88/14 : Obama .. What is the world coming to ?
Question:
Law enforcement arrested two men in Tennessee who had plans to rob a gun dealer to shoot Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and “as many non-Caucasians” as possible, an official said on Monday. An official from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said police found the men in the Jackson, Tennessee area with a number of guns, including a sawed-off shotgun, in their car. “They wanted to go to a place where they could shoot as many non-Caucasian as they could,” the official said, noting that the men first planned to rob a gun dealer. “They also had a plot to assassinate Sen. Obama.” 88/14 .... This is an absolute tragedy. A discusting one. It's time to broaden your minds people and accept that there is MANY OTHER people on this planet and not all of them LOOK LIKE YOU... i'm pointing this in the direction of the people who believe in this filth and un-educated slime. C'mon society; Can you really believe this? Is this what the world is coming to? PS: this isn't the first instance of this... which makes this story even better. "you ask what is the world coming too as though people of color have not been hated for hundreds of years..." - i say this because the problem is increasing, not decreasing; meaning: i can sadly say it's probably not going to get better from here on in. Im not hiding in a closet. I live in a culturally diverse place where we co-exist as one and see eachother eye to eye ... we walk side-by-side , not in front or behind ... if you consider that being in a closet then i'd hate to be where you are. i dont think some of youare understanding what im trying to portray... civilization has come so far... in some aspects. its not just simply obama im talking about... its the fact that this has and still is going on widespread across the world, and nott just between blacks and whites... some places this doesnt exist.. some places it does. my point is, yeah worser things have happened, but have they happened as long? its like a never ending war between races for personal reasons that people decide to take upon society... thats my point. explosions happen things happen, this is still happening and showing signs of worsening. this is my point. im looking for input and debate. not critisism.

Answer:
I agree with you completely. Sadly, I expected some of this to happen. Anytime there's a major change in the status quo there are going to be resisters to change. Some incredibly short-sighted people will always assume the rest of the world agrees with their very narrow vision.

Help me with my depression?
Question:
I’m from Jackson, Tennessee. I moved up to New York to attend the Merchant Marine Academy. I’m usually a happy and outgoing person, who is eager to make friends and talk to people. Throughout my adolescence, I was occasionally struck with bouts of sadness and despair; I got over it for a little while though. But in the past six months or so, I’ve become almost cripplingly depressed. There are three major things that have contributed to this depression, but I’m certain they aren’t the only driving force. Before going to the academy, I broke up with my girlfriend of four years for reasons I am still unsure about. I deeply regret it and have felt incredibly alone since then. I’ve already tried to get her back, but she is already dating one of my friends, which is a low blow to me. I had an aunt that pretty much raised me. She lived across the street with my four little cousins and she was kind of like my second mom. In the beginning of the semester here, there was an indoctrination ceremony that my aunt came all the way from Tennessee to see. Afterwards, she stayed with my parents in NY for a few days, but got into a fatal car accident on her way back home. I loved her a lot, and I can’t seem to get over her death. Lastly, one of my close cousins is going through an excruciating moment in her life to the point where it is deeply depressing me. Help. My depression is constant and I can’t seem to enjoy life anymore. It drains my motivation to fulfill responsibilities. My confidence has plummeted and I can barely socialize. Making friends has become so difficult, that, unfortunately, I am beginning to give up. I’m on good terms with everyone in my school, but I can’t seem to be as close as everyone else is with one another. I don’t click into conversations and nobody seems to want to be my friend. Help?

Answer:

how long would it take to walk from?
Question:
Fairfax virginia to Jackson TN. I recently came across a book where a man gathered up donations and walked from one city to another. He never stayed in a hotel, never get into a car and only stopped to eat three times aday, if he wasnt sleeping, eating, using the restroom or resting, he was walking. It took him a couple of weeks to get where he was going. Im not planning on doing this now (maybe a few years down the road) But assuming I travel at an average pace, slept 6-8 hours a day and stopped for an hour and a half combined a day to eat, how long would it take me to walk from Fairfax Virginia to Jackson, Tennessee?

Answer:

Where is Al Sharp & Jessie Jackson on this????
Question:
It's black and white. The following is as accurate as I could make it. I was unable to open some files of interest. If you have a weak stomach you may want to stop right here. Anyone that knows of an error in the facts of this piece please leave a comment. I write this on the assumption that those arrested are indeed guilty. In January 2007 the animals pictured on top; car-jacked, then raped Christopher Newsom, cut off his penis, then set him on fire and fatally shot him several times while they forced his girlfriend, Channon Christian, to watch. Channon Christian, was beaten and gang-raped in many ways for some days by most of them, while they took turns urinating on her. Then they cut off her breasts and put household cleaners in her mouth ... and then murdered her. Knoxville (WVLT) - The District Attorney General of KnoxCounty announced the list of charges facing now five suspects in the double murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. The District Attorney General Randy Nichols is not saying whether or not he will seek the death penalty, but he does say the State will seek conviction for all charges filed in a 24-page indictment from the Knox County Grand Jury. Lemaricus Davidson, 25, faces a total of 46 charges. Letalvis Cobbins, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. George Thomas, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. Vanessa Coleman,18, faces 40 Tennessee state charges. Eric Boyd, 24, also arrested in connection with the fatal carjacking, only faces federal charges as an accessory after the fact. He was not indicted by Knox county grand jury. The charges range from murder to robbery to aiding and abetting. The one charge they are NOT being held on is the one known as "hate crime". I would like to know why that is. In texas some years back a couple of white guys drug a black guy down the road behind their pickup truck and were charged with a hate crime among others—and justifiably so. The false accusations against the Duke athletes of last year received wide publicity in the media. Why hasn’t this gruesome crime? Not even FOX is following this! Is it because the victims are just average whites? (Or Tenn. "hillbillies"?) I would like to know when whites are going to receive equal protection under the law.

