Dodge in Huntsville, Texas, it drove like crap, had no get up and go or anything. My first place I have found was DeMontrond in Conroe, Texas, but I don't know since they don't seem to be a all Dodge Dealer... =/ I guess what really matters is Quality Service but I don't want low-grade parts in my car and I heard some places do that. Can some one give me some expert advice on where to get my car serviced?

Answer:
Find a list of professional shops in your area at http://www.IATN.net/shopfinder A price club like http://www.samsclub.com or Costco is the best place to go for tires in my opinion, but they don't do brakes. I like Michelin and Bridgestone tires.

2008 Ford Focus Problems?
Question:
I bought a 2008 Ford Focus from Hilcrest Ford in Huntsville Texas. My mother, sister, and I have bought a total of 4 vehicles from this dealership not including all the service that my mother gets on her companies ambulances there. I have seen where people have the most complaints on rear suspension and odd tire wear. I took my car in to get serviced and they told me i needed all 4 new tires and that my aligment was off...ok i get cars need to alined...trust me i have been there done that with service departments I had a Benz C320 and wanted to save some bucks and went with this fun little ride. But explain this to me is it normal to have bought 2 sets of tires not including the new tires that were on the vehicle when i bought it, and then this set that has been on it less than 3 months be worn out?? and they were put on by the same man that told me i have problems with suspension alignment and tire wear????? SHOULDNT THEY HAVE CAUGHT THIS!!! THAT IS WHY I'M PAYING DEALER PRICES SO I DONT GET F***ED OVER?? Someone please tell me that they are having some issues too because this is not normal...i only have 44,000 miles...i mean literally 3 sets of tires???? I'm not dumb i get cars...something is way off right?? I have Pirelli P6 All Weather tires on this.....about 120 a pop I have really really good tires on this and i have had people tell that this could be the only thing saving my life...and these are people that are working on cars for Benz, land rover, i mean come on...im not out for the dealership i just want to feel safe and stop spending my hard hard hard earn bucks...

Answer:
I'd be curious to know what kind of tire they are putting on as replacements. Every car maker these days is putting on crappy tires on new cars. It saves them a ton of money. If they are replacing these crappy tires with the same brand, that is your problem right there. The 2001-2007 Focus models were really hard on tires. I haven't seen the issue on the 2008 and up models. My sense is you need to put on a better brand and model of tire. I used to work in a Ford service department. It's always cheaper to do tire and alignment work at a tire store. The dealer is just another middleman that needs to make a profit. Tire dealers are cheaper. A good resource is this http://www.tirerack.com and you can find other brands of tires. Good luck.

looking for a 68 to 70 dodge charger project car?
Question:
living in the woodlands texas area, im looking for a 68 to 70 dodge charger one that needs to be restored, i will be happy with just the body and must have a title. anyone in the conroe, huntsville, houston, or any area know where i can find one. i have spent hours already driving around trying to locate one, i know these cars are out there any help will be good. thanks

Answer:
There are several currently being offered for sale on eBay Motors, but even the really tired examples can command at least $5K. Remember "The Dukes of Hazzard"? The Chargers they didn't prang on that show have already mostly been restored. it would be easier to find a budget car by looking for the 1966-67 models. or the 1971-74 examples. Another good choice might be the Dodge Coronet of the same vintage

