2 Oregon speeding tickets on same day and I'm from Idaho. What should I do?
Question:
About 10 miles before Baker City on I-84, I was going down a long hill, passing a car, then noticed the cop. He pulled me over and said he was recording the conversation. I listened as he told me he got my speed at 85 miles/HR in a 65. He asked why I was going fast and I said, I didn't realize it and I was on the way to see a friend. He issued me my first ticket ever for $285 and told me to slow down because the roads were getting bad further down I-84. I basically just said ok. Around Pendleton, I was going down another long stretch of hill (my car has no cruise control). Next thing I know, a cop car is driving through the median, getting ready to pull me over. I slowed down, he truned on his lights, I pulled over. He asked why I was going so fast. I said, sorry I didn't realize it. I don't have cruise control and I'm from Idaho on a long trip to Portland. He wrote me a ticket. I was going 84 in a 65. I've never gotten a ticket in my life. I'm almost 23. I just need to know if it would be worth it to plead not guilty or pay the fine. Is there any way to make it so at least it doesn't hit my insurance so bad? PLEASE HELP! Yes, I realize what I have done. I'm only asking for help because I would like to save my insurance costs. If anyone is from Idaho country, and has driven on Oregon highways, I'd rather hear from you. Seems like the city people are stuck on rules and safety. I just need my best option... yes, I understand to slow down. Crap happens... so let's move on..

Answer:
pay the fine and slow down

Out of my 3 routes, which way is best to get to Las Vegas, NV.?
Question:
I am moving to Las Vegas, NV. Car packed up! No moving van used. Route A: Seattle to Medford, Or to Klamath Falls OR. to Alturas Ca to Reno, Nv to Las Vegas, NV. Route B. Seattle to Medford, Or to Susanville, Ca to Reno, Nv to Las Vegas, Nv. Route C. Seattle I 90 to yakima down to Oregon thru part of Pendleton Idaho, drop down to Jackpot, NV to Las Vegas, NV Which is the route with the least mtn range to cross over? With the least steepest mtn range to cross over on?

Answer:
I've heard that cutting through Idaho is the best. If you don't want mountains, you don't want to go the I-5 route. I went from PDX down to LA that way, through Medford to Redding, and the mountains are aweful. Most of the smaller roads around Mt. Shasta are all torn up. I was stuck waiting 20 minutes for the road to clear because of construction more than once. I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, there is no great way to get here from the north. it sucks.
