Train or Bus Stations in Ohio?
Question:
I live in Kent, Ohio and I want to visit my friend in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. I don't ahve a car up here and I would like to take a bus or a train (whichever's cheapest). Does anyone know of any working train or bus stations that are around here?

Answer:
PARTA runs express bus service between Kent and downtown Cleveland. Greyhound can take you from Cleveland to Lewisburg, though it will take 11-15 hours because you have to transfer in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. There is no convenient Amtrak service near Lewisburg.

PLEASE READ*** Underage alcohol in OHIO. Second charge!!?
Question:
Last night I was charged for possession of alcohol in kent, ohio. A friend of mine (21 years old) and was outside in her car and she asked me to take a case of beer inside to her friends while she went to pick up her other friend. I put the beer in my bookbag (while i was in the car) and when I stepped out of the car, an undercover cop spotted me and asked what was in the bag. I told him it wasn't mine and i was just taking it inside. He charged me with underage alcohol possession and i have to go to court on thursday. The problem is... I've already been charged with underage possession 3 months ago. I am still on probation. I already took the diversion program and served 8 hours of community service. My question is... What is going to happen to me? Should I get a lawyer? PLEASE HELP and ANYTHING would be appreciated! Thanks!

Answer:
Well, you never had to show the cop what was in your bag anyways. They had no consent to search it, no reason to believe it was anything but textbooks. But you did say it was an undercover cop, so in this case the cop straight up tricked you unfortunately. To get a lawyer would probably be a waste of your money, I'd consider pleading no contest, and explain how you got caught with it and it was just your friends who had you bring it up. However, since you got caught 3 months ago too, there's a good chance they wouldn't believe you, so you maybe should just plead guilty.

Colleges and Universities close to Kent!?
Question:
I go to Baldwin-Wallace, and my girlfriend goes to Kent State... both schools in northern Ohio! And we were hoping to move in together after this school year! My girlfriend doesn't have a car, so she can't move outside of kent! And BW is a 45 minute drive from kent, and i can't do that commute everyday for class. My question is what would be a good college to transfer to around Kent?, that isn't Kent State or Akron... preferably a liberal arts school! Thanks for reading and the help!

Christians, if god is so almighty why does He allow so much evil in His Holy name?
Question:
A series of scandals resulted in the destruction of the reputations of several famous Christian evangelists. Some of the more famous happened in the 1980s with Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart. Some scandalized televangelists continue preaching, though with a far diminished viewership. Despite their respective scandals, they each often retain a core group of "faithful" followers. Contents [hide] 1 Jim Bakker 2 Darlene Bishop 3 Ted Haggard 4 Kent Hovind 5 Jimmy Swaggart 6 Jim Whittington 7 References [edit] Jim Bakker After receiving millions in salary and bonuses from his PTL televangelism network, Jim Bakker was forced to resign in 1987 following threats of the revelation of payoffs to former secretary Jessica Hahn, to whom Bakker's staff members had paid $265,000 to keep secret her sexual services to him. A later investigation into financial irregularities at PTL and its Heritage USA Christian-oriented theme park led to Bakker additionally being indicted on federal charges of fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering. [1] [edit] Darlene Bishop Darlene Bishop, a televangelist in Monroe, Ohio was sued by four relatives "over her claim that God cured their father - her brother - of throat cancer. He died of the disease 18 months ago." Her book, Your Life Follows Your Words tells how her brother was cured of cancer, but "there is no mention of his death in the book, which she says is due to the fact that it was published at a time when he had been in remission for more than a year." Bishop was also accused of probate irregularities and of mishandling her brother's estate.[2] [edit] Ted Haggard On November 3, 2006, Ted Haggard, who actually was regarded as a pastor rather than as a televangelist, resigned his leadership of the National Association of Evangelicals[3] and temporarily stepped aside as pastor of his church because of allegations by former prostitute[4] and masseur Mike Jones that Haggard engaged in sex with him for three years and used methamphetamine. Haggard at first claimed he did not know his accuser.[5] He later admitted receiving a massage from Jones but denied having sex with him. He also admitted buying methamphetamine but asserted he never kept it and denied ever using it. On November 4th he was dismissed by the church for "sexually immoral conduct." [6] [edit] Kent Hovind On November 2, 2006, Kent "Dr. Dino" Hovind and his wife, Jo, were found guilty by a jury in Federal court in Pensacola, Florida of numerous federal tax and tax-related offenses. Hovind is best known as an outspoken "Young Earth" creationist. He is serving a 10-year prison term.[7][8] [edit] Jimmy Swaggart Jimmy Swaggart admitted sinning against God and his wife in 1988 after being caught on film taking a prostitute to a motel. He had prior built his ministry into a $150 million-a-year (£65m) concern.[9] In 1991 it was alleged that he was stopped by police in a car with another prostitute. [10] [edit] Jim Whittington Jim Whittington spent 10 years in prison for money laundering, mail fraud, conspiracy, and interstate transportation of stolen property from his evangelist crusades and direct mail business in the 1980s. On November 2, 2005, U.S. District Court Judge Malcolm Howard ordered the Rev. Jim Whittington to pay $5,500 a month. Whittington, who had expensive high-speed boats and a Rolls-Royce, owed wheelchair-bound Valeria Lust $848,532.[11] [edit] References ^ Ostling, Richard. "Enterprising Evangelism", Time, 1987-8-03. Answer:
God is not a puppeteer pulling our strings to behave or not in certain ways. Its the free will of the individual. He's not going to over ride our choices, that's how evil can happen in His name. People do it - not God. Ultimately tho, God uses for good that which man intended for evil. God's glory will be revealed in the worst of things. 9/11 is an example of that. God's grace and love and mercy and compassion was seen throughout that situation despite men doing the evil in His name.