Anyone shedding a tear for this AH?
Question:
September 21, 2011 White Supremacist Executed for Texas Dragging By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — White supremacist gang member Lawrence Russell Brewer was executed Wednesday evening for the infamous dragging death slaying of James Byrd Jr., a black man from East Texas. Byrd, 49, was chained to the back of a pickup truck and pulled whip-like to his death along a bumpy asphalt road in one of the most grisly hate crime murders in recent Texas history. Brewer, 44, was asked if he had any final words, to which he replied: "No. I have no final statement." He glanced at his parents watching through a nearby window, took several deep breaths and closed his eyes. A single tear hung on the edge of his right eye as he was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m., 10 minutes after the lethal drugs began flowing into his arms, both covered with intricate black tattoos. Byrd's sisters also were among the witnesses in an adjacent room. "Hopefully, today's execution of Brewer can remind all of us that racial hatred and prejudice leads to terrible consequence for the victim, the victim's family, for the perpetrator and for the perpetrator's family," Clara Taylor, one of Byrd's sisters, said. She called the punishment "a step in the right direction." "We're making progress," Taylor said. "I know he was guilty so I have no qualms about the death penalty." Appeals to the courts for Brewer were exhausted and no last-day attempts to save his life were filed. Besides Brewer, John William King, now 36, also was convicted of capital murder and sent to death row for Byrd's death, which shocked the nation for its brutality. King's conviction and death sentence remain under appeal. A third man, Shawn Berry, 36, received a life prison term. "One down and one to go," Billy Rowles, the retired Jasper County sheriff who first investigated the horrific scene, said. "That's kind of cruel but that's reality." It was about 2:30 a.m. on a Sunday, June 7, 1998, when witnesses saw Byrd walking on a road not far from his home in Jasper, a town of more than 7,000 about 125 miles northeast of Houston. Many folks knew he lived off disability checks, couldn't afford his own car and walked where he needed to go. Another witness then saw him riding in the bed of a dark pickup. Six hours later and some 10 miles away on Huff Creek Road, the bloody mess found after daybreak was thought at first to be animal road kill. Rowles, a former Texas state trooper who had taken office as sheriff the previous year, believed it was a hit-and-run fatality but evidence didn't match up with someone caught beneath a vehicle. Body parts were scattered and the blood trail began with footprints at what appeared to be the scene of a scuffle. "I didn't go down that road too far before I knew this was going to be a bad deal," he said at Brewer's trial. Fingerprints taken from the headless torso identified the victim as Byrd. Testimony showed the three men and Byrd drove out into the county about 10 miles and stopped along an isolated logging road. A fight broke out and the outnumbered Byrd was tied to the truck bumper with a 24½-foot logging chain. Three miles later, what was left of his shredded remains was dumped between a black church and cemetery where the pavement ended on the remote road. Brewer, King and Berry were in custody by the end of the next day. The crime put Jasper under a national spotlight and lured the likes of the Ku Klux Klan and the Black Panthers, among others, to try to exploit the notoriety of the case which continues — many say unfairly — to brand Jasper more than a decade later. King was tried first, in Jasper. Brewer's trial was moved 150 miles away to Bryan. Berry was tried back in Jasper. DNA showed Byrd's blood on all three of them. Brewer was from Sulphur Springs, about 180 miles to the northwest, and had been convicted of cocaine possession. He met King, a convicted burglar from Jasper, in a Texas prison where they got involved in a KKK splinter group known as the Confederate Knights of America and adorned themselves with racist tattoos. Evidence showed Brewer had violated parole and was involved in a number of burglaries and thefts in the Jasper area. King had become friends with Berry and moved into Berry's place. Evidence showed Brewer came to Jasper to stay with them. http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2011/09/21/us/AP-US-Texa s-Execution-Dragging-Death.html?_r=1&hp=&pagewanted=print

Answer:
Shed a tear, no. But instead of being executed, I'd rather see him in Prison at hard labor for the rest of his life with no chance of parole. Being dead isn't really a punishment for him.

Answer:
As horrible as that crime is, capital punishment is never appropriate.

