Crappy MPG? Question: This weekend i made two trips from Roseburg Oregon to Eugene Oregon. It's about 180 miles round trip each time. So thats around 360 miles, plus the driving i did in town. All together i went 450 miles. My car (1989 Ford Tunderbird) is supposed to get 27 on the freeway, but i have gotten 30 before. This weekend, it seemed to be sipping a bit more than it should. I went around 75mph the whole time. What could cause my Mpg to drop? It had a recent tune up and i keep everything up as well as i can. -The exhaust tip has a black ring around it, that wasnt there before this weekend. - When my front rotors get wet, they steam, but i cant feel them dragging, and the car seems to have the same amount of power. Thats about all i can think of... Answer: i own a repair shop,,and its possible they may have not gotten the plugs gaped right in it,,this is usually what causes this to happen when they run black like that around the exhaust,you might wan to have it checked out,they may have also used a cheaper plug i it also cheap plugs don't fire good,,id have it checked out,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas. |

Question: packing list: Tell me what I am missing or could use to bring...I'm doing a 24 hour drive all by myself, to Palm springs California from Roseburg Oregon all by myself. Going there for the summer. Tell me what is missing from my packing list. Toothbrush/ toothpaste. Hair brush. Nair Hair ties Ipod Laptop Camera All the cords for those Phone clothes makeup perfume shoes flip flops credit card + cash tampons undergarments duct tape- just in case I need it. swim suit sun block flat iron dresses advil mouth wash paper and pencil pillow & blanket face wash shampoo and conditioner car manual maps calling lists of towe trucks Answer: Based from your list I would just add : Socks Flashlights/ matches Few plastic bags Chips, Candies Chargers for your electronics If you dont like too much stop overs bring some soda or water with you. A lot of energy and smiles and you are good to go... |

How much does it cost for an 2 or 3 bedroom place? Question: I'm in Shippensburg,PA right now and i am actually from Roseburg,OR and we plan on moving back there as soon as my fiance and i get enough money, we were jw, what the price range is now in Oregon, i've heard from my sister and my parents that the minium wage is $7.95 now and a lot has went up, would you mind telling us what has went up? We are looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom place, we really don't care if its an apartment, or a house, but we do want something affordable, and something kinda nice to live in, we don't want to be in the gedo or something, lol. But we are 18 and plan on expecting a child. As soon as we get to oregon, were going to be at my parents house 'till we get a car from there, and have enough money to get a place. We are going to be driving a uhaul from here in PA to OR hopfully this summer. Answer: why in gods name would you want to raise a child up north.. and penn of all places.. my parents move up to michigan when i was 2 years old from the south.. when i was old enough to understand what they did i hated em for it.. give up all that nice warm weather and wonderfull year round fishing for cold ice and snow.. the cost of living up there is at least twice what it is in the south for one.. way too many liberal democrats with thier wacho tax the successfull and give to the lazy mindset and forget your new ford explorer lasting more then 4 years with all that salt on the roads.... and roads..? what a joke.. more like the aftermath of WW2 then a hwyway system |

Housing will be / is getting cheaper.... look at repo's and you may find something for the same monthly payment as rent... and you'll be having something of your own... As for everything else going up...that's everywhere.... and will continue going up and along as people are buying it.... or we end up in a depression, not just a repression..... I wouldn't think PA would have a cheaper cost of living than OR.... that seems strange.. and it looks like the min. wage is higher, of course that in it self can raise the cost of living...... If you have people in OR willing to help you two get started, then that will help alot more than you realize..... All I can say, is drive safe and start a new and happy life. |
