Is there a way to get from Boston to the Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls, RI by bus or train?
Question:
My family wants to go visit my cousin at this facility, but since I'm going to be out of state for the weekend, the family car won't be available. Any one know how to get their via public transportation like the MBTA, buses, and AmTrak?

Answer:
You take the Commuter Rail from Boston to Providence, and then take the RIPTA bus from Providence to Central Falls

What are the white thick strings of webs that fly though the air and stick to fences, cars, trees, etc. This h
Question:
What are the white thick strings of webs that fly though the air and stick to fences, cars, trees, etc. This happens every fall in the California Central Valley (Patterson, CA). It starts every year during the first winds of fall before the first storm. I've been told that they are webs that have blown out of barns or trees and travel many miles. That makes no sense to me.

Answer:
It is the web of spiders. Spiders migrate this way. They wait until there is a good breeze, produce enough web until it gets picked up by the breeze and away they fly to new places.

What is the best way to southern California from the Central US in the summer?
Question:
Hello, what is the best way from the Central US (Iowa) to southern California? Should I go through Colorado/Utah/Nevada/California? Or should I go through Iowa/Kansas/New Mexico/Arizona/California? I realize there are more pros in going the Colorado route, because of Denver and Las Vegas. However, I just want to go the safest and easiest route to my destination. Here are two cons I can think of. Please correct me if I am wrong. Colorado route: I am told it is mountainous (steep cliffs, dangerous bends). I have never been to Colorado, but I have been through the mountains and didn't feel very comfortable. Is it really dangerous? Going the main route, could I really fall off a steep cliff? New Mexico route: I am told in the summer the temperatures reach upwards of 127 degrees. Even the best air conditioner can't keep a car cool and since I am driving with a pet, that wouldn't be suitable. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jessica added detail: I can't fly as I'm with a pet. :)

Answer:
The flattest route is I-35 Des Moines to Kansas City and The Kansas Turnpike to Wichita and I- 35 to to Oklahoma City . Take I-40 west from OKC thru Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff , Kingman and onto Barstow. This route does not get hot until you are 40 miles west of Flagstaff. The reason is simple : from OKC and west you're going uphill until you hit Flagstaff @ 7000' . After that it's all down hill. What you heard about NM only applies to the southern route through the state. Once you cross the Colorado River 40 Miles west of Kingman it's going to get really hot -as in 110+- and really empty- as in 120 miles to Barstow and nothing in between. It might be wise to grab a motel room in Kingman and sleep until around 3:00 am and then hit the road. You'll be in LA by 7:00 am Fill up in Kingman . The Route thru the Rockies and the Red lands is spectacular.Having said that to the un- initiated it can also be highly stress full. Having a semi on your tail while you're on a 5 mile ,6% downhill run through the twisties has a tendency to stress flat landers out. and if the weather turns bad it can get ugly.

I offer wash, wax, interior cleaning such as vacuum, armour all windows, small stain removal. I wanted to get a price for how much i should charge for basic, and advance packages and what is included in the package. For the interior if you're just vacuuming, windows and dressing surfaces then somewhere between $50.00 to $75.00 is good. More when you get into carpet cleaning either by hand or machine.

Can someone please read this?
Question:
Okay so I have to write this story for my English class and I was hoping I could have someone read what I have so I know if I should continue with it or come up with something else. Thanks to everyone who reads and to those who leave comments constructive or otherwise. Daytime was just far too predictable. Growing up in a small town with an even smaller population of 820 people – 821 including myself – made your day so slow paced you often end up staring at a wall wondering how you haven’t died from shear boredom yet. Today I was going to school and coming home for lunch. Other than that…nothing. I groggily pulled myself out of bed and walked over to my window. Peering out I could see that it was going to be a sunny day. A rarity here in Central Falls. I quickly pulled out a outfit from my closet and walked into the shower. With that done I went downstairs for breakfast. “Hey Kiddo!” My mom called from the living room. Though she preferred being called ‘mom’ I often times slipped. “Morning Carol.” My mom – rather step mom- and I had never been that close. The only thing we ever had in common was our love for my dad. But when he died he took with him any good feeling I might have had for his young wife. The only response I heard was a grunt, but I didn’t care. I walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a box of cereal. Carol walked into the room then. “Why don’t you ever eat anything else? I swear you go through ten boxes a month all on your own.” This is one of the reasons I disliked her. She liked to nit pick. “I like cereal.” I lied. I just didn’t like cooking and cereal saved me the effort. “We’re almost out.” I added. I could have gotten it myself but she didn’t exactly trust me with money. Not after I spent it all on a cute outfit. She forced me to return it the next day. But not before I managed to hide the matching shoes. “You know what?” Her voice sounded unusually cruel. She never acted upset with me unless I truly deserved it, so this brought me up short. My head snapped up to look at her. She just continued to stare at me- her eyes glaring with fierce intensity. Did she really want me to answer that? “I’m tired of this. I thought your attitude was due to your father’s passing. Now I can see it’s just the effect of teenage revolting. If you want cereal you’re going to buy it. And with your own money.” She added before I could request she give me any. “Fine.” With that I walked out the kitchen door leaving my uneaten food on the counter. I wasn’t hungry anyway. I walked past the two cars in the driveway. Mine and hers. I would have drove to school but in my haste to get out of the house I left my keys behind, and returning would be not only unnecessary but embarrassing. I looked down at my feet as I walked along humming to myself a song I had just heard the previous day on the radio. “Ugh!” Suddenly there was not a sidewalk in front of me but a boy. Okay so boy was an understatement. This guy looked like a god with his hard jaw, softly rounded lips, thick eyelashes lining the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. I couldn’t help but stare up at him while he glared back at me. Then it dawned on me. I had just crashed into this ‘Angel like Man’ and was rude enough to stare at him in awe. “I’m so sorry!” I finally managed, my cheeks coloring a vibrant red. His glare softened slightly. “Just watch where you’re walking. You never know who you’ll walk into.” With that he walked away while I stared dumbly after him. Wasn’t he going the wrong way? He looked about my age and if that were the case… the only high school around here was in the direction I was walking in. Had he been going in that direction he might have saved me the embarrassment of walking into him. Maybe he forgot something at home. I would like to mention that this has a whole other plot line than the Twilight Series. The "Boy" I mentioned is not a vampire. Nor are the other characters I'm adding so far.

