Allentown pennsylvania to new york city what will traffic be like,?
Question:
I'm going to new york city from allentown pennsylvania and I'm going to park my car in newark new jersey and take a sub way to the city, how will transportation traffic be for driving and the subway? What is my best option for route?

Answer:
If you don't need your car in NYC, you might as well leave the car in Allentown and take the bus, avoiding 200 miles of wear on your car, gas, tolls, and parking. If you really want to drive, I agree that Hoboken is a better place to park and ride than Newark.

What is there to do in and around Allentown, Pennsylvania?
Question:
Any fun leisure activites to participate in. I do have a car but dont want to travel for more than 40 minutes to get to somewhere.

Answer:
Not much. There always is Dorney Park.

Can you ask to see footage from Allentown (Pennsylvania) police cameras?
Question:
I was hit by another car at an intersection where the Allentown police have a police camera mounted on top of the intersection light poles. The guy that hit me went through a red light, but he's trying to argue that I was the one who went through a red light. Therefore, I wanted to ask that the footage be reviewed. Also the police officer did not issue any citations.

Answer:
If you or your insurance company are attempting to file suit for damages, then you can absolutely request the video if you explain what it is needed for.

Trying to find a good dealership in eastern Pennsylvania...?
Question:
Does anyone know where I can find a good dealership that sells cheap cars in eastern Pennsylvania, possibly around the Allentown area? Cars that usually sell for around $1,000?

Answer:
You're better off finding a $1000 car from a private party. A legitimate dealer selling a car that cheap is selling you a liability... it wouldn't be worth it for them. You may want to try a local junk yard... They may sell you something that runs for like $100 - then at least you know what you're getting.

What is a good site to buy nice cars under a thousand dollars?
Question:
okay i am going to get my permit in the next week or so and my dad is going to buy me a car, but he said he isn't spending any more than a thousand dollars, i want a nice car, sooo anywhere that i can get a nice car for just a grand, and nothing rong with it, thank you oh and not far from Allentown, Pennsylvania

Answer:
if you're just looking for a nice junker to get you around, i'd look through craigslist and ebay first. occasionally you can get some great buys. just make sure that the place you need to drive to isn't too far away. (google/yahoo maps are good resources for gauging distance if you don't recognize a town's name) i helped my cousin find his car about 4 years ago for 800 bucks on craigslist for his first car, and he's still driving it around. Good luck!

Where can someone get a car that won't check credit?
Question:
My friend's car just died on her. She needs to find a car place that won't check credit and will accept some money upfront. She lives in Allentown Pennsylvania. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks. Right now they looking for a car under 1,500 dollars that is used.

Answer:
has she tried craigslist? You have to be careful that you're not getting a POS but in my opinion craigslist is a wonderful tool. Right now I'm watching craigslist for a car for my girlfriend, and I don't mind putting a little work into it too, so if her husband or someone she knows is willing to put a little work in you can get a pretty nice car from craigslist. Just don't believe anything the owner tells you over email. Make SURE you go with someone who knows about cars so they can listen to it start and check it for anything that will need to be fixed soon, so you're not stuck with a thousand other problems the owner didn't tell you about.

What is the Best Scenic Route from Pennsylvania to California?
Question:
My family is planning to have a road trip next summer and what better time to prepare for it than asking the question now right? Anyway, we plan to travel by Road from Pennsylvania (Allentown) to California (Los Angeles) and we are devoting 10 days for it. We plan to stay from the 11th to 12th day in Los Angeles then take Airplane going back to PA on day 13. My question, what is the best scenic route to take? We are looking for family attractions from state to state (museums, kiddie rides, scenic attractions, etc...).. Is the Route below a good one to take? or is there other/better way? and another question, would a nationwide Car Rental (e.g. Enterprise, Avis, Hertz, etc..) agree that we start renting a car in PA only to be returned to their CA counterpart? I don't really know that many great sites that well... 1. Day 1 travel to Chicago (Sears Towers, etc...) - 11 hours Drive 2. Day 3 travel to South Dakota (Mt Rushmore, etc..) - 14 hours Drive 3. Day 5 travel to Wyoming (Yellowstone, etc..) - 11 hours Drive 4. Day 7 travel to Nevada (Las Vegas, etc..) - 13 hours Drive 5. Day 9 travel to Northern California (Yosemite, etc..) - 9 hours Drive 6. Day 10 travel to Los Angeles - 5 hours Drive

