Car Problems! Loan! ETC....?
Question:
So about a year ago I purchased a car from a buy here pay here lot in fairfield ohio called car connection.. I got me a 2002 Ford Taurus, they were selling it for about 8 grand I want to say. Well its been roughly a year this october.. And I cant just afford it anymore. Ever since they have been draining me for me money. 305 a month alone for the car. I am 19 years old. I was never late on a payment and have made every payment on time. Is there anyhtin I could do to get out of it!!!! Please Help!

Answer:
There are a few drawbacks to buying from a 'Buy here, Pay here" lot. For instance, many do not report your vehicle loan unless you default, meaning that even though you have been paying on time for a year, it might not even show up on your credit report. If the lot used outside financing, such as a secondary lender, then you should have loan papers which state the term, interest rate, and amount to finance. As long as it is a simple interest loan, all you have to do is call the lender (either the dealership or the secondary lender) and ask them for your current payoff amount and make sure there are no pre-payment penalties. The amount they give you will be how much you will need to give them before they will release the title so you can sell it. I would suggest giving them a call, find out your payoff, and see what your Taurus is worth and put it up for sale. Keep in mind that if your payoff is $6,000 and you can only sell it for $4,000, you will have to pay the difference($2,000 in this example) to the lender before they will release the title. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Answer:
Well, if it makes you feel any better, you are not alone....most people cant afford their cars and the gas that goes in them ( however few will admit it like you do- good for you!!) heres my suggestion...try to sell it for what you owe and get out from under it!! You wont be able to trade down at all.....too many used cars out there, put it on the internet , papers eveywhere you can!!

seeking perry county, ohio shawnee indians re: adopted twin girls of late 1950's?
Question:
seeking, ohio shawnee indians re: adopted twin girls of late 1950's. biological mother was last seen at a crooksville, ohio church in 1992. was told that biological family lived in the outlying area of shawnee, ohio. possible work place for biological father was at congo, ohio. this is where he was last seen being hit over the head in the early 1960's. i did see him in a hospital bed sometime after that though. that leads me to believe that he survived the attack on his life. i saw my bio. mother at shawnee, ohio christmas giveaway when i was about eight years old. this was held in an auditorium. i no longer have connection with adopted parents, one of whom has passed away. i and my son need family medical history for inherited epilepsy which only affects native indians, probably my bio. mother. i grew up in fairfield county, lancaster, ohio area. bio. mother would be about 5'2", thin, brown hair. driving a brown chevy car in 92 at crooksville. please help.

Answer:
Good luck to you on your search. Many Indians are still being adopted away from their families. The Mormon church and others have adoption programs based in various Indian Reservations. This is a sort of cultural genocide done 'For the good of the children'. I hope and pray that your life was good though. You should get a 'genetic screening'. You really don't need a family history. This is modern and more reliable than the memory of most people. It will tell you a lot about what you may be susceptible to.

Would you keep reading based on this first chapter (A LOT TO READ!!!)?
Question:
CHAPTER ONE High school is a place for learning, making new friends, finding love, and ultimately… a place for making lifelong enemies. Earlier this month, I started school, a school with a campus as big as a city. I would be actually living on this campus for an entire year. This gave me a fresh new start in my school life. At my last school, I was an outcast, a loser and on top of that, my grades were slipping while I was focusing on getting popular. I thought this school would be different, and that I’d be happy, maybe I’d be popular, and maybe my grades would be perfect. I never thought I could go further than that. The first day of school, as my parents were driving along the road, I noticed that the walls surrounding the campus were at least a mile long, and there were tall trees on the other side. “So, how does my little girl feel about going to a new school?” my mother asked. “It’s not about going there, it’s about coming home” I said still starring out at that ten foot high brick wall. “Well Jessica, this is your last year of school before you start college, so enjoy it while it lasts” my father said concentrating on the road. We had driven all the way from San Diego to Fairfield, Ohio for this school. When I asked my parents why we couldn’t just fly here, they said that we could not afford an airplane ticket, or three tickets for that matter. They also said it would be the last “family time” we had for awhile. The sky was gloomy grey, and as the car got closer to the entrance gate, it got darker. “I am going to miss my little Jessy so much” mom said as she wiped her tears away. “Oh mom, don’t cry it’ll be okay.” I said assuring. “Well we’re here, Hillcrest Academy!” dad said in excitement. As we pulled up to the two large gate doors and next to the call box, a voice came on the speaker “Welcome to Hillcrest Academy, what is the nature of your visit?” the guy said as if he just woke up. “I come to drop off my daughter” dad said. As the large gates started to open slowly, dad turned to me “Now I know you’re going to do well, I can just feel it. Getting into this school is like getting into the White House, and that’s a sign from above.” He continued “We’re just trying to give you what we never had, a good education” he said with a warm smile. When those gates opened, there was a road winding through tall trees. That’s when I realized that the campus was not only surrounded by walls, but there was also a large forest surrounding it too. As my father started to follow the road, I noticed animals in the forest. That’s when an oncoming school bus passed us. The people on the inside appeared to be football players. I made eye contact with one of them. As we starred at each other, time seem to have slowed down. His caramel skin, his ocean blue eyes and his slick black hair. If all the guys at this place are this cute, then this place can’t be that bad I thought to myself. Then another bus passed, this time, there were cheerleaders on there. As I looked at their faces, one of them stuck out. That face belongs to Asia Love. I was sure that was her on that bus. But, why is she here? I thought to myself. If she’s here then trouble is here too. As I took my focus off of the bus and onto the sight ahead, I totally forgot all about Asia. This forest turned into…a city. I could not believe this place was just a campus. There were houses, apartments, stores, cars, and people walking around. There were even sky scrapers in the distance. “Wow, this place is…..fantastic!” mom said in amazement. Mom pulled out some papers. “Honey, it says here to go to Quill Avenue, that’s where the auditorium is.” She informed my father. It literally took 22 minutes to get there. Dad parked the car and got out stretching. “So, how do you like it so far?” mom asked turning to me. “I love it.” I said. “That’s great Jessica, I’m glad you like it” she said as she stepped out of the car. I opened the car door and took my first step onto the moist campus ground. The rest of the chapter couldn't fit, but the principal gives some of the rules and introduces the head of security. then she gets her dorm address and schedule. so she gets it and meets a boy named Lance who might be related to the boy she saw on the bus earlier. then she says bye to her parents and get on the bus with Lance. THE STORY IS ABOUT A MIDDLE CLASS GIRL WHO STARTS A NEW SCHOOL THAT IS HUGE. WHILE THERE SHE MAKES NEW FRIENDS AND NEW ENEMIES. SHE ALSO ENDS UP IN A BIG LOVE TRIANGLE. MEANWHILE THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT OVERTHROWS THE PRINCIPAL AND HIS SECURITY TEAM. WILL THE LOVE TRIANGLE BE RESOLVED? WILL THE PRINCIPAL TAKE THE SCHOOL BACK? WILL HE MAKE PEACE WITH ASIA? WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ON THIS STORY, WHAT SHOULD I CHANGE OR KEEP? THANKS. P.S. I DID SPACE MY PARAGRAPHS, BUT THEY WERE BUNCHED WHEN I PASTED FROM WORD.