Answer:
Ya know I wonder this myself... i am not a raciest but if we celebrated white history month (like black history month) we are racest, and if we have someone call us a racest name then we have to ignore it!! I will never understand why everyother race can celebrate their history publically but we can not b/c we do not want to be racest. If indeed these people are guilty I see no reason "hate crime" should not be used against them......

2008 NFL Week 3 Predictions?
Question:
KC @ ATL - I still have faith in Ryan and Turner and in all honesty, im sure Ryan is going to be working on his completions in the red zone this week. Home field advantage seemed to play a big role in atlanta during week 1 vs detroit. Pick : Atlanta OAK @ BUF - Buffalo has been playing great football, edwards has been keeping his composure well and making key plays and Parrish has been very consistent so far. Given home field advatage and the momentum that this very promising bills team has been carrying, im going with the home team. Pick - Buffalo TB @ CHI - Tampa is still out garcia, despite sundays game against atlanta, i think Chicago's defense will preform well and shut down the tb offense. Once again, home team is my pick. Pick - Chicago CAR @ MIN - Jackson has looked horrible and Delhomme has been playing very well in the clutch, however, Minnesota did a fairly good job handling indy on sunday despite the loss and i consider them one of the 0-2 teams that has the most potential. Also given the very close wins for carolina, and being on the road, I am going to go for an upset with a vikings win. Pick - Minnesota MIA @ NE - Miami.... well what can i say, if the jets couldn't beat NE in NY, Miami will be lucky to get a TD at Gillette Stadium. Pick - New England CIN @ NYG - NY is looking very good early on, Cincinnati the exact opposite. No brainer pick. Pick - New York HOU @ TEN - Tennessee's defense has looked immaculate so far, Houston has been cold for a week and now they're playing on the road, I'm going to take tennessee. Pick - Tennessee ARI @ WAS - Tough pick imo, Moss however had a big game sunday rushing 164 yds, and it seemed as if they finally figured they're offense out. On the contrary, so did arizona. Close pick but im going to have to say that washington is going to hand arizona they're first loss. Pick - Washington NO @ DEN - Despite how close both the saints and the broncos games were, and despite the controversial fumble, denver has been impressing me over and over again. I'm taking cutler and the broncos. Pick - Denver DET @ SF - Kitna.... where to begin, lets keep this one brief and just call it a SF win. Pick - San Fransisco STL @ SEA - Seattle's injuries are a plague on that team right now, St.Louis has the talent to beat them, I'm going with an upset win. Pick - St.Louis CLE @ BAL - Cleveland is another 0-2 team that i believe has playoff potential. They held the steelers to a close game which is accomplishment enough. Baltimore is cold. I'm going with the away team. Pick - Cleveland JAC @ IND - Jacksonville caught seattleitous and is not playing with a very healthy team. Pick - Indianapolis PIT @ PHI - Tough pick but McNabb and Westbrook are looking solid despite the nail bitter loss to dallas. Pick - Philadelphia DAL @ GB - Dallas is well.... dallas and I just doing see Rogers beating a veteran team like dallas. No brainer pick. Pick - Dallas NYJ @ SD - Rivers has been playing well and this is my last 0-2 team that i believe has playoff potential. My pick goes to the home team. Pick - San Diego Post your picks / thoughts

Answer:
CHAZ wow are you serious ..... the colts nor the Jags will make the playoffs ... thats the dumbest think i have ever heard ... who exactly will win thet division then ... the TiTANTs or the tha "other team from texas" not a chance .. .... Jags and Colts are prolly both playoff teams once injuries subside ... they are of the elite....

Running Back Pick-up Question?
Question:
I need a bye week running back for LT in week 9. Bengals are talking about benching perry so benson seems like my best shot. Our RB waiver wire is pretty thin. I let sammy morris go just b/c of inconsistency. Others on the wire are Norwood, Taylor, and Fred Jackson. So i have 2 questions. 1.) Who should I drop to get Benson 2.) Can I acquire a decent RB for PHL defense. 3.) I also have QB problems who should I give and get? QB: Jay Cutler (Den) WR: Greg Jennings (GB) WR: Isaac Bruce (SF) WR: Derrick Mason (Bal) RB: LaDainian Tomlinson (SD) RB: Ronnie Brown (Mia) WR: Brandon Lloyd (Chi) K: John Kasay (Car) DEF: Tennessee (Ten) WR: Larry Fitzgerald (Ari - BENCHED) WR: Roddy White (Atl - BENCHED) QB: Jake Delhomme (Car - BENCHED) WR: Joey Galloway (TB - BENCHED) RB: Darren Sproles (SD - BENCHED) DEF: Philadelphia (Phi - BENCHED)

Answer:
Pick up Norwood. He's a solid backup to Turner, plus he gets return yards. He is consistantly above projections. Drop Mason to get Norwood. Start Roddy White in place of Mason and start Norwood. ATL is playing OAK in week 9. Should be a good game for those two players.

What is your take on these ongoing natural disasters?

A report by Munich Re found that some 295,000 people were killed and $130 billion were lost in 2010 as a result of catastrophic events. Australia: North-eastern Australia's worst flooding in decades is continuing to cause chaos across the region. Answer:
all it means is that statistically 2011 should be better. there are bad years and there are good years. my aunt in Florida hasn't seen a bad hurricane year since 2005.
