Question:
I'm located in the Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina area. I'm looking for a good place to get my car windows tinted. I'd like someplace reliable with a good reputation. Price isn't a huge issue, but obviously I would like to save some money if possible.

2006/2007 Honda Accord. How American/Japanese is it?
Question:
So, it's stated that my Honda Accord was built in Marysville, Ohio. How much of it was built in there? Is it 100% American? 75% 50% 25%? How of the car was imported? Just wondering. Me and my friends joke about how cars nowadays aren't specfically any one 'nationality' anymore. Kind like how the BMW X5 is built in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Mercedes-Benz M-Class is built in Alabama.

Answer:
It's the most 'American' car built (assembled) in North America today.

BMW test track in Spartanburg, SC?
Question:
I have been invited from a friend to go to South Carolina in order to drive some BMW's on the test track there. Does anyone know what cars I will be able to drive? Thanks for the help!

Answer:
It depends on if you are going on the factory track or the performance center track. The performance center has the entire BMW lineup available. It depends which program your friend is going to. If he is taking delivery of a new BMW, you will get to drive a car similar to his as well as a 335i. Depending on the day's schedule may also get to drive an X3 or X5 on the off-road course. If he is going to a special program you will get to drive whatever car is featured at the program. The Performance Center often has special programs for BMWs that haven't been released yet. If you are offered a chance to tour the factory, take it! The factory track usually has cars from the factory. That is the X5, X6 and all versions of the Z4. People outside of BMW rarely get to drive on the factory track.

South Carolina speeding ticket?
Question:
I was driving on I-85 North from GA through Spartanburg, SC. I was in a rental with FL plates with a GA liscense. The speed limit posted was 70 MPH and I was going at 75MPH according to my speedometer AND my GPS. I was driving in the left lane behind 4 other cars with SC plates. So I see a state trooper in my rear view mirror coming in really fast and obviously I shift to the right lane for what I assumed he was going to pull over the first car. Now he gets behind me and so I pull over. The trooper tells me I was speeding, takes my license and writes me a ticket without any explanation. He tells me I was going 85 MPH in a 70MPH zone. I deny the charge politely and tell him I was going at 75 and with the flow of traffic. He tells me to take it to court or to pay the $180 fine online if I did not want to drive to Spartanburg (Also he was really pushing towards me paying the ticket online). So I ask the trooper politely if I can see what he clocked me at and he says he was not allowed to for my safety as he can't allow me to get out of the car. So I ask him to bring the radar gun to me and he stuttered and said "actually I did not clock you on the radar" and starts walking away. I try to call him with a higher voice but he ignores me and gets back in his car. So I just started driving away. Now my question is will his bs argument hold up in court? Also can he be so rude and not acknowledge me even though my tax money pays his salary? I know cops have another was of clocking speed with the time distance test, but this road did not even have those white lines where they can measure the distance. The weather was clear and sunny so no mistakes on my part. Apparently this is a trend in state troopers to finish their quota as they know that pulling over people from other states will decrease their chance of showing up to court and fighting the ticket. Thats another thing, even if I was not guilty of going 15 over, everyone expects you to shutup and pay the fine. I understand that majority of the people who get speeding tickets get them fairly, but there are definitely instances where the cops are total douches and try to give out of state people a ticket so they will just shutup and pay without a fight. I don't buy that, its my right to be innocent until he proves me guilty otherwise. PS: Ive only received 1 speeding ticket in 12 years of driving, I know I stay within reasonable speeds and never drive recklessly

Answer:
It boils down to your word against his. If your GPS retains any type of information like date, time & speed, you "may" have a chance in court. I don't have gps, so I don't know if they have a memory. I drive twice a year from Pennsylvania to Florida and back. I've been doing this for about 12 years now. My advice to you is set your cruise control to the exact posted speed limit. Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina are all brutal for car stops. I was through Virginia the weekend before Memorial day weekend, and I tell you, it was like a hornets nest. I never in my twelve years of driving though that State, saw so many car stops by State Police. My cruise control was set, and I had no problem. I wish you luck my friend. Take my advice. Set your cruise control to the exact posted limit. You don't work all week to hand over your money to a local district justice.