Answer:
Honestly ? You need to start with clean sheet of paper The basics: Driving in daylight only and stopping to see very little for very long, a family will typically take 4-5 days to drive coast to coast and average aroiund 50 mph in the process The cheapest way to rent any car is on a round trip basis and at a local location rather than an airport locaton Rule :All cars get smaller as the trip gets longer : Rent the biggest vehicle that you can find that burns regular unleaded gas and gives you unlimited mileage >use either Hertz or Avis because they have the most locations nationwide One way -flights are more expensive than roundtrips >strange But true and flying out of smaller airports is always more expensive than flyiing out of bigger airports Since you want to see mt rushmore , your routing should look like this Just be aware of the fact that Bike WeeK in Sturgis SD will make lodging in the area damned near impossible to find on the spur of the moment Know that the point to point times given by mapquest et al are esssentially useless as are most of their directions Use paper maps/atlases ,and AAA guidebooks and Triptiks instead If I was driving this ....and I have ...My basic routing would be Allentown >Chicago >Ottawa IL Ottawa>North PlatteNE> Scottsbluff NE RapidCity SD>Devils Tower WY>West Yellowstone WY> Jackson WY>SLC >Wendover UT > South Lake Tahoe >Lee Vining CA>El Portal CA Montery CA >San Luis Obispo CA Bakersfield CA>Barstow CA >Flagstaff AZ GCN>Kayenta AZ>Mexican Hat UT >CortezCO>Telluride CO La Salle Junction UT >Moab UT >Georgetown CO Granby CO>Estes Park CO >DEN and fly out of Denver If you run the numbers you may find it cheaper to do a round trip from PHL or EWR or JFK to DEN or SLC and then rent a car on a return to, the renting location basis Get an $80.00 National Parks Pass and enjoy your trip Rapid City

Cost for Disney World Trip in Summer 2011?
Question:
My friends want to take a trip to Disney World next year as a way of celebrating our graduation from high school. But we're going to need to know how much the entire trip will cost each person for: Round-trip Airfare (from Allentown, Pennsylvania to Orlando, Florida), Hotel Cost, and tickets to the actual park (5 day Park Hopper is what we're thinking of purchasing). We'd be staying for five days, four nights, and will also need at least two rental cars because there are 9 or 10 of us. Also, if you can give suggestions on cheaper (but nice) hotels to stay at, where to eat, etcetra, we would be most grateful. ;-)

Answer:
well of course no one can give you an exact price cuz this is for NEXT SUMMER and disney world's ticket prices may go up (we'll find out in mid/late august for sure). and of course airfare changes every time you turn around. but i can give you a rough estimate. your best bet would be to stay on disney world property and use the disney's magical express bus to get from the airport to your hotel and back for FREE. and then use the transportation system disney world has on property to get to the parks which is also FREE. for most car rental places you have to be at least 25+ to rent and there are only a very small amount that will rent a car to someone 21+. no where that i know of will rent a car to anyone younger than 21. also be aware that at least ONE person in each room MUST be 18+ for disney world hotels. if there are 10 of you i would assume that to keep costs low you will stay in a value resort and you would rent 5 rooms and have 2 people stay in each room. ok here is an example of what i would recommend and the appoximate cost: -number of people in party: 10 -number of days: 5 nights/6 days (if you want 5 day park hopper tickets then you won't want 5 days/4 nights cuz you aren't really going to be able to go to the parks on your last day depending on when your flight is) -dates (just an example): july 25-30 -hotel: pop century (value resort) -park tickets: 5 day park hopper tickets (allows you to visit any or all four of the main theme parks on the same day for 5 days. it does not include the water parks) -dining plan: "plus dining" (1 quick service meal per person per night, 1 table service meal per person per night, 1 snack per person per night) with this dining plan i suggest bringing something from home for breakfast like cereal or pop tarts and then buying a resort refillable mug ($13.50) so you can have breakfast and a drink. you can also use the mug for just when ever you are thirsty at your resort. then use one of the meals for lunch, have a snack in the afternoon, and use the other meal for dinner. (for table service meals you can make reservations 180 days in advance and you will definitely want to do that) this package price is if you rented 5 rooms and had 2 people in each room ok so all together for 10 people that would cost: $8,705 so if you divide that equally by 10 each person would need to pitch in: $870.50 and now onto the airfare. you CAN add that to your disney world package but they partner with the expensive airlines so you best bet would be to go with somewhere like southwest or airtran. since we are talking about next summer the prices may be much different but lets just pretend you are going this summer. there is an example of around what you will probably be paying next year. -number of passengers: 10 -airline: airtran -dates: july 25th-30th -flight times: leaving allentown pa at 6:00am and arriving in orlando at 10:21am and then leaving orlando at 2:45pm and arriving in allentown at 5:14pm it would cost about $303.10 PER PERSON. so all together with the disney world package and the airfare each person would need to save up: $1,173.60 hope i have helped you and have not totally confused you lol. here is a link to the disney world website to check it out: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/

Help with recovery of $8K paid to Pennsylvania seller of stolen Delaware car with faked NJ title?
Question:
A young naive nephew of mine saw a "great deal" on Craigslist for a 2008 Scion, and went to Allentown PA to buy it with 8K cash from a man at a Allentown PA gas station. The man gave him a copy of title, and my nephew drove the car home to NJ where he attempted to title it a few days later. NJ DMV immediately impounded the car -- it was a Delaware car bought on a loan that was months behind in payments and was in the process of being reprocessed when it was reported stolen. The copy of the title was of a doctored NJ title. Any advice as to how any of the 8K can be recovered would be appreciated! Don't need any advice as to how stupid the deal was, it was incredibly stupid. Just need help in trying to help him get his money back.
