I live in Corvallis Oregon i am 18, who do i go to about getting a medical marijuana card?
Question:
I have asthma, daily back pains due to being ran over by a car, a screw in my ankle which causes me pain when walking long distances and i cracked my skull which causes me terrible headaches. Does anyone know of a good doctor in the willamette valley area that can help me? Thanks you dont have to smoke marijuana to get it benifits thats why it can help for asthma

Answer:
Well I don't live in Oregon so I don't know the specifics but I suppose it might be similar to the steps I've taken to get my medical marijuana recommendation here in California: 1. You need to Obtain medical records for the conditions for which you need the medical cannabis. So just call up your doctor, physician, surgeon, or whatever and request the medical records- this can take up to 30 days so be prepared to wait also make sure you get your medical records signed by the doctor. 2. Find a " Cannabis Friendly" Doctor that will give you a Medical Marijuana Recommendation here is a website for a Doctor in Portland that looks reputable. Hopefully it's not too far from where you live, Just call and they will tell you the cost and what you need to bring. http://thc-foundation.com/oregon/ be prepared to dish out at least $125-$200 for this appointment I paid $125 in Cali and that was a deal !! Hope this helped even though I don't live in Oregon

how is the area of corvallis Oregon?
Question:
I know that Oregon state university is there, but how is the area? do any of you know is I will need a car to commute to the school? my plan is to move there and work for about a year till I get the residency. maybe work at a restaurant..idk..tell me anything you know.:D so I do need a car to travel around? I have seen rooms for rent around the USO pretty cheap..like 500..maybe a bit more.

Answer:
Housing in Corvallis is extremely tight. This is a longstanding political decision to control and restrict development, so Corvallis has barely increased in population or dimension since the 1960s. However, student housing is in almost adequate supply, provided by many private individuals. However, most landlords require proof of student enrollment. You need only establish Oregon residency, so you could choose anywhere in the state.

Answer:
One of the nice things about Corvallis is how all the possibilities can be quickly run down. Here they all are: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=waxing+-floor& sll=44.578119,-123.263168&sspn=0.05435,0.132093&ie=UTF8&split=1&r q=1&ev=zi&radius=3.9&hq=waxing+-floor&hnear=&z=14

Any help planning the most inexpensive trip to Corvallis, OR possible?
Question:
My week of travel is March 17th through March 21st. I can leave as early as March 14th (maybe even 13th) and return as late as the 23rd. I'll be starting in Atlanta, Georgia. I figure I'll need plane tickets, a car to actually drive to Corvallis from Portland (although, if anyone has a better way to get to Corvallis, do tell), and a hotel room while I'm there (as near to Oregon State University as possible). I'm on a tight budget, so I basically need as cheap as I can find. One thing I've considered is renting a car only for the trip down and trip back (rent in Portland, return in Corvallis and vice-versa), but that hasn't shown to be much cheaper. I'm under 25, so there's often an extra rental fee. The cheapest I've found is... Plane Tickets: $450 Car: $300 Hotel: $200 (although, I don't know how to look for a weekly rate hotel online) Any tips on lowering any of these costs?

Answer:
I live in Portland. Goes to school in corvallis (OSU). My friend/roomate Aunt own a motel right by OSU Campus. If you're interested in knowing about anything else. You can email me ^__^ P.S. I don't know about the car rental deal. how long are you planning on staying in Portland-Corvallis trip? Maybe I can offer you rides down to Corvallis and or you can just take GrayHound down there. Ticket for GH are about $30-35 I think.

Looking for cheap places to stay on way down to San Francisco from Corvallis, OR (ie hostels, etc)?
Question:
Over spring break a friend and I are going to make our way down to San Fran to meet up with relatives. We will be leaving Corvallis, OR on late Friday morning (probably around 9:30-10ish) and need to meet up in san fran the following monday. From my research, however, OR doesn't seem to have many hostels T_T (im from the east coast). Any suggestions on cheap places to stay as we make our way down? Any places near the follwing destinations would be super cool: crater lake shasta caverns oregon caves coastal redwoods house of mystery Muir Woods National Monument Trees of Mystery (basically redwood forest) Six Flags in Vallejo, CA thanks =) oh PS, we don't have a car and are taking buses and trains everywhere so... we need to be able to get to these places with public transportation

Answer:
The places in Oregon are all on the coast Hwy 1 and cold and out of the way and you dont want to go that way. It will take hours longer. Either 101 or 5 is best. You could stop in Roseburg and go to the winery and watch the salmon go upstream at the hatchery. Oregon is known for its wine and blackberries. Muir Woods is actually on Hwy 1 in Marin county so you could cut off in Sonoma county over to Hwy 1 at Bodega Bay (setting for The Birds) and drive south to Stinson Beach and Muir Woods, then cut over back to Marin county and 101 in Mill Valley, you will be 20 minutes from S.F. There is a seaplane ride over the bay there.

