Should I drive my car in Oklahoma?
Question:
I grew up in Oklahoma and know that they have really bad roads. I currently live in Miami. I have a Ferrari and since the have really good roads there it's not an issue. I'm driving from south beach to my parents home in Tulsa. But I'm afraid that when I hit the potholes since my car is so lightweight it may flip. Do you think it's safe to drive my car or should I rent one for the trip?

Answer:
So, your daddy bought you a pink Ferrari, already?

I saw this ad for a 15k miles, 2010 Audi A5 for only $23k in Oklahoma on cars.com, so I emailed the seller I was interested. The phone number listed does not work, and ad page provides no VIN and only one picture of the front. Here is her reply email: Hi , I saw from your e-mail that you are interested in the 2010 Audi A5 I have for sale. The car is in perfect working condition and needs nothing. The reason for selling is that my husband died 3 months ago and I along with my daughter we decided to sell the house and move to my sister in Miami, FL and the car is here with me . The final price is $ 23,000 with shipping costs and insurance included. If you are interested in buying the car let me know. I will appreciate an answer as soon as possible . Best Regards! Gloria

How can I appeal the insurance companies decission not to pay for needed surgery.?
Question:
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! Hello, My name is Jeannie Palmer and I’m from Miami Oklahoma. I’m sending this because I’m desperate and need some help. My husband was diagnosed with tongue cancer on January 9th. He had to have a feeding tube inserted on January 16th and is scheduled to have his tongue removed on January 25th. My husband has worked for the city of Miami the past nine years and has rarely been sick therefore he has not used his health insurance coverage much. We were told by his insurance company that we have to pay the first $11,600 dollars before they will pay any part of the hospital bill. I am beside myself and don’t know where to turn or what to do. I tried to appeal the insurances decision but to no avail we are still being told the same thing. The physician that is treating my husband has tried to find someone that is “In network” that can do his surgery but there is no one. The in network physicians want to treat my husband with radiation first. My husband’s cancer is already in his lymph nodes and time is crucial. I want to do everything possible to help my husband beat this. I would gladly pay the $11,000 dollars to save my husband’s life but I don’t have it. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last January which caused a strain on our finances. We had our car reposed and are on the verge of loosing our home. I have an eleven year old son that has already lost his father to cancer and I don’t want him to have to experience it with his step dad. Please if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to get the insurance to work with us please let me know. Thank you very much and God Bless you. Sincerely, Jeannie Palmer

Answer:
There should be an insurance commissioner in your state to see if what they are doing is legal. That is one way of handling this. Another is seeing if he can get Medicaid to cover the rest of the bill. It is so obvious we have a two tiered medical system in this country when people cannot get their medical needs met. Talk to a medical social worker near you, like in a county hospital. They may have other ideas of what is available in your area. I'm sorry for what you are going through and wish you luck.

maimi of san francisco?
Question:
myself and 3 other guys are planning a trip to america. we are irish and flyin into boston, spending time there and then onto nwe york dallas where we will rent a car and travel to oklahoma, amarillo, grand canyon, vegas and los angelese. we are goin to alos stop off at either san franciso or miami. which would you recomend for nightlife, tourist stuff etc.

Answer:
Depends on what you want. Miami has great beaches and nightlife, but there's not a lot to see or do there other than the beaches, bars, and clubs. It is close to some other interesting places like the Everglades and Key West. San Francisco is a prettier city and has more in the way of neighborhoods, restaurants, and cultural sights, but its nightlife is more limited than in Miami or New York or Vegas. I don't know why you are going to Oklahoma or Amarillo or even Dallas for that matter, and you might want to drop some of them and then visit both San Francisco and Miami.

Answer:
Doubt the lions are gonna get a 1st round running back with kevin smith working out for them. Because they have a horrid defense. Other than that most of these are pretty good. But one other thing. The raiders getting a OT. This could happen bout i doubt Al Davis will grow a brain. that would be the smart thing to do. But overall your mock draft is alot better than most.

Answer:
2 things about your draft i dont like. 1 no heyward-bay. he is a ick talent and i dont think he is gonna fall into the second round once he blows scouts away at the combine. and 2 i dont think malcom jenkins will fall that far he is a solid top 10 pick. i am a baltimore ravens fan and i think they will get heyward-bay at any cost. he is a home town kid and with his size and speed the ravens would love to have a guy like that. percy harvin i think will fall to the 2nd round.

Need roadtrip advice for trip around USA!!!?
Question:
I'm from England and this summer i want to do a road trip around the states and possibly make a trip down into Mexico/Caribbean while i'm there. But i need some advice. There will be 4 of us doing it and the route that we have penciled in is going from New York down the east coast and then across the south, i.e. New York, Philly, Washington, Greensboro, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, oklahoma city, albuquerque, pheonix, grand canion, vegas, los angeles. Set aside a month to 6 weeks to get it done and looking to go mid august till end of september. But the advice i need is on several key areas, accomodation? We want to stay somewhere dirt cheap like a hostel but not somewhere we could get mugged/car nicked etc so if you live in any of those cities could you give us places to avoid. Secondly car hire seems rediculously expensive, we are all 21/22 so are getting max charge. I have heard that when this is the case usually buying a used car is the cheaper route. Any advice on doing so, obviously we want to get everything as sorted as possible so we dont get any suprises when we go and buy. Would it be possible to sell the car after the roadtrip to get some of the money back, it would have a few thousand miles extra on the millage but that would most likely be it. Any other general tips, like cities that i listed to avoid, or distances between cities that people think are too big to do in one trip? We will have 4 drivers so will split each drive up.

Answer:
I pretty much disagree with everything that you wrote. Unless you have friends or family in these places ==>> Greensboro, , Orlando, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, oklahoma city, albuquerque, Phoenix,==>. there is very little reason to visit them at any time and especially in summer. If you re-do this routing you can find yourself spending time in much more awesome places than the ones that you mentioned As far as vehicles go>drop off fees on one way rentals will kill you and buying ,registering and reselling a vehicle is impractical and possibly impossible. Your best option would be to return your full sized rental car that has unlimited mileage and burns 85-87 octane gas to the place that you rented it so you wind up doing a loop drive of America If you can get a mini -van with unlimited mileage then that's your best vehicle choice for this trip This also allows you to do your flight as a round trip So the name of the game will be to find the best combination of airfares and car rentals from one of these US airports BOS>EWR>JFK>PHL>BWI>IAD>ATL Just so you know :you can realistically drive from San Francisco to NYC in 3 days while spend two nights in motels