Hi can you please read my persuasive essay and told me any grammar errors, or if needs something else. Thanks?
Question:
I need help expecially with my commas. Would you run out of a house on fire knowing that your babies are trapped in that house, without even try to save them? The fire occurred at the Willingham home in Corsicana, Texas on December 23, 1991. Killed in the fire were Willingham's three daughters: two-year-old Amber Louise Kuykendall and one-year-old twins Karmon Diane Willingham and Kameron Marie Willingham. Willingham himself escaped the home with only minor burns. Stacy Kuykendall, Willingham's then-wife and the mother of his three daughters, was not home at the time of the fire, as she was out shopping. Years later Cameron Todd Willingham, 36, was executed by lethal injection on 17 February 2004 in Huntsville, Texas for the murder of his three children. Did Cameron Todd Willingham murder his children? Some people think that Todd Willingham is not guilty of murder because he loved his children and because the day of the fire he did tried to save them. Cameron Todd Willingham is guilty because he was a sociopath; he didn’t express any grief over the lost of his children and lied about what happened in the deathly fire. First of all, Dr Grigson, a psychologist for testifying for the state, stated that Willingham fit the profile of a sociopath whose conduct becomes more violent over time, and who lacks a conscience. He explained that a person with this degree of sociopath commonly has no regard for other people’s property or for other human beings. Since Willingham was very young he was a trouble maker who struggle and dropped out of school, and over time was arrested for among of other thing like driving under the influence of drugs, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and shoplifting. Willingham’s friend testified that Willingham once bragged about brutally killing a dog, also a neighbor testified that Willingham was verbally and physically abusive toward his family and that one time he beat his pregnant wife with a telephone in an effort to cause a miscarriage. This proves that he is a sociopath who tortured and killed animals, also abused his wife repeatedly. Secondly Willingham didn’t express any grief over the lost of his children. Diane Barbee, a neighbor of Willingham, testified that as the house began smoldering, Willingham was crouched down in the front yard, and despite the neighbor’s pleas, refused to go into the house in any attempt to rescue the children. Todd Morris was the first police officer on the scene and he found Willingham trying to push his car away from the house to save it from the fire, while his children were inside the house burning up. Willingham also didn’t show any grief at the hospital were Dr. Shawn and his team spent an hour at the emergency room trying to resuscitate Amber while next door Willingham was complaining and crying out for a nurse to help him because of the pain from his extremely minor. The same night, of the day of the fire, Willingham was seen at a local bar, where a fundraiser was held for the Willingham family, money that he used to buy a new par of darts stating that since everyone was feeling sorry for him money was not a problem anymore. This demonstrated that he was guilty because he didn’t even care that his children were death. Third, Willingham lied about what happened in the deadly fire he said that 2 year old Amber woke him up when the house was already full of smoke and after putting on a pair of pants, he could no longer hear his daughter’s voice, then he went down the corridor He said that when he made it to the children’s bedroom, he stood and his hair caught on fire and after he patted out the fire on his hair he got down on the ground and groped in the dark. He said he though he had found one of the twins, but it was doll. However, hours before his execution he confessed to his parents that there was something about the day of the fire he had lied about, he said that he had never actually crawled into the children’s room. As mentioned above, some people think that Todd Willingham is not guilty of murder because he loved his children and the day of the fire he did tried to save them. However, a blood- gas analysis for someone who’s been inside a burning house on Willingham proved that he had no more (carbon monoxide) in his lungs than somebody who had just smoke a cigarette. And if you known that you’re the only one in a house with your three babies and your 2 year old daughter wakes you up and there’s smoke and fire everywhere why would you ran out of the house without them, if you love them so much? In conclusion, Cameron Todd Willingham is guilty of murder because he was a sociopath, because he didn't express any grief over the lost of his children, and also because he lied about what happened in the deadly fire. Therefore the state of texas should keep the death penalty to make sociopaths like Willingham, who commonly have no regar for other people's property of for other human beings, pay fo

Answer:
...Willingham was complaining and crying out for a nurse to help him because of the pain from his extremely minor *wound/injury*. ...demonstrated that he was guilty because he didn’t even care that his children were *dead*. ...to his parents that there was something about the day of the fire he had lied about*:* he said (admitted?) that he had never actually crawled into the children’s room. Therefore*,* the state of *Texas* should keep the death penalty... I would also find a new word other than "sociopath" to subsitute in a few occasions. Your use of it became repetitive. I would also do the same for "said" in the fourth paragraph. Lastly, I would reword the hypothetical question in the second to last paragraph to avoid making a question. Leave it as a statement. All in all, not a bad essay. Just some minor corrections and advice, not anything that offended my eyes to read.

To live on the street or to not live on the street?
Question:
My boyfriend and I are looking for a place to move in together. He lives an hour away from me at the moment. I live in Huntsville Texas going to college. Together we make about $450+ a month. $200 of that goes to pay just for my car (not including insurance). I need a new job to make more money and he can get a great paying one here. He just needs a transfer, But, my question is we cannot move in somewhere with no money, but we cant make more money without the jobs here. What should we do? I live in a dorm now that my parents pay for, which they also cannot afford. I dont want to be 'under the paw' any longer because they take extreme advantage of me. He lives with his dad, the arrangement with that is he was supposed to be paid by his father (that he works with) and instead his dad takes all the money he makes at his slightly higher than minimum wage job. My car is a piece of junk that breaks down all the time, so I have to spend the money on it and also I work everyday. It takes me $27 to fill my car up and my job is an hour away (1/4 a tank of gas) so I'm spending as much as I make in gas alone.
