Answer:
Hi I'm 13 and kind of had the same problem, this year I joined the JV golf team, and it has really improved my game. You get to have access to the range and short game facilities during practices, and you may even get free balls at the range. You may also get chances to play during the practices. And if you are really good, you may even get to play in the school tournaments for free

after my carnation flowers die, do I trim off the dead buds?
Question:
This is my favorite flower since I started gardening full time. I planted it last year. It's a mound shape with grayish/blue spiked leaves. The show it put on this year was a car stopper. The flowers have now turned and now it looks multi-color with the dead buds. Should I trim them or let nature takes its course?

Answer:
yes trimming (deadheading) makes it actually grow more flowers and makes a healthier plant.

Need to Fix my 1993 car look better...paint job or like?
Question:
I have an old but otherwise nice 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra, four door, white, body is good, paint is not bad in most places, with maybe three or four spot of small rust (really that the paint has scratch off). I would love to get it fix, maybe a decent not top of the line paint job or like that go in hand with the value of the car....just want it to look better. Anyone can direct me to reasonable shop that would do this type of work...i love the car. I live in Lewisville/Flower Mound, Texas area.....

Answer:
Stop by a couple of used car dealers.... Ask them who does there wholesale paint and body repairs.... Many of these shops are "underground" so to speak and may not work for the general public or walk in's.... Ask around and you should be able to get one to do a reasonable job at an inexpensive price..... Or do it yourself like this for under $75..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXbIJ4M37lw http:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUYJZHGgiFc http://www.youtube.com/wat ch?v=xVKWV0iyG-U

If you were in this predicament, which option would be MORE important?
Question:
I live in North TX. Denton. DFW area. There's only 1 cab service in town. Lucky for that, but they take 3 hrs. to come pick you up from WalMart, & your food is all spoiled by the time they come, if it's summer time. They sometimes turn off their phones, & no one can get through to them. Some of the dispatchers are rude enough to make you cry. There's 1 city bus service, which also serve the 2 universities in town. But with the city service, it's $1.25 each way. $2.50 round trip. Only 8 bus lines. & a lot of job opportunities are either on the service road of the highway (I-35) or in other cities, like Frisco, Plano, Flower Mound, etc. The bus drivers are very rude, & publicly embarrass people & talk to them like they're a piece of trash. Both the cab service and the bus service threatened to not allow me to ride with them, just because of THEIR rudeness & hectic day. But they do other people like this, too. So, I'm thinking about taking driving warmup lessons & using their car for the driving exam for a fee of $145. I had a full, unrestricted license when I lived in other states, but when I came here to TX, they said it was the policy to take the test ALL over again for new residents. Thank GOODNESS I passed the written part! OK. Here's the 2nd situation. My laptop is 3 1/2 yrs. old, & it's functional, but it has WAY too many problems with the screen & the disc drive. DVD+/-RW drive, & who knows what other problems. The bottom 1/2 of the screen has many different colors & is destroyed. I can only see the top 1/2. I'm afraid of getting ripped off by a technician, just to get it repaired, & I heard that the cost of repairs is just about as much as buying a new one, just like with cars. So I plan to buy a brand new laptop from WalMart. Since I have a disability & a college degree (BA in Spanish/Liberal Arts), & can't find a job because of limited transportation & because of my physical & mental limitations, it's hard for me to find work that won't trigger off anxiety attacks & disrupt the company I'm working for. I NEED to have a well-functioning computer with internet access so that I CAN find jobs, & here where I live, most jobs REQUIRE you to @ least have a valid driver's license, & I can have more opportunities, & then I can eventually get a car so I can have BIGGER & BETTER opportunities. Yes, they put me back on a permit since it's the policy for all new TX residents. But out of both of these options. Which is the most important? I can only choose 1, but I need others' opinions on what you think would be more beneficial. A) The driving course & test -OR- B) A brand new, well-functioning laptop? My warranty is over.

