Where's someplace cheap to go from OKlahoma? Question: My husband is coming home in june for his leave (he's in the army, stationed in Iraq) he only gets 15 days home and i want to do something for some of the time home. We have 2 kids and im pregnant right now, so the cheaper the better. I just want to be able to do something rather then just sit home the entire time he's home.. I dont mind driving somewhere as we live in McAlester, OK and theres nothing exciting here to do. My car gets excellent gas milage. We could afford to spend up to about $700 or $800 at the very most and I dont really want to spend that much if at all possible, but I know gas prices are just going up... SO PLEASE HELP!! Answer: I'd think about going to OKC for a couple of days. Lots of reasonably priced motels there. With kids I would say go to Frontier City, the zoo, the Omniplex (and omidome theatre), and maybe dinner in bricktown. |
