Does anyone know what the meaning of this poem is?
Question:
Hope is a tattered flag and a dream of time. Hope is a heartspun word, the rainbow, the shadblow in white The evening star inviolable over the coal mines, The shimmer of northern lights across a bitter winter night, The blue hills beyond the smoke of the steel works, The birds who go on singing to their mates in peace, war, peace, The ten-cent crocus bulb blooming in a used-car salesroom, The horseshoe over the door, the luckpiece in the pocket, The kiss and the comforting laugh and resolve— Hope is an echo, hope ties itself yonder, yonder. The spring grass showing itself where least expected, The rolling fluff of white clouds on a changeable sky, The broadcast of strings from Japan, bells from Moscow, Of the voice of the prime minister of Sweden carried Across the sea in behalf of a world family of nations And children singing chorals of the Christ child And Bach being broadcast from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania And tall skyscrapers practically empty of tenants And the hands of strong men groping for handholds And the Salvation Army singing God loves us…. I know it is about hope, but the title confuses me. if anyone can interpret it, then you rock. thanks Also, does the last 3 or 4 lines change tone? because "skyscrapers with no tenants" seem kind of depressing to me. thanks in advance

Answer:
It's that hope is different in the eyes of people that see it. My hope is not your hope, unless you're Miss America.... Also, the poem is meant to show the vastness of hope, or the amazing concept of hope in the world, by utilizing far away places like Japan, Sweden, and Moscow. And it does seem that the tone changes to more of a helpless kind of voice.

Has anyone moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania?
Question:
Im thinkin of relocating from nj to pa. I dont have a vehicle at the moment, Im in the process of getting one very soon and was intending to finance a car. I wanted to get an idea of what the process was for registering your car once moving to a new state. Will it be a problem for me to get my car registered in PA while financing from a dealer in NJ? Anyone who has ever been through this plz give all advice an opinions. O yea and Im not too sure when Ill be looking to move exactly it may be the end of this year it or even sooner possibly. What else should I look to do in order to prepare for this move? Im 21 and this will be my first time living independently. I work full time in a town close to NY(I work nights so if traffic during the morning is an issue I wont be commuting during those hours) will it be in any way possible to commute back and forth to my job so that I wont have to change jobs once i move? I heard Easton, Allentown, an Bethlehem were close to NJ so I was looking to move into one of these towns. Thanx in Advance!!!!!!!

Answer:
I lived near Phillipsburg, NJ (right across the river from Easton, PA) and worked in Woodbridge, NJ (near Staten Island) for 2 years. My advice is don't do it. You'll be wasting 3 hours a day in your car. And traffic WILL be an issue no matter what time of day you're commuting. So many trucks travel on I-78 and there are accidents at all hours, especially around the 78/287 interchange in both directions. Been there, done that. It's really not worth whatever amount of money you'll be saving. And the way the taxes are going up in that part of PA, it really won't be much of a savings. Plus the wear and tear on your vehicle will be an added expense. Think about what you could be doing with 3 extra hours a day... BTW, Allentown is way too far. It's like another 15-20 minutes inside of PA. You're young...don't waste away your 20's sitting in your car like I did. We moved from NJ to western PA last year and had a difficult time registering our leased car here. It wasn't impossible, just a real hassle - AAA had to get the title from the leasing company and switch it to PA. And what we saved on our car insurance going down, we ended up spending on a higher lease payment (something about a certain type of tax or something in PA.)