I have 2 sleep in my car 4 the first 2 weeks I'm there. Are there laws against this?
Question:
I'm moving from Oklahoma to Ohio to be close to family and to go to college. I however can't seem to snag a job over the phone or online so I will have to live in my car until I find one and can pay for a place to stay. I was wondering if Ohio has any laws against this. Or is they have places to park over night besides in rest stops way out in the middle of nowhere. I'll be going to school at Kent. So somewhere near there would be even more useful info.

Answer:
can't you stay with your family? or look up thier local paper on line and look for work from there? would your family really make you sleep in your car??? they do have local shelters for the homelss!

Does our government have the right to ride Egypt or Libya or Iran for their treatment of their citizens?
Question:
As a reminder go to YT and type in Kent State. in 1970 the national guard murdered 4 students and wounded 12 others permanently paralyzing one student. 2 students murdered by the guard were merely walking to class and not part of the peace protests of the 60's. Nixon in 1970 announced he was not ending the viet nam war as promised (that's why we call him tricky dick) but instead going into Cambodia. The students protested. The Governor called in the National Guard and they dispersed the crowd and while the crowd was walking away, they were given the order to fire upon the students. 63 live rounds of ammo were dispersed on the crowd. All 18 were shot in the back. All unarmed. OWS will be next to give them the freedom to begin the reign of fire for america, marshal law, where they can shoot us in the back as well anytime we don't agree with them, any time we ask a question about 911 or any other issue, we can be considered possible terrorist and marshal law can be given now, not by the state, but by the president. Keep in mind President Obama was on TV nightly telling americans to protest. To lead us perhaps straight into the trap so martial law and the final only two remaining rights granted to us by the constitution which are freedom of speech and the right to bear arms, can be taken away from us one way only. Martial law just like they did after katrina. And yet we have the audacity to tell Libya it can't treat its people like that? Can you say Oxymoron? Freedom isn't free. To this day I have yet to forgive the state of Ohio, the people who voted for the moron that killed our kids, the national guard who were all aware they had the right to refuse any order given to them that they feel is illegal and firing on unarmed citizens in the back surely even to an 18 year old soldier at the time should seem not right. but they did shoot, they chose to murder those kids, not one of them refused to follow an illegal order. I hope they are still alive, carrying the memory for all time of what listening to your own government can do to you. How do we separate the lies, the half truths, and the non stop denial of our rights? Should we quit protesting? I'm not sure about the outcome of the OWS movement, but by god I strongly support their right to protest which is far better than being the arm chair quarterback sitting in yahoo answers telling all how to fix the government. Sometimes a car is so old and rusty, its just not worth fixing so you get a new car. How do you feel about it. What was your Kent State event that made you hesitate to put your hand over your heart during the national anthem? do you pledge allegiance to murderers?

Answer:
No. USA is not worlds police force. USA is only country that used Nuke against innocent peoples and so worst candidate to do something against dictatorship Gov s. In Iran we feel free and we don't allow anybody to do anything about our country.
