Im trying to raise money for my schools art department, what can I do?

I am the head of the 'for the arts of Grove City' nonprofit organization that raises money for the art and music departments in my school. the school has an average of 400 people per grade. already i have lined up authentic sea shell jewelry completely hand made, denim purses (recycled out of old jeans), neck pillows, glow sticks, cookies, and am planning 2 car washes in the spring time and maybe one before winter hits. but we need to raise more, what else can I do?

You could get everyone to paint pictures or draw something and then sell them or sell food. Everyone loves food. Ask people to bring in food and then sell it at your school but make sure to advertise this with flyers or a facebook status. You could do sketches of people and charge them £2 depending on the size. i completely agree with this person's reason but mine was different. i made the decision when i was very little (5 years old or younger) because i simply felt that it was wrong to eat animals. i have never smelled burning flesh before, and obviously i never want to; i just realized hey, we are eating other living creatures that are only born to die and be digested. that is really sad, and it is really wrong. and by the way, we don't know for sure that hitler was a vegetarian, and even if he was, that does not make vegetarianism evil. that is a ridiculous argument, look at all the great vegetarians: leonardo da vinci, pythagoras, and benjamin franklin to name a few. anyways, i don't know if you personally are a vegetarian, but if you are, then you should be proud to be one. =D

Traveling to new York City: PATH Train Advice?

I will be parking my car and traveling into Manhattan via the Grove Station PATH train. I will be staying at Murray Hill East Suites, address as follows: 149 E 39th St New York, NY 10016 (212) 661-2100 Where should I get off the PATH train in Manhattan? in order to get to the hotel

At Grove Station, get on the PATH train marked "33rd Street". Take the train to the last station, which will be West 33rd Street. From there it will be about an easy 10-15 minute walk to your hotel--basically just walk uptown to West 39th Street and then make a right, following West 39th Street to Fifth Avenue, where it becomes East 39th Street, and then continue to 149 East 39th Street. If you get at all confused, there will be cabs everywhere, who will get you to your hotel for about $6.

how come Elk Grove doesn't use the RT system?

Why did it switch over to E-tran system? I think it's lame...because if someone lived in Elk Grove and wanted to transport to somewhere else in the Sacramento area but does not have a car or wants to save gas...it would be hard. Also, why don't we have a light rail station? I live in Elk Grove, and I like using the light rail alot (I've used it a couple of times because Sac City College has a light rail station and me and my friends would use it to go out to lunch) because it's faster than a regular bus and safer than driving.

RT does not have the money at this time to extend Light Rail into Elk Grove. I do believe in the future there are plans to do so. E-tran does connect with Light Rail, here is a link to their web site. http://www.e-tran.org/
