Still, his chances are better than average joe off the streets. It is worth a try. Don't count on anyone creating a job opening just for him, but he might fit nicely if an opening happens.

I live in Tulsa and have been here for 24 years and I like it here. You will find friendly people here. The road construction isn't any worse than Dallas (been there recently) or any other town that is growing. I did some cross state truck driving for a year, and Tulsa is one of the cleanest cities I have seen. For a large city, I have found traffic not a big deal. I lived on the east coast and that's another story! Dallas is terrible, too. The problem is there are plenty of places with peace, quiet, and nature but you would need a car to live there. Bixby is nice and well within your budget. It is a suburb south of Tulsa. I live in another suburb, Broken Arrow and it is nice also with a low crime rate.
