Is it illegal to sleep outside if I am homeless in Middletown, Ohio?
Question:
Background Information I moved to Middletown for a fresh start because I didn't feel as though I was doing anything meaningful with my life in my and I was going through a rough time financially and emotionally. I enrolled in the Miami University Middletown campus and school is the only positive thing I have going for me. When I first moved to Middletown I was employed in a nearby city, but shortly after moving to Middletown my car broke down and I was no longer has transportation to work (there's no form of public transportation between the city I worked in and Middletown.) The first day I came to Middletown I found a homeless shelter that I planned on living in until I became self sufficient but my car had broke down in near my job and I was stranded and it took me a few days to walk back to the city in which the shelter is located. When I got ack to the shelter they told me that I could no longer stay there because I was gone for two days, even after giving them my explanation they refused to allow me stay in the shelter since there are no other shelters I meet the criteria for I've been sleeping outside since then. I aged out of foster so I have no family or anyone that can help me out. I cant get a job right now because I have no phone to e contacted on after filling out an application. I'm not a lazy person nor do I feel entitled to anything that I have not worked for so Im not homeless due to laziness. I expect to recieve my financial aid refund within the next two weeks so even though my situation sucks im not pessimistic because I know it's only a matter of time before thing improve. Since I've been living in Middletown several strangers who have seen me sleeping outside have offered me a place to sleep and although I appreciate the offers I decline because I'm worried that something may happen to me and if something were to happen to me no one would even realize that I'm missing. Last night two police officers approached me at the bus stop where I've been sleeping for the past three weeks and told me that I couldnt sleep there and that they have been getting repors about a teenager sleeping on the bench (I'm 21 but I'm often mistaken as a teenager) they told me that i wasnt allowed to sleep outside and that I had to find somewhere to go even after I told them I had nowhere to go and no friends or relatives to hel me out. Is it really illegal or against local ordinances for me to sleep outside if I have nowhere else to go?

What to do when caught for over speeding?
Question:
I received ticket in OHIO (Middletown County) for driving my car at 74 mph in 55 mph limit zone and I was penalized for suddenly stopping car ($125). Here is scenario- 1. I was caught while entering zone 65 mph zone from 55mph. 2. Officer claimed that he tagged me before half a mile (in 55 mph zone). 3. The way cop stopped me was surprising. I was driving car and suddenly one cop appeared on the left side of highway, shouting loudly and waving his hand. I was not chased and caught. Cop was not even in his car. I thought it may be some kind of emergency or something because cop was without his car. When I stopped car, he went back to his car and came back with ticket for sudden stop as well. Is it legitimate way at all? I am driving from 6 yrs. and this is 1st time I received a ticket. Plz advise.

Answer:
Firstly you were caught of over speeding which is not allowed, is considered to be against the law. Secondly you entered zone 65mph from 55mph which is also not as per law, that's why the cop issued you a traffic ticket. Its good to remove your traffic ticket by enrolling yourself in an online course. Ohio Defensive Driving is a Court approved online defensive driving course and costs only $40, the course units are small, award winning course material with money back guarantee. Finish the course as per your convenience. http://www.continueded.com/ohio-defensive-driving .html

What do you think Catholic church in middle of immigration reform issue?
Question:
HAMILTON — Nowhere was it more apparent than at St. Julie Billiart Parish Saturday, June 19, how much the Catholic church has placed itself in the center of the immigration debate. Inside the church’s bingo hall, hundreds of Mexicans lined up for passports or Mexican IDs at the Mobile Mexican Consulate’s Office. In front of the cathedral on Dayton Street, dozens of activists marched along the street with picket signs, some reading “Immigrants welcome. Illegals go home.” The Rev. Manuel Viera said the church for years has agreed to host the consular office “as a way to serve the community here, very much in line with the teaching of the Catholic church.” “We have a higher authority to attend to,” he said, surrounded by the organized hum of more than 100 people asking questions and filling out forms in Spanish. One of the main functions of the consular office is to issue consular IDs — issued by Mexico without concern for immigration status — that Mexican residents can use to open bank accounts or access hospital services in the U.S. “So at least they’ll now have some official government document to identify them,” Viera said. “The alternative is they’ll buy IDs from people who sell fake IDs.” In an open letter sent out last week, Most Reverend Dennis M. Schnurr, archbishop of Cincinnati, outlined the Catholic church’s controversial view on the issue. The Wednesday, June 16, letter states the church must respect national borders and laws, but “the Catholic Church also teaches that all human beings have a right to migrate.” The letter is critical of the current immigration system, saying there are too few paths to legal citizenship and those who are here illegally are left “living in fear, hiding in the shadows.” ‘Thou shalt not lie’ “I’m very much opposed to the Catholic church’s opinion on power politics and greed,” said Joe Macke, standing on Dayton Street with a sign that read “Viva Arizona SB 1070,” and waving at honking cars as they passed. The new Arizona law requires local law enforcement to ask people stopped in the course of enforcing other laws about their immigration status if there’s reason to believe they’re in the country illegally. Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones and state Rep. Courtney Combs, R-Hamilton, are working to pass a similar law in Ohio. “Any country that doesn’t protect its border will soon be no country at all,” said Macke, who called the consular IDs “an absolute farce ... because it’s not recognized as a legal document in this country.” The cards, called a Matricula Consular, are issued without any check of someone’s immigration status. They can be used to open a bank account and access other services. They are not a work permit, and are not recognized by the U.S. government for Social Security, welfare or other social programs. Macke is a member of the Southwest Ohio Patriots, which organized the protest. He said he has seen Americans lose jobs to illegal immigrants, and wants the problem fixed before his 14 grandchildren grow up. Down the street, in front of the church’s towering steeple, Hamilton resident and fellow protester Bobby Knight called it hypocrisy for the church to teach “thou shalt not lie, yet you’re supporting people who came here illegally.” “That’s theft by deception,” he said. “You’re taking jobs from somebody else.” More@ http://www.middletownjournal.com/news/middletown-news/catholic-ch urch-in-middle-of-immigration-reform-issue-772547.html