Answer:
You need to double double space between paragraphs to get them looking right in here or not many people will read and critique your work. Experiment with how to do that in future posts; cutting and pasting is not the best method. You've too much exposition and you need to start a bit later than you do. Also, how the parents talk to the near-adult daughter is more appropriate for talking to a six-year-old. But I applaud you for writing a blurb/pitch first, which can help keep you focused as you continue to write. I hope the skyscraper in the distance is in a real city a few miles away; a mile-square prep school campus would have a four-story building, at most. A top prep school this big, you're talking about maybe 40,000 dollars tuition per year, and I wonder what the parents did to scrape that up and if there's anything left in her college fund now. If she's a top academic senior, her college plans will already be solid; if she isn't top-performing, she'd never get in a place like this from her socioeconomic place in the world. Football may well not be the big sport at a prep school--lacrosse, for instance, may be. Here's my rewrite of what should be just the beginning: The brick walls surrounding the campus were at least a mile long with tall trees visible on the other side. “What do you think of your new school?” my mother asked. “It’s not about going there, it’s about coming home” I said, still starring out at that ten-foot-high wall. My father concentrated on his driving, saying, “(something else--don't disguise exposition as dialog by having people tell things they've known for months or years--probably about how great senior year can be would be a good topic for this clause), so enjoy it while it lasts” my father said. We had driven all the way from San Diego to Fairfield, Ohio for this school, giving us the last “family time” we had for awhile. The sky was gloomy grey, and as the car got closer to the entrance gate, it got darker. “I'm going to miss you,” Mom said as she wiped her tears away. “Oh Mom, don’t cry, it’ll be okay.” I said. “Well we’re here!” Dad said in excitement. As we pulled up to the iron gate and next to the call box, a voice came on the speaker “Welcome to Hillcrest Academy, what is the nature of your visit?” the guy said as if he just woke up. “I come to drop off my daughter” Dad said. As the large gates started to open slowly, Dad turned to me. “I know you’re going to do well. I can just feel it. Getting into this school is like getting into the White House, and that’s a sign from above.” He must have read something on my face I didn't know was there. “We’re just trying to give you what we never had, a good education” he said. end rewrite. I don't believe a bunch of rich kids would overthrow anything--they are the ruling class, in just a few years, and they know it. They all have early entry to Ivy League schools or private colleges you may've never heard of but are packed with the country's elite, and they won't risk that with felonious acts of this nature (they might indulge in gang rape of a townie, which they know their parents' lawyers can get them out of, but not revolutionary actions. Pranks, I'd believe). If an old enemy is at a totally different sort of school 2000 miles away from home, that's one heck of a coincidence. It had better be explained logically later on. So were I an editor or agent, no, I'd not ask for a partial based on your description and this intro, even an intro improved in prose style. Keep writing, but also read some novels set in prep schools by those who have been there (John Irving, I believe, taught at one and has some chunks of novels set in them), look at websites of several, get a more realistic sense of what goes on there through those two forms of research to improve your verisimilitude. Remember, it takes about ten years of steady writing of fiction and focused study of the craft to learn to produce something salable, something that total strangers will want to read. If you haven't put your ten years in yet, the tepid response you're getting here is to be expected. Writing is a solitary pursuit, for the most part--people aren't going to applaud you every 500 words for that whole ten years.

Answer:
Ohio is tough on 1st offense OVI charges. The 3 days in jail is standard. Fines and fees could be in the thousands. The other two charges aren't a huge deal, but they will cost you some extra $ and probation. But the fact that you are under the legal drinking age means your license loss will very likely be 3 years. The school may not care, but it is difficult to say what they will do, it is up to them. Some schools have strict rules on scholarship money, athletics not as much, but it really depends.
