Oregon travel help!!?
Question:
I live in Portland Oregon and I need to find a way to redmond Oregon without taking a car or airplane. please help

Answer:
Well, since you don't want to take a car or airplane to Redmond, what about taking a train? Amtrak (intercity passenger train service in the United States) serves both the areas of Portland and Redmond. If you are interested in this idea, you can check its website for detailed schedule. Just choose the Amtrak station in Portland and date. The page will list the train schedule for you. http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak/ComplexRail

How do you entertain yourself during an eight hour car ride?
Question:
I'm going to Redmond, Oregon, eight hours, then to Cannon Beach a week later, about 5 hours, and then back home, 13 hours. How on freaking Earth do I keep myself entertained?! I'm 13, my iPod has been loaded up with the latest tunes, podcast, movies, etc. I have my cell phone all charged up and two new books to start, one to finish. What else?! Thanks so much!

Answer:
I used to take a pillow and blanket and listen to my ipod while i slept the entire way.

What do you think of this speech?
Question:
Graffiti When you see graffiti in a park, or on school walls, what do you think? Graffiti takes money, time, and damages property. We need to put this to an end. Imagine you walk out in the morning and see graffiti on your car. What is the first thing that pops into your head? Money, right? Of course, you have to pay to re-fix it. Graffiti costs people and the state money. KOHD news says that in Redmond, Oregon, graffiti will cost the city 1,500 dollars a day to clean. 15 hundred dollars a day just to clean someone Else's mess. Most of the vandals get away with it too. WADT news states the graffiti messages in Jackson, Wyoming will cost the city 9 thousand dollars to clean. Damage is also a main reason. The Adventure Journal states that vandalism damaged pictographs almost 1 thousand years old. Those types of things can't be replaced. Time is valuable, and graffiti is taking that away from us too. Graffiti in Redmond as mentioned in the first paragraph, cost the state tons of time as well as money. There happened to be a huge storm coming up, and workers had to work on cleaning the graffiti instead of preparing the streets for the storm. To sum it all up, vandalism wastes time, money, and damages property. I strongly recommend encouraging your kids not to paint graffiti, and this goes for teachers as well. Don't you hate it when you see graffiti on YOUR property? Wouldn't you like it if you didn't have to worry? Thanks, 10 points given out!

Answer:
it kinda irritates me b/c we dont need to spend our time trying to get rid of the graffiti. we need to spend MORE time & money trying to get ppl off of food stamps and ppl that are struggling to make ends meet! its a good speech though(:

Abercrombie is over-rated?
Question:
Ok so I think places like Abercrombie and Fitch, and hollister Co, are for sort of genaric brands. Well I think that people from Cali-or place with beaches should only be allowed to wear it. lol! I guess It just bothers me when ppl from redmond, oregon wear it. Like my best friend wears it and I just want to SLAP her!! Then to make it worst she has highlights with her blond hair. She acts like she has lived in cali all her life and she thinks she is all like super rich. (her mom owns a car dealership, wow she is special.) Anyway I guess to me those kinds of stores are NOT unique enough. Maybe its because everyone wears it. American E. is not that bad, they do have somethings that are ineresting, but its really those stores that get me. And what is weird is everyone that wears it acts like total brats, like OMGAHH I am so rich and hot because I can wear Abercrombie!! haha. So tell me what your thoughts on this is. Remember this is just my opinon so dont attack me. 0_o

Answer:
You my think it's stupid that people who don't live in the beaches of Cali wear it, I live in Cali, and by the beaches, and I still think it's annoying. It's just advertising. The people who work for the company has somewhat of a technique. They know that if everything is in black and white, with super loud music (sorta like Guess, but way uglier) people are going to go in. It obviously works, too. I have to say that I did shop there in 4th or 5th grade for a couple months, and realized about the child labor thing. I was an idiot paying $60 for a jacket :S. well, I got over it, and many people will too. It's like the 80's hair thing. It goes away within the next generation..hopefully. But if you think it's bad here, go to England! It's even worse there. My mom's family lives in London, so there are these dozons of Aberzombies and Hollister clones (even though Hollister is not sold in UK) walking amongst us, thinking my cousin, who works for Marc Jacobs and I are these stupid idiots who have no taste because we're not wearing Abercrombie. New York is a little crazy too, but not as bad as Cali. Good thing I'm moving there when I grow up. American Eagle is OK, I got an AE sweater from Marshalls for $15 and I love it. No giant logos too :]

Should there be a punishment for an unbalanced budget?
Question:
Like a foreclosure on the white house? We have a 13 trillion dollar debt...with no balanced budget in sight. •$100,000 for socially conscious puppet shows in Minnesota •$2 million to build a replica railroad tourist attraction in Carson City, Nevada •$462,000 to purchase 22 concrete toilets for use in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri •$3.1 million to transform a canal barge into a floating museum that will travel the Erie Canal in New York •$1.5 billion for a Carbon Capturing Contest •$3.4 million to create an underground turtle tunnel, or eco-passage, in Lake Jackson, Florida. •$1 million to study the health effects of environmentally friendly public housing on 300 people in Chicago. •$983,952 for street beautification in Ann Arbor, Mich., including decorative lighting, trees, benches and bike paths •$1 million for Portland, Ore., to replace 100 aging bike lockers and build a garage that would house 250 bicycles. •$700,000 to Oregon crab fishermen to help recover lost crab post. You would think for that much money they could just go buy new ones. •$300,000 for a GPS-equipped helicopter to hunt for radioactive rabbit droppings at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Washington state. •$5 million to create a geothermal energy system for the Oak Ridge City Center shopping mall in Oak Ridge, Tenn. From TheHill.com, The main problem, is the fact the mall has been losing tenants for years and is mostly empty.” •$9.38 million to renovate a century-old train depot in Lancaster County, Pa., that has not been used for three decades.•In rural Wisconsin, 37 little-used bridges are receiving $15.8 million in stimulus funds. According to the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel, “The 37 bridges average 568 vehicles a day.” Some of these bridges see less than ten cars a day. •Montana received $2.2 million to install skylights in their state-run liquor warehouse. •The $800,000 given to John Murtha Airport to repave a back runway. This airport services a whopping 20 passengers a day and has, over the past decade, already received millions in federal funds. Representative John Murtha treats this as his private airport and has spared no expense. •$1 million was given to a Chicago dinner cruise company to “combat terrorism” •The Coast Guard gets $572 million to create 1,235 new jobs. This comes to $460,000 per job. •$30 million for a spring training baseball complex for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies and $11 million for Microsoft to build a bridge connecting its two headquarter campuses in Redmond, Wash., which are separated by a highway. Instead of taking our money, why isn’t Bill Gates helping with a solution? •$1.15 million to install a guardrail for a persistently dry lake bed in Guymon, Okla. •$2.5 million in stimulus checks sent to the deceased •$6 million for a snow-making facility in Duluth, Minn. •Every project gets its own $300 road sign claiming: “This project was paid for by stimulus money.” Come on Frank...let the war go...right or wrong the world is a safer place now than it was before Saddam.

Answer:
we've had a national debt since 1820's. the only time we had a balanced budget, that i remember, is under clinton late in his presidency. furthermore, of all those states you mentioned - break it down to red/blue, or punish those who took money for pet projects.

What person in their right mind would Approve ANY of these things?