Answer:
this is very good! but i kind of get a vibe that it is a little similar to twilight which i love! i think you need but put deffienet twist on it that carrys it away from the twilight plot. i really think you should continue it it is very good! also i would love to hear then ending!

Where to spend a night in the central region of New York state?
Question:
Hi! My boyfriend is taking me on a romantic holiday to the US this year. We're from London, England, and I've never visited the States before, so I'm very excited! After spending some time in Chicago and Michigan, we're travelling from Niagara Falls (Canadian side) to New York City via car. We'd like to stop somewhere in the middle of Niagara and NYC, where we can spend a day and night, preferably somewhere in the central region of New York state (so we're not diverting too much off our course to NYC). Can anyone recommend somewhere for us to stop? Any advice will be much appreciated :) We were thinking of Skaneateles - does anyone have any experience of this town?

Answer:
This section is for New York City, which is at the south eastern corner of New York State. The central part of the state is no where near the city. Sorry, you will have to find another category to ask this question.

21 year olds looking for things to do in Toronto?
Question:
A couple of friends and I are road tripping it to Toronto, Canada from Central NJ/NYC area. I've never been, only to Niagara Falls, so we have no idea what to do. We're all 21 (I know the drinking age is 19 there, I'm only saying our ages so you get a general idea of what group/demographic we belong in). We'll have a car so driving places that are outside of the city are acceptable too. Any suggestions?

Answer:
There aren't many things you can do in Toronto at 21 that you can't do at 19. However one thing you CAN do at 21 that you can't do at 19 is go to the Madison Avenue Pub at Spadina subway station. It's a 21+ bar (Thursday, Friday, Saturday after 11pm), and it's known throughout North America.

Is it normal for my car to do this?
Question:
I have a '98 Chevy Lumina and just in the past week or so I've been noticing that the temperature gauge rises and falls the whole time I'm driving. When it rises, it doesn't go into the "red" range; that is up to 260, which is the highest number on the gauge, but it does lean farther to the right (higher) than I thought would be normal. It'll do this for a few minutes and then go back down to the middle for a few minutes. It does this over and over. I know there's a cooling fan under the hood that keeps the car from overheating--is that what's going on? Also, last week when I drove over some big hills going to a friend's house (we live in mountainous central NH), I could smell burning oil. I haven't really smelled it since. Is it time to take the car in for a checkup, or is this normal? The car has over 235,000 miles on it. The "service engine soon" light has been on ever since we purchased it from another individual about 18 months ago. Suggestions? Thx.

Answer:
First of all, congrats on driving your chevy 200K+ miles! If it died tomorrow it led a very productive life... If your temp keeps going up it is most likely an issue with your cooling system/radiator. Get a transmission flush. Also, next time the car starts heating up turn your HEAT on and flip the fan switch to high. Make sure your windows are open. If you notice the temp guage coming back down then it's definitely a cooling issue. A car that old probably has all kinds of corrosion in the thermostat. The valve could be stuck. Are you sure that's burning oil and not your engine burning??? Change the oil with synthetic. If the check engine light is on you need to take it a dealer or mechanic who can read the on board diagnostic computer (ODB, not to be confused with old dirty bastard from the Wu tang clan).

Moving to CO this fall: no car? Is a commute logical?
Question:
I am moving to Colorado in September for school. My school is in Lakewood, but my roommate's school is in Boulder. I am considering living somewhere like Westminster, central between Denver and Boulder. Neither of us will have cars for a little while, is this a logical plan? Are the bus systems reliable enough to commute 20 minutes or so (regular driving) everyday to Lakewood and Boulder? Any knowledgeable input is greatly appreciated!!!

Answer:
I would recommend living in downtown Denver. This is the hub for most of the transportation routes. There is a frequent service to Boulder up to midnight. The bus will leave you right at the U of Colorado. Also, Denver has great social and night life for two young people. The LoDo district has experienced an explosion of new condos, restaurants and galleries. There are also a couple of excellent bike paths, making it easy to get around the city. Westminster is really just a suburb. You'll feel trapped there without a car. Also, the U of Colorado gives students' a bus pass as part of your student fees. So, the buses in the entire Denver metro area are 'free'. See www.rtd-denver.com for routes. Me: www.peterwaynephotography.com
