The rail system goes all the way to leander and back. Leander isn't far from georgetown.

Answer:
I don't know about Austin, but TSU has a shuttle that goes at least as far north as Hancock Center (45th Street). if you could catch some sort of bus to Hancock center then you can hop on the shuttle.

Texas - window tint ticket?
Question:
I got the windows of my car (nissan 240sx) tinted (10% on all windows) when I lived in Washington state about a year or so ago, and moved to Georgetown Texas (just outside Austin) about 6-7 months ago. Well, today I got pulled over by a Highway patrol and was given a ticket for having 9% window tint when the legal limit is 35% (I had NO idea what the legal limit is till i was pulled over today). My question is this: is there any way to get this ticket dropped? Can I remove the tint and request a court date? Do I have to remove ALL the tint or just the front windows? Also, any idea if this ticket will affect my car insurance (Progressive) since it's not a moving violation? Thanks for any information

Answer:
The window tint ticket will not affect your insurance in any way what so ever. The window tinting law only applies to the windshield, back window, and both front windows. As long as you have left and right sideview mirrors, you can have any amount of tinting you want on the rear window. There is no way that you can get the ticket dropped. I will say that it is a bit odd that they actually ticketed for it though. Since most people are ignorant of the law, then they usually just give a warning. However, not knowing the law is not an excuse to get it dropped. The person you SHOULD take issue with is the person who tinted your window. If they do it as a business, then they would have known about the tinting law and went ahead and did it anyway, which means they knowingly screwed you over. Also, the window tinting law says that you can have up to 25% tinting, not 35%. I have linked DPS's web site with the law below.

Holy Crap--I had no idea all these people died!! I know there was a rumor (I live in LR, AR) that Vince Foster and Hillary were having an affair. When he was found dead, I always thought of that rumor. I went to school (Elem school and Jr High) with a lot of the kids of parents involved with Clinton.