Car rentals?
Question:
I live in Corvallis, Oregon, and I am 19 years old and do not have a credit card. I need to rent a car either tomorrow or on Sunday. I've gone to Enterprise.com and they said I'm too young to rent a car. And I've tried Hertz.com, and they need a credit card of the driver. I'm going to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to get my boyfriend. It's a 13 or so hour drive. I need to get him this weekend, and I need to rent a car. This is frustrating lol. I don't even know the point of this question, but maybe from what I've said, someone can help me somehow.

Answer:
Sorry but you need a credit card to rent a car.....end of story

The people who bought my car have skipped town but still owe a payment. How can I get the money they owe me?
Question:
The guy who bought my car has skipped town and hasn't made his second & final payment. How can I get the money he owes me? Mid August - I began negotiating a price on my Dodge Neon with a woman of about my age. Her name is Tayla. August 19th - Tayla and her friend or boyfriend Lance came over to do the paperwork and pick up the car. Both in the text message negotiations with Tayla and in the Bill Of Sale, Lance and I agreed that he could pay me $200 that day, which he did, as long as he mailed $800 to my parents by the 1st of October. Our Bill of Sale holds him entirely accountable for the payments; Tayla just did the negotiating and helped him with the paperwork. I made it clear to them that the money was to be sent to my parents, because I hadn't decided where I'd be living on October 1st, and because my parents sometimes handle my money for me when I'm moving around. Tayla and my roommate Sean were in the room while Lance and I finalized the Bill of Sale contract. October 1st - I called my mom. No payment yet. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed, for the time being, it was in the mail. October 8th - Still no payment. I began text messaging Tayla, asking her to either give me Lance's phone number, or have him call me so we could work out an extension if that would help them out. Tayla never responded to any of my messages. October 17th - I gave up on text messages and went to the address Lance listed on the Bill of Sale. The place was boarded up. The neighbors said they didn't know any of the residents there by name, but they "all got arrested for burglary and beating each other up." I went to the police, but they couldn't divulge any information about Lance or my car. October 18th - I went to the diner where Tayla was a hostess. I was greeted by a different hostess, and I asked her if Tayla was working that day. According to another waitress, she hadn't been there in at least a week, and Lance had been the one to return Tayla's aprons and pick up her check. Tayla had told her co-workers she and Lance were moving (from the Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon area) to Corvallis, Oregon, where they would live with her parents. Since then, I've tried all the resources at my disposal to either contact Lance, or to ask Tayla to have him contact me. I even called the diner this morning on the off-chance they'd be willing to give me her last name so I could at least look her parents up in a phone book (assuming they have the same last name) but, of course, there's employee confidentiality. Here's my biggest mistake: On the 19th of August, while we worked out the Bill of Sale contract and way before the $800 payment was due, Lance said he needed to drive the Neon immediately and in order to do that, he needed the title so he could register it. Seemed a legitimate request, so I signed it over to him. This is the last time I act on good faith for strangers. Can I take this issue to Small Claims Court if I don't know how to contact these people? If I can't, can anyone please recommend another way to reach or locate a person who has skipped town? Please, no violent suggestions; I just want the money Lance owes me for my Neon.

Answer:
You are pretty much screwed. The police aren't going to put out an APB on your car, as it was not stolen. You willingly signed the title over to "Lance", and gave him the keys. The fact that he didn't pay you like he agreed to makes it a civil matter, not a criminal one. Small claims court would be an option, if you had a way to locate "Lance" and have him served with papers. But if you cannot serve him with court papers, you have no case. Best thing to do is maybe hang out in Corvallis like the other person suggested, but the police won't help you. Like I said before, the car wasn't stolen. You gave it to him. You could hire a private investigator, but that will cost probably as much, if not more, than "Lance" owes you. Realistically, you are never going to see the car OR the money. And NEVER "act on good faith for strangers!" Consider it a (somewhat expensive) life lesson.