Answer:
The driving test would be more important. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

Do you see potential in this fictitious tale?
Question:
Laws Cause “Dammit man, what am I gonna do? It’s almost midnight; I know that woman is inside losing her damn mind. Flippin' out just because I wasn’t home from work by eight o’clock!” Lawrence said to himself while sitting in his parked car. He was outside of the duplex that he shared with his girlfriend Ramona or "Mona" as she liked to be called. He managed to sneak away from his thoughts to steal a glimpse at the car’s clock; he had been sitting in his car for an hour contemplating what his next move would be. He had broken one of Ramona's commandments and she would be fuming mad if she ever found out where he had been tonight and why he was out so late. Something so innocent like trying to show support for his employee, had escalated into this chaotic situation. Lawrence was confused and with nowhere else to run and hide from the big bad wolf; he chose to stay where it was safe and convenient, in his car. Reflecting on his day, he thought of how it all began. An hour before his work day ended, his receptionist, Tia Raine, knocked on his office door and entered. Looking a little preoccupied she asked him, "Hi Lawrence, I know it's last minute but I was wondering if you would mind coming to tonight's meeting with me? I mean, if you can make it that would be great! It's been a long three hundred and sixty five days. I started this mission as a victim but now I am a survivor! With your help of course.",she added. Tia smiled bashfully and looked at him for a response. He was so much more to her than just her "boss". Over the past two years she had confided so much in him. She was so grateful for Lawrence Wallace. He helped her get her life in order and back on track. He had even been the one to suggest that she start attending weekly Domestic Abuse support meetings. When Tia first began working at The Wallace Construction Company, she was a mess. She was still holding on to her abusive marriage to Marcus. Within their seven years together she had endured numerous trips to the emergency room, followed by flowers, gifts, and make up sex. One day she woke up fed up, utterly exhausted of their routine and prayed for a way out. After a year had passed while battling mounds of emotional conflict, she decided to simply walk away. With constant encouragement from Mr. Wallace, she filed for divorce as well. It had been a long hard voyage but within a years time she had fulfilled her major goal by moving out of town and far from Marcus. It was not an easy adjustment, but necessary for her growth. With the endless support of the owner and employees of the W.C.C., she was able to keep her job. Not having family or friends around, she found her co-workers to be all the family she needed. "Yes, of course Tia, anything for the woman that keeps this business afloat!", Lawrence smiled and was glad to oblige. He felt it was his personal responsibility to save her. She had travelled a hard road, but he was proud of her progress. "Thank you so much...for everything, Lawrence." Tia said and smiled a tad teary eyed, and left his office closing the door behind her. What about dinner?", Lawrence blurted out loud. He would have to lie to Ramona about what he was doing, where he was going, and who he was with. He hated lying to her, she always found ways to squeeze the truth out of him. Even if the lie was for her own benefit. Besides, he knew she would never understand him supporting Tia. She was abandoning her vows and her spouse. It was a sign of failure to Ramona. "Till death..." was what she believed in. Thinking of a fool proof story, Lawrence picked up his cell phone and pushed the speed dial button for Ramona. Ecstatic when she didn't pick up the line, he left a brief message after the beep, bringing his little white lie to life. He pawned it all on work, he figured she would never make a huge deal out of him staying late for a job. It was difficult owning your own business, but it all paid off in the end; his job paid the bills. Unfortunately, he was wrong and she did care. Ramona first began calling him once every ten minutes after the eight o'clock hour but he did not answer his phone. He wanted to be respectful of the meeting and its members, so he shut the ringer off. By the time nine o'clock had come and gone, she had already left thirty messages. One hour past curfew, and then two, once the meeting was over, it was after ten o'clock at night and he was close to three hours late. Still sitting in his car an hour later, if the clock was indeed correct; Lawrence was almost four hours late and counting. He was in trouble, but it was worth it, tonight he had been enlightened. Something happened to him while sitting there listening to non-stop tales of abuse. He felt himself empathising with some of the women. Listening to their stories and reliving their experiences but not with "Bob the bruiser" or "Paul the pounder" but with "Ramona the ravaging beast" as the antagonist. Lawrence learned that he had more in common with those women within the meeting walls than he ever expected. "Was he a victim?",he questioned himself, sitting in the dark in his car. She did have a bad habit of raising her hands to him and frequently taking jabs at his self esteem, he thought. "Does that count as abuse?" "No, it can't be, men are the stronger sex, physically and emotionally! You only read about that in fiction books.", he concluded. Lawrence's eyes locked on the blinking red notification illuminating on his phone indicating VOICE MAIL FULL. While he was out Ramona had been busy. She managed to fill up his voice mail with over fifty descriptive messages disclosing just how much trouble he was in. Resting his forehead on the steering wheel, he sighed. Lawrence was sure that she had done the same to his friends phones as well. He was in no rush to go inside that place he called home and the ide a of confrontation with Ramona made him shake with anxiety. If the scenario was in reverse then he would have easily said yes, their relationship was toxic, but it was not in reverse. The truth was, Lawrence was the man and Ramona was the woman. No one would believe his story. Ramona would be regarded as a stalker at best and patted on the back. He would be laughed at and taken as a joke; Because he was supposed to be a man about it and deal with it. "Is that what I'm supposed to do?", Lawrence thought searching his mind for the answer. "It's apart of the game, son...", he remembered his old Uncle Pumpkin once said to him during his high school days. "...and you can't be so sensitive bout these ladies, ya know? You see sometimes, the really good looking ones are a little bit crazy. But that's alright you see cus' it keeps a real man on his toes!" Lawrence considered himself to be a real man. He knew that there was something a little off with the old man's advice, even back then. He smiled to himself knowing that his uncle had only wanted to give his young nephew a few tips on how to bed women, not to have relationships with them. Real relationships had to be cultivated, through time and experience. Lawrence had his share of women back in the day, but he had chosen to commit to Ramona. She was important to him, so he decided to go inside. Exhausted, he was ready to give into whatever fate had in store for him. "Women are expected to act emotional from time to time, every man knows that.", Lawrence convinced himself finally.

