Where are some good places to go in Bricktown, Oklahoma??
Question:
My mother and I going there for a Mustang car show. I was wondering what kind of cool places (parks, music stores, malls, historical sites, museums, etc.) there are to go to [for a tween and a parent(s).]

Answer:
Bricktown has become a tourist attraction that provides residents and visitors to Oklahoma City with an outstanding place to: ~~ Dine http://www.bricktownokc.com/restaurants.shtml ~~ Enjoy exciting AAA baseball (at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark) ~~ Stroll along the Bricktown canal where you can view the Bricktown Mosaic Murals (these are beautiful). http://www.bricktownokc.com/attractions2.shtml ~~ Or to just enjoy people-watching! ~~ For younger people check out the the Dungeon Haunted Ride in 3D". It's new to Bricktown, a family amusement attraction like no other and built to compliment the atmosphere of the Bricktown entertainment district. http://www.bricktownokc.com/dungeon_06.html ~~ Bricktown has a lot to see and do; many fine eateries and nightclubs, attractions, events, shopping, gardens and so on. You should enjoy your trip there. Please do have a look at this site for further information, maps and addresses of attractions, accommodation, restaurants and transportation: http://www.bricktownokc.com/index.shtml EDIT: It looks very much like I have given the previous two answers a thumbs down. Please know (both of you) I did not.

What is the best way to convert my mustang to a 'green car'?
Question:
It's gasoline, right now and I've been wanting to convert it to a more greener car. What method would be best? Electric? I've looked at electric conversion kits, which seems best for me as I could more easily raise money for that then a whole new car. But I don't have the know how to put the kit in my car, and I don't know of anyone else around here that would know either. I live in Oklahoma, is there a place nearby that could do this for me, and if so, how much would cost?

Answer:
Maybe 9 grand if you do it yourself (but you might be able to get a $4000 credit back). Don't know who does them for you. I would start with the Electric Auto Association http://www.eaaev.org/ and see if there are any local clubs as well. There is a ton of stuff online, like this rabbit conversion kit: http://www.electroauto.com/catalog/kits.shtml#voltsrabbit and a lot of people are converting their own vehicles these days since they can get back and forth to work and recharge overnight, and they usually have a second gas car for longer trips anyway. You can scan ebay for current electrics but they are not cheap (40 grand for a rav4?!?) and the batteries will have been used: http://motors.listings.ebay.com/_Cars-Trucks_Electric_W0QQ a10239ZQ2d24QQa10244ZQ2d24QQa39ZQ2d24QQa39705Z39826QQalistZa39Q2c a41Q2ca38v1yQ2ca38v2yQ2ca10239Q2ca3801Q2ca85Q2ca10246Q2ca33512Q2c a10241Q2ca10244Q2ca39705QQcurcatZtrueQQfromZr4QQgcsZ13QQpfZShowQ2 0ItemsQQpfidZ2473QQsacatZ6001QQsatitleZQQsocmdZListingItemList Let me know if you kick (or reduce) the gas habit.

How to change blinker on Ford Mustang?
Question:
2001 Ford Mustang. How do I change the blinker? It is the blinker on the back of the car. (left side). I pulled a part some of the lining and there is some red button, and a few screws. Or if you know where i can take it to get it replaced for cheap.... I live in Oklahoma City. I have already purchased the bulb.

Answer:
there are 3 11mm nuts holding the tail light assembly in place. remove the nuts and the assembly slides out. then just replace the bulb. takes about 10 minutes.

Should I trade my Mustang?
Question:
I own a 1996 Mustang GT with 200k miles, it currently needs a new clutch kit, wheel bearings, valve seals, rack and pinion. It's my daily driver and it drives great however with my new job I am now facing rush hour traffic and using a clutch gets very tiresome. I also go on long trips from my house in Arlington, Tx to Austin, Tx or Oklahoma City, Ok. The Mustang is comfy for a short time but becomes uncomfortable within a matter of time. Tomorrow I'm meeting a lady that is wanting to trade her 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Coupe for my car. Her car has 172k miles and a newly rebuilt motor with only 30k miles on it. Everything works on the car and the exterior is in great shape. Has the Bose sound package, HUD, black leather seats, heated seats ect. My Mustang however only has cloth seats, and a partial power driver seat, meaning it only goes in 4 directions. Should I trade my car for her GTP? I heard those 3800 II SC motors are bulletproof and they are pretty reliable cars.

Answer:
YOU STUPID LADY! Who doesnt hold their kid in a parking lot? It's unfortunate that this happened to your son,but you should have been holding his hand. You cannot control how other drivers drive, but you can control other things---like picking the kid up when walking in parking lot, avoiding walking between cars so drivers can see you. Either way, get an attorney and see if they can help you

How can I prove my engine failure is due to water?
Question:
Well a few days ago I made the mistake of driving into too much water during a recent flood we had here in Oklahoma. My car stalled but after 3 attempts at starting I got it to start. Once it started again there was a pretty loud rattling or clicking noise coming from the engine. The car acted extremely weird and barely wanted to go. I got it the 40 yards I needed to in order to get my car in my driveway. I let everything dry out and the noise was still there. I popped the hood and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. So I got my car towed to a mechanic that my grandpa has used several times before. The mechanic said that there was metal in the crankcase. We asked to make sure it was caused by water because if it was, insurance would cover the cost for the new engine after we paid the deductible. The mechanic said he didn't see any water in it. Well my reaction is of course there isn't any water in it, it dried out after sitting in the sun for 3 days. And I know for a fact the problem was caused by water because the problem occurred immediately after I got the car in the water. Additionally, I got an oil change the night before and the people that did the oil change didn't notice anything wrong with it. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to car repairs but I was told that if there was metal in the crankcase prior to the water incident the people that did the oil would've noticed the problem. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this? I really need insurance to cover this since I don't have the money to pay for a 4.6L V8 for my Mustang.

Answer:
If water had gotten into the crankcase it would likely still be there when everything else dries out. While driving into the water likely had something to do with the engine failing it may have just been the straw that broke the camels back. Proving that it was the water when there are no signs that damage was caused by water will be difficult. Talk to your insurance company and see what their stance is on this. Hiring a mechanic to carefully inspect the damage and hopefully identify a cause may help, as would hiring an attorney to help plead your case. But both are going to cost you money that you could be putting toward a new engine.

my car isn't accelerating?
Question:
i have an 02 v6 mustang. i recently drove from houston to oklahoma with it. i had it checked, the oil changed, tires rotated, everything...before i left. i didn't notice anything on the drive here, but now if i have the car running for any amount of time and then drive it doesn't seem to accelerate more past twenty for about five minutes. also when i was in a turning lane and then went to turn, it didn't accelerate quickly either. what could be wrong with it? there's 87, 700 on the car and the most work it's ever needed is a new alternator last year

Answer:
It sounds like your cars computer is putting the engine into "derate" mode. This happens when the computer receives a signal from a sensor that it concludes could cause damage to your engine if the car is driven normally. It should be giving you a "check engine" light or something similar (I don't know what Ford's light says) that will let a mechanic know what sensor is sending the signal. Good Luck!
