Answer:
I don't think so. The salt in the ocean doesn't transfer up into the rain clouds. However, if the metal was very near to the beach, it might get a splash from the occasional east to west gale force wind.

Answer:
Any bodyshop/ paint supplier can give you a color similar to your vehicle. The problem with touching up a spot with a brush is that paint is meant to be sprayed, not brushed. If this is a solid color you can achieve a fairly good match brushing it. However, if its a metallic color it will be very difficult to get a good match. Metallic colors will actually change shades depending on what pressure their sprayed at, brushing it on will not duplicate the look of being sprayed. Just keep in mind that touch ups are meant for corrosion protection, if you have bare metal exposed get any paint on it to stop it from rusting. But if your just looking for something close, contact any shop or paint supplier and they can probably mix you up the paint for your car. If you want an undetectable match, you would need the spot repainted.

As far as you can get. 100 miles is definitely safe. The threat decreases exponentially the further away you get. I grew up on the coast and we considered 50 miles safe. The worst thing you can do is panic and no, your family should not come get you. 110 people died during evacuations from Rita. Avoid driving on the roads if possible (meaning those far inland), but if you are on the coast, you are the one who needs to get out and get to where you can.

On vacation I was driving on the HWY in corpus christi heavy traffic due to holiday weekend of the 4th. Cars in front of me starting slamming on brakes, I was the unfortunate driver that veered to the right to miss the car in front of me and a truck was parked on the shoulder no hazard lights on and not completely on the shoulder his tires were touching the white line. You must go to the court hearing. If you do not they will issue a warrant for your arrest. Sounds stupid but I had the same thing in NJ. They make you appear because you are an out of state resident for some reason. Unfortunately in they eyes of the law you are at fault in this situation because you were not maintaining proper distance between vehicles, and did not have full control of your vehicle. It is B.S but that is the way the law is written.

and she now lives in Kentucky. We live in a place that is all white, very redneckish, but no crime hardly at all. Never lock our doors when we sleep and never lock are cars when we go places. Her mom got a job at Corpus Christi A&M and her and her brother get to go there to school for free. She doesn't tan well, therefore she doesnt like to be outside that much. She is very quite and doesnt make friends easily and personall I think she is going to hate it. Corpus Christi is an awful place. The crime is out of control, gangs, mexican mafia , drugs you name it ! My husband and I went down there last winter for work. We were there for 8 long months. I never want to go back. Theft is rampant down there lock your doors, your car, don't leave anything outside you want to keep or it'll be gone.It's a dirty little city with unkept buildings and homes. Padre Island is ok but the beaches always have seedweed washed up (lots of it) on shore and theres soooo many people.I doubt she'll like it much.