hey is this well written for an english assignment?
Question:
Assignment 1B As I was walking back to the car, my mind couldn’t stop thinking about the man that had been staring at me as I walked around the market. His smile drew me closer and soon, I was mesmerized by his familiar face. The stranger’s squinted, sweet eyes glared at me as I picked out the ripest mangoes of the bunch. The emotional pull towards the silhouette made me realize why I was so fixated; he was the mirror image of my Morfar (Grandpa). I hadn’t seen my Morfar in about three years and it was impossible that he could fly out to New York. I can remember the last time I spent the summer with him; he worked on a giant farm that was home to fields of cattle and wild flowers. We would walk outside and into the hazy sun; I would often sprint into the barns full of grain and play amongst the colossal mounds of crop until my Mormor started screaming. I had to shake myself off and realize that I was simply projecting what I’ve been missing into my everyday reality. My Morfar couldn’t have been in the US and certainly not in the Setauket Stop & Shop. When the wheels of the silver beetle came to a halt in our driveway, I raced up the stairs and onto my computer. From Google to Facebook to Youtube, my fingers grew tired and my brain became numb. I was trying to escape the thought of my Morfar and his faux existence at the store. I looked at old pictures of our house in Denmark and traced his soft features with my nails. The more and more I thought about this strange happening, the more I wondered how much he’d been thinking of me. Did he think about me today...Yesterday...This week? These feelings warped around my skull and body until my entire atmosphere had become muddled and dizzy. My focus returned to the tedious activity of searching around for nothing on Facebook. After a few moments of pondering, I noticed the tiny, red square light up in the top, left corner of my screen. 1 NEW NOTIFICIATON – 1 NEW FRIEND REQUEST – JOHNNY The image of an older male was pasted on my monitor; his face was home to a bushy, white moustache, thin round glasses, and a welcoming smirk. I looked for any information on how I knew him yet his profile was private. I sent him a message, asking where he knew me from. I waited and waited for a response…I read the new message from him, titled “Hej Freja”, and after the last word was scanned by my eyes, they released a quiet stream of tears upon my cheeks. His name was Johnny and he was part of my family. Johnny explained that we were related through the blood of my Mormor; I, also, vaguely remembered staying with them when I was younger. This was the start of a connection between my home and I. I feel as though my Mormor’s spirit sent that man into my life that day to remind me that the red substance sliding through my veins is pure and it’s running through the bodies of many others that do care about me. I forgot about the power of love; a stranger taught me how to regain my lost power.

Answer:
It's good well done. Only a couple of things: "...as I picked out the ripest mangoes out of the bunch." You only really need one 'out' and it can go in either place. "...it was almost impossible that he would be able to fly out to New York." You already imply capacity ("could") with 'be able'. You could probably also just say "... that he could fly out to New York" "My Morfar couldn’t HAVE been in the US..." "...asking where he knew me from." (stick with past tense, it reads more easily.) otherwise it's all good. =)
