They had opened their gifts," Eberling said. The victims have not yet been identified, but Eberling said it appears they all died of gunshot wounds. He said authorities still don't know what sparked the incident. Police and firefighters rushed to the Lincoln Vineyards complex after receiving an open-ended 911 call at about 11:30 a.m., Eberling said. "There was an open line. No one was saying anything," he explained. So police went into the apartment, located in a middle-class, suburban neighborhood of Grapevine, not far from the upscale Fort Worth neighborhood of Colleyville. The apartment is at the back of the complex, overlooking the athletic fields of Colleyville Heritage High School. But many of the nearby apartments are vacant, and police said no neighbors reported hearing anything on a quiet Christmas morning when many people were not around. Jose Fernandez, a 35-year-old heavy equipment mechanic who moved to the complex with his family about six months ago, said he always felt safe in the area, but is now afraid to let his 10-year-old son play freely outside. "This is really outrageous especially on Christmas," said Fernandez, who was visiting family for the holiday and returned to find several police cars parked outside his home. "This has shocked everybody. It has scared everybody. I guess something like this can happen anywhere, but seven people dead. It's just very scary," he added. Eberling agreed the area is fairly quiet, noting it is the first homicide in Grapevine since 2010. Christy Posch, a flight attendant who moved to the complex about six months ago so her son could attend the high school, said she lives a few buildings away and did not hear any gunshots. You can't get any more gun carriers than Texas! bats are built for use in baseball. guns are built as weapons. omegaman, you're arguing 2 different points: if you're gonna bring up Mexico then what about England where guns are illegal. In a few months I'll be moving to Texas & I need to find a high school to finish 12 grade. I'm looking for a school in the Grapevine, Dallas/Fort Worth area. I'm going to have a car so I don't mind the distance. I'm kind of a free spirit so I'm looking for a school that doesn't require school uniforms, also I have my hair dyed different colors. Any suggestions? Anything near the airport.

All of the school districts in the Metroplex will end the school year on or before June 4. If you aren't moving down here for a few more months then you must be referring to next school year which will start in late August. You don't say where you're living now. I know in NYC students can choose to go to any school, in any borough they want, but it's not like that here. You are assigned to go to a school according to your address. When you enroll you'll have to show a utility bill or lease to prove you live there. If you'd like to go to another school in your city, and there is room there, you'll be allowed to transfer to it. However, you can't go to a school in another city. None of the public high schools require uniforms, like a lot of the elementary & middle schools do, but they do have dress codes concerning bare midriffs, length of shorts, sagging pants, pictures or words on T-shirts, and some consider multicolored hair or long hair on boys a distraction so it's not allowed either. I hope you'll be able to find a school that doesn't dampen your spirit too much so you can enjoy your senior year.

All you had to do to stop this was to go to Florida just before the baby was born...marry guy #1 in Florida and give birth in Florida too. And then the baby would have been the legal father of guy #1 and it would never matter who the biological father was as he would never have had any rights over the child. Now you need a lawyer, a good lawyer. Tell him everything and get him to get a restraining order against guy #2 for all the violence. (Also, get guy #1 tested as he could be wrong about not being fertile and he could be the father.) And then raise everything with the lawyer...the violence he exhibited towards you, the threatening of your children (include any police reports), and his own criminal record (including not to be unsupervised around children, etc. If your lawyer does things properly, this man will not get custody of your baby. At most, he may get "supervised" visitation, that presuming that he is the father and he can prove it. Go get a lawyer...a good one...even if you have to sell your house to get a lawyer, it will be money well spent! And get that restraining order now! Good luck!