Question:
On January 20th, 2007 I moved from the large city of San Diego, California to a small town of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Where I did not know anyone not even my own family that lived in Spartanburg. I had to start all over my friends, school, house, and life. On the morning of January 20th, 2007 I packed my suitcase and got ready to leave the city that I cherished and grew up in. To leave my family, friends, school, and life. Later that night around 8:30 pm I said my goodbyes to my family and friends. Saying goodbye to my family and friends that I would not see for a long time did not make me sad. Around Nine o’clock pm we packed the car and drove off to the airport. We arrived at the airport and checked in. while waiting for the plane to come went to McDonald’s and got some food. Then I went to the book store to get some magazines to read. The plane arrived at ten o’clock. While going aboard the plane and talking my seat I still was not sad about leaving. Then the plane took off that was a bittersweet moment, that’s where I started to turn sad. The fight took three hours, we finally arrived. We arrived at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport at around five o’clock in the morning. We got our luggage and saw my aunt and uncle that were picking us up. When I went outside the airport it was colder than I expected it would be. I was also very tired and cold. I and my mom and sister went with my aunt and my dad and brother went with my uncle. We took a short two hour drive at that time it seemed like I took forever to get to Spartanburg. While driving my impressions of North Carolina was that it was bare and there are too many trees, dark and uninteresting and the freeways were small and it was not busy. When we got to Spartanburg I thought where are we? There is nothing here; this city is very small and different from San Diego. There are a whole lot of trees and the houses look different cause of the ranch style homes, the streets were also smaller. The first place that I went to was my aunt’s house. My dad and brother was not behind us cause some how they got lost. I asleep on their sofa because I was not use to the three hour time differences. We stayed at their house for an hour. We later on went to my uncle’s house the place that I was going to stay before we got settled. My dad and brother finally came an hour later. Most of the people were not home because they all went to a funeral. The only people home was m y cousin that I did not know and their dog and us. The funeral was over and they invited some more family to come over and say hi. My first day I did not eat and a slept all day long. The first week I got closer to my new family. I started school a week later I went to L.E Gable Middle school. I was not use to the indoor halls. My first couple of weeks I did no make any friends. My first friend was Chelsea Casey. Moving to South Carolina was a good thing for me because I was skipping school and going out a lot. Moving here has also been good for my family; my parents have more free time now. It was very good for my brother to move here because he was on the road of kill himself by using drugs, he is doing well now. any suggestions for my memoir this is for school

Is 29.99% on Used car to high?
Question:
Ok. My sister is buying a car at used dealer ship in Spartanburg, SC called "Family Auto". It an 2000 cavalier LS with 109,000 miles on it. Plus she traded in a 94 buick regal with nothing wrong with it but cutting off when driving a 3 or 4 miles and that it. He gave her $500 for that and she had to put $500 down on payment. I can not calculate Apr too well. If anyone know the formula, please email or let me know for my future references? But, he told her it 2.99 % a month or something. Ain't that simple interest? They finance it with the dealership loan. She has no credit but her co-signer has credit score in 650 or more I believe. She only 18 years old her grandmother sign the loan with her. The car price is $6995 plus tax & title fees minus $1000 down on car for 7 years. Is that 29.99% Apr too much? I believe so. I told her if I was her I would go back to dealership and say "FORGET TAKE IT BACK"? And do South Carolina has a 30 days law on loan cancellation or somethings? Can used dealership do this? I don't know nothing much about the law. But, does this have anything to do with the "Usury Law"? Someone please help. I appreciate it! Please leave me a site or the formula to calculate APR (simple, compound etc...). I don't know the differences. She suppose to pay $140.00 every month. So, is her Apr 29.99% or what? She 18 years old. She should have thought. In school, I believe she didn't learn anything. I believe they are giving anyone diplomas now days. I told her i should have been with her! Period! But, she said, "NO". She wanted a car now. She got one now, now with a bad deal! She will learn for 7 years or maybe even longer.

Answer:
Your sister's lip m,ust be hurting from the hook in it by now. She got the maximum interest rate allowed in most states. Some states dont even have usery laws, and a financier can charge whatever hey want. She did just about everything wrong here. Hosed on the rate, and financed for SEVEN years? did she not stop to think that this car will be 18 yrs old when the last payment is made? Assuming it lasts that long. Bottom line though, there is no "do over" in car sales. She signed on the dotted line, she agreed to the terms This is the penalty for not thinking things through. Get some comfy sets, and a nice steering wheel. She's gonna be in this thing forever.
