I am looking to find a police report from 1964 in Ohio?
Question:
I would like to find a police record from a car crash that occured in 1964 in Lorain, OH. The police said they dont keep them for that long. Is there any info and/or reports that i can find relating to this crash, Thank you for any help.

Answer:
I think it would be unlikely to find much of a record of that anywhere. Did you check to see if the department keeps their blotter from that long ago. Even if that still exists it would only have the most basic information. If someone was cited there may still be something in the court record. The record would be archived and would take some time to recover. It would also only show that a person was cited and would not have much information on the crash. I agree with the other answerer that a newspaper microfiche at the library might be worth a check. If it was a serious crash there might be a decent article, if not it may at least be in the police reports section. What has happened that you are now looking for this piece of ancient history?

Can anyone recommend a place to get a remote starter installed in a Honda Pilot, in the Cleveland, Ohio area?
Question:
Looking for a place to get a remote starter installed in my 2005 Honda Pilot. I was told they are hard to install things on correctly and not to take the car to Best Buy. Any ideas? I'm looking around the westside suburbs of Cleveland and even lorain County is fine.

Answer:
Good question. I am a former employee of 'Equalizer' and 'Prostyle' which was at one point the hottest mobile audio and video place on the east side of cleveland. To answer your question no it is not hard and the guys at Best Buy are M.E.C.P (mobile electronic certification program) which is not easy to obtain. Their tech should have it on display inside the garage. Another good place that I HIGHLY recommend is Roman Chariott. Jerry Roman has been in business for over 40 years and is a very skilled shop. I never worked for him but we have been in car shows together. F.Y.I...dont get caught up in the hype of Viper alarms or Side winders,Pythons there all made by the same company D.E.I and they all come with life time warranties as long as they were installed by a certified dealer. Good Luck you can email me if you need further assistance. F.Y.I... DONT GO TO LEWIS ELECTRONICS THEM GUYS ARE HACKS

Answer:
go for the dental/the way the car business is going its not going to get easier just more money to get involved/35 years ago you needed some tools and basic equipment/now its getting hi-tech/streaming computers/trained technicians/all this expense for start up in an area of declining income and rising prices/in ten years with higher tech cars nd less dependence on fossil fuel the wear outs will be down/thus less replacements/and maintenance/big engines will be 1.8 litres/dont make sense

Paranormal? Or A way through time?
Question:
I know how crazy this may sound & feel free to answer this in any way. When I was @ a very young age and I lived in Lorain , Ohio. I lived about 4 doors down away from lake erie. On the weekends My folks would invite friends&families over for get togethers and have these HUGE cookouts and parties out in the backyard. The place would be jamed packed, the others had to park their cars inside our backyard. So the grill & my kiddie pool would be out. My father & mother's friends & families would be out just having the best time and the music is on. But here is this thing that keeps hauting me. You see everytime I would walk around the house into a complete circle. By the time I reach the otherside of my house noone was there. The grill , pool, people & mom and dad and the cars. They were all gone not to be seen. BUT I can still hear them. So when I walk the other way to return where I came from they were there again. So , can anyone please help me with this? Thank you!

Answer:

Question:

Answer:
If you're really asking about having your signature notarized, that would be up to the notary public and to whether or not your ID was acceptable.

Ford avoided bankruptcy but at who's expense?
Question:
The unemployment rate in the United States reached a 26-year high of 9.7 percent in August 2009, and many economists expect it will continue to rise until it peaks above 10 percent in the first half of next year, Reuters reports. Meanwhile, positive hiring news came last week from General Motors Co., which announced on Tuesday that it plans to recall 2,400 factory workers to plants in Michigan, Indiana and Kansas, adding additional shifts to the facilities to keep them operating around the clock to meet increased demand for certain vehicles, the New York Times reports. About a month ago, GM said it would rehire 1,350 laid-off factory workers in Ohio and Ontario as it began to increase production after a year of drastic cuts; those workers are scheduled to report in October. Ford Forecasts 2011 Profitability In a press conference in New Delhi, India, last week, Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally said he expected his company to return to profitability in 2011, predicting U.S. sales will reach 10.5 to 11 million units in 2009, 12.5 million in 2010 and 14.5 million in 2011, Agence France-Presse reports. According to Mulally, the outcome of this rate of sales coupled with "[t]he guidance we have given overall — because we continue to invest in new products — is that we will be profitable in 2011." Ford, the only major U.S. automaker to have avoided bankruptcy, has gone through three consecutive years of annual losses totaling $30 billion, with a $1.4 billion decline in the first quarter of 2009 alone, AFP reports. Much of the company's planned turnaround depends on expanding its presence in Asian markets. According to CNN Money, Ford is investing $500 million in its Indian manufacturing plant to expand production to 200,000 units per year, with a special focus on the new Figo model designed for the Asian small-car market. Ford has similar plans for expansion in China, preparing to construct a new factory in southern China for the production of high-end sedans and sport-utility vehicles at a volume of 300,000 units annually, Bloomberg News reports. ------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------- I know GM has foreign plants, in fact they are closing the Lorain, Ohio plant and moving it to Mexico to build a new motor. What are these companies doing to help the American worker? Would you consider them to be un-patriotic? It seems to me that to keep them here we would have to work for peanuts. Isn't there a better way? T. Rex, "to keep them here". I know pays cuts are necessary but it seems that manufacturing jobs are going to people who make that in a day, if they're lucky. Obviously no one has a better answer, you just want to make Dems look stupid. I'm not worried about that, you've cornered the market. The manufacturing overseas is profitable until the workers there start demanding an increase in pay. Just like Japan. It 'seems to me (again) that these corporations will continue to seek out the most destitute in order to preserve profits. Where does that leaves us? I'm thinking socialism. The last GM I bought the motor cracked at about 15,000 miles. I had an extended warranty so they fixed it. It happened again within three months, they didn't want to pay for it until I threatened to take them to court. Great customer service. Glad your Ford isn't a lemon, yet. Just looking for reasonable ideas, not a conversation with a table.

Answer:
Ford is paying attentio to where people are buying cars. Dosen't it make sense to start developing their presence in India and China - which are likely to turn into larger car markets than the US? BTW - do you really think that we have seen the last of the GM bailouts?

Filing a complaint against someone with a loud exhaust.?
Question:
I want to file a noise complaint against someone in my mobile home park that has an unreasonably loud exhaust. It sounds modified to me. It's not just loud - it's obnoxiously loud. This is something I've had to deal with for a while now, and I want something done about it. I am due with my first baby in 2 weeks and I don't want to deal with this crap after my child is born. I get woken up by this person's car - I just don't want my child being woken up either. How should I go about this? I have only seen the car about one time, but I hear it more often pretty much speeding down the 25 MPH street. I usually wouldn't complain, but it's seriously annoying. When I can hear it loudly through my home with all of the doors and windows locked - there is a problem. I live in the county of Lorain in Ohio. I'm not sure if there are regulations or anything regarding this either.

Answer:
As Burt said notify the police. Also start keeping a log, just in case the first visit by the police doesn't dissuade your neighbor. Note the date and time. Here is a link to the ordinances for Ohio. Scroll down to Lorain County and then pick the town you live in. In Amherst the code is #509, found under Part 5 General Offenses. Hope that helps.
