Answer:
Call them and ask.

Is anybody selling a good USED car in the Grand Prairie/Arlington Tx area under $2000 dollars and thats it???
Question:
-Used car with decent mileage -Under $2000 period. -IN pretty good condition -IN or very near the Grand Prairie and Arlington or Cedar Hill area Please let me know. Thanks -From a private dealer...not a dealership.

Answer:
Your best bet is craigslist. A very reliable almost bullet-proof car for under $2000 is a 90-93 honda accord. The interior is very heavy duty so most are still in great condition. Get one between 100-125k miles. Parts are DIRT cheap due to a great following. Great gas mileage and ANY mechanic can work or it for next to nothing. Also it front wheel drive so good in the rain and snow. And even is the engine dies you can get a used one for $500 (unheard of with any other car-period) off ebaymotor.com. You can easily get 200-300k miles. Craigslist is good because you can find one close to you and the people selling it are desparate for the money. Good luck-remeber to vote for a best answer

Car Dealerships for Bad Credit People in Texas?
Question:
okay I have bad credit very bad a score of 380....yes i know terrible.. i need a "new" used car or truck i live in arlington texas by fort worth, dallas, and grand prairie i have a very low down payment and i have an old 1990 camry with rust on it i could trade in but doubt i can get much any ideas on what car dealer will let me get a car or truck with very very low down payment and extremely bad credit?

Answer:
With a credit score that low you are going to have major problems not only with a loan but with insurance as well. As you may know, even if you get a loan, the interest rate will be very high and you'll probably be asked for a large down payment relative to the cost of the car. Make sure you stay aways from "buy here, pay here" car dealers. Their business depends on repossesssing cars they've sold with high interest rates that their customers can't afford. Is it possible that you can get someone to cosign a loan with you? This is really the only reasonable option for you. The cosigner would only pay if you were to stop paying or miss payments. You seriously need to start making on-time payments to get your credit score up.

what is the legal limit on window tinting?
Question:
I live in TX Grand prairie, they gave me a ticket for having the window tint to dark the windows were rolled almost all the way down exept for about 2 in. He told me they were too dark and took them off in that spot, and then gave me the ticket for the tint being to dark, I was like WTF you already took them off and I still get a ticket? Soo I went and asked for a court date to fix this problem, cus I wasnt about to pay for that since he did take the tint off, do i have a case or what? I have been stoped on that van probably about 3 other time and never told anything about the tint, I also have a car with darker tint and have been stoped twice and nothing about the tint has comed up, I think he was just trying to fill his quota he took out a little apparatus that supposely cheked the % of the tint I have been stoped all those times but never gotten a ticket exept this time because of the tint, they stop me cuz of some bogus reason then check my license plate my DL and insurance guess cus I am hispanic and in a white neighboorhood? just guessing???

Answer:
He used a tint meter. They are usually accurate within 2%. So if the law is 35% and the tint meter shows 30%, you are in violation. When we purchased tint meters for our department, we tested a couple brands and tried to get them to screw up. With no such luck. So they are accurate. As getting stopped before and it not coming up. Some officers might not enforce it. I don't think you have a case at all. If you were in violation of the state's tint law. Then it's the officers choice to give you the ticket. Also the tint needed to be removed. So he did that for you. I don't really see the problem. In the future, research the laws before you get tint or buy a car already tinted. 10 seconds on google and I found the texas tint laws.

Texas Auto title not transferred, now tickets not mine?
Question:
I sold my Spyder (car) back in March. The people I sold it to never transferred the title and now have outstanding tickets against it. My ex-husband was bragging to my neighbor saying something that I have/will have a warrant out for ME since the car is still in my name. Evidently the city/county mailed something to my old PO Box (which my ex has reopened) and he intercepted the letter and isn't about to give it to me. I do have the top part of the title to mail, about the title not being changed - BUT - it still shows Mitsubishi Motor Credit, not my info. I also have a bill of sale. ~ Where do I begin? How do I find out IF I have a warrant and WHERE it would be coming from? I think the guy that bought my car is in Grand Prairie, but I'm not sure. My neighbor that relayed this info is a dealer and has a wrecker service and will go 'repo' my car when this is resolved.

Answer:
call the municipal court to determine your warrant status. I would also report your ex-husband opening your mail. that is a federal offense THEN, provide the court with the documentation you have and give them all the information on the parties that you sold the car to.

Can anybody tell me abt Midas Courtesy check? Is it really a reliable place to examine a used car ?
Question:
I live in Wichita, KS. But i like a car that is in Grand Prairie, TX. I am planning to visit the place next week to buy that car. But before buying I want it to get examined in every way. I hav the carfax report of the car but I still wanna get it checked, so I was thinking abt using the Midas Courtesy Check service. Is it a reliable service? Do they really check the car very nicely? Is it worth?

Answer:
Midas, Firestone, or any of the "chain" repair shops advertising a courtesy check isn't going to tell you what you need to know regarding a used car. The courtesy check is there so they (the repair shop) can make money off of people coming in for oil changes or tire changes. If you want to get your car checked out, take it to a reliable mechanic shop, or to a dealer and have the car checked. It may cost you, maybe up to $100 for a good check, but it would be worth it.
