Are there any places in the Charleston/Myrtle Beach Area to rent fun cars?
Question:
I'm getting married at the end of the month and I'm looking for a fun car to rent for the "get away car". I have searched all of the normal renters with no luck. The best I can get at these other places is Pontiac G6 or a Ford Fusion, and I'm looking for a Camaro or Mustang or something similar... Any help would be great! Thanks -Ben

Answer:
I suppose, you'll find them everywhere in Myrtle Beach. Be careful though, my moms boyfriend knew a guy who crashed, broke his neck, and killed him. But you'll be fine... he just wasn't careful. Congrads on getting married!

Need a rental car in Myrtle beach?
Question:
I am going to Myrtle beach for the 1st time next week. Is a rental car needed? I am staying on N. Oceans Blvd. near 26th ave. Are there plenty of places to walk to? I know of the Broadway Place. How is that Lymo Bus? Thanks much for any replies.

Answer:
I just moved here but have vacationed here for the past 10 yrs or so. I have rented a car every time. I can't imagine not renting a car down here. You will be glad you did once you get here and realize.... I have never used the Lymo.

Is a Rental Car Needed in Myrtle Beach? Is it a walkable city?Any Buses from Airport to town?
Question:
Hey thinking of a weekend trip and was wondering If a Rental Car Needed in Myrtle Beach? Is it a walkable city?Any Buses from Airport to town? We don't plan on going out much, but would it be easy to walk to restaurants/malls/beach?or is everything spread out?

Answer:
i would definitely get one. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: www.BookMe.com and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Where is a good place to rent a unique car in Myrtle Beach, SC for my wedding?
Question:
I am trying to compare prices of transportation so I would also like information on trolley's, classic cars, etc.

Answer:
Honey, don't try to get too much blood out of a stone. If you want "unique" you will have to pay for it. Even if you aren't looking for "unique" and will be happy with just a plain limousine, you'll pay for that too. That said, contact a classic car club. I bet there is one in Myrtle Beach. Perhaps a member or two would be willing to drive you in their classic 1913 Ford or maybe a '57 Chevy or perhaps a 1930's Model A convertible. At least you can ask. Contact the chamber of commerce for some contacts, since chambers of commerce often are the ones who organize and hold various community parades. But don't nickle and dime a private classic car owner. Pay them well and don't ask them if you can drive it.

Question:
I have never been to myrtle beach, and I dont mind taking cabs or buses but would it be cheaper to just get a rental car? I dont want to venture off the "boardwalk" much or leave the beach too often. What fun activities are there to do?

Answer:
Rent a car, its cheaper than cabs. Broadway at the Beach is fun, Ripley's aquariums is very cool ( the believe it or not museum is not). You might catch a Pelicans game (baseball), and the beach isn't so bad either.

What is the total toll from Bronx to Myrtle Beach in a car?

Answer:
Here is a list of all the tolls on I-95. http://www.i95exitguide.com/tolls/index.php There are no tolls in the Bronx getting to 95 or between 95 and Myrtle Beach. Also the Delaware Turnpike toll is easily avoided. Heading south, get off at Exit 1 in Delaware headed towards Newark. Take 896 North and then make a left onto Route 4 by the Embassy Suites. Then make a left on Route 2. Follow into Maryland and then get back on 95 south. Takes 5 extra minutes and saves you $4. Coming back get off at Exit 109 in Maryland and head towards Newark. Make the right onto Route 4 and a right onto Route 896 and then you're back to 95.

Is their a bus or trolley in myrtle beach?
Question:
We will be staying in north Myrtle Beach and would like to use bus or trolley to get around instead of 2 cars anyone familiar with bus or trolley system there.

Answer:
There is a bus system here in Horry County. I personally would never set foot on one, but I do understand your unwillingness to take two cars around the beach. Perhaps it would be best to rent a larger car, or call for a larger taxi (such services are available here). It's much easier to get to the things you'll want to visit on your vacation here if you have a car than if you rely on the bus system.
