Toyota Camry bogs down when you press on gas. Any suggestions?
Question:
I replaced the timing belt in my 94 Camry. Now the car will start and idle in the driveway, but you can't drive it anywhere. You press on the gas and it bogs down and mostly stalls. It is real hard to get re-started. I need some help please. Anyone able to help me or direct me to a good mechanic in and around Stow Ohio?

Answer:
Is it idling normally? Do you hear any unusual hissing noises? Double check that you have all the wires and hoses hooked up where they're supposed to go. Sounds like you have some sort of vacuum/sensor prob.

Traveling with a newborn and Toddler, car seats?
Question:
Next month we're going to go visit my husband's family. We've got one way tickets out to Ohio, which means a 40min flight, 3 hour wait, then 4 hour flight to get there. Then his mom has got a van for us and we'll be driving it home. My kids are 2 1/2 and 2 months right now, so he'll be 3 months when we go. We bought 3 tickets, so that my daughter will be able to ride in her car seat, and he'll be riding in his Ergo on whichever of us it works best to hold him. This means on the long flight we can all sit next to one another in a 3 seat row rather than spilling over into another row. I've just read though that car seats sometimes get 'lost' or 'damaged' on route. My daughter will be riding in hers of course, so that's fine, but my son's will be stowed. I'm worried about it becoming damaged, it would be a problem to have to replace it once we got there. What's the best way to avoid it becoming damaged? Should I check it at the gate and ask them to please be careful with it? It's an infant carrier with base, and I can't find any sort of 'bag' to hold it. Also trying to haul it through the airport to the gate, then getting it and repeating at the other gate could be an issue. I've even considered getting him a cheaper car seat when we get there and leaving his nice one at home. We can't borrow one. Like I said, we're driving home. 3 day drive... maybe even 4. If we were flying home then it would be an option, though I don't think anyone there would have one we could use (there aren't many babies in the family...) We actually do have one of those bags, but really they're meant to fit convertible car seats, not infant-bucket-type seats. Looking at UPS, I don't think that would work. It would cost $200+ to ship it next day, and we need it the day we arrive (since we'll be driving once we arrive...) so that's just not feasible. I know the number of seats in the airplanes because they let you pick your seats with the tickets. The 40 minute has 2 seats aisle then 2 seats, the 4 hour (4:20 I think it said) is 3 seats across. Okay, I found some rental places, but I think they want you to return it to the place you get it, plus the rates are about $42-44 a week, bringing it up to $88 for the 2 weeks we'd be renting it... cheaper to buy a new one rather than rent, though it won't be as nice as the one we have. That's another concern. If I get the cheap one at Wal-mart they don't have much padding and don't feel that comfortable to me. We're talking a 3-4 day car ride home... the last thing I need is the 3 month old uncomfortable for that.

Answer:
We've flown twice with our son using his car seat. Once at 3 months and once at 13 months. With the first flight we did gate check his seat(were using it with the stroller) so it was pretty easy to do. Second time around we checked his convertible seat and picked it up at the baggage claim. No damages were done to it whatsoever. It had some scuff marks on the plastic but that was it. Don't know if you've seen these but BRU has some traveling bags for car seats(not sure if they'd work for yours but worth looking into): http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=car%20seat%20 bag&origkw=car%20seat%20bag&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2255957&sr=1 Do you visit your husband's side of the family frequently? If so I'd be apt to say purchase a cheaper seat and leave yours at home. If you don't then that may not be worth the investment.
