Help me out, a friend's car was stolen and stripped out... where are shops that strip down stolen cars?
Question:
Please help me out if you're in the east cleveland area or west cleveland. My Boyfriend switched out his car's engine with a new japanese one. He also turned it into a stick shift. The day he got his car back it was stolen within the 13hrs that he had it. He was at his college in in Lakeland and it was stolen in the parking lot withing the 20 min. he was in school. This was a few days ago, it turned up stripped down with nothing in it what so ever on west side cleveland today. If you have any information on who stole it or any shops in cleveland then please tell me. I feel helpless just watching and not being able to do anything about it... If I did know where, i'd tell the cops and i'm pretty sure they'd check it out eventually.

Answer:
Even if you had the info what would you do? The cops wont do anything. And you'll get killed if you go over to the shop

What is the cheapest/most convenient way to get from Ohio (either columbus or Cleveland) to connecticut?
Question:
I could drive, but that is ~ 12 hours (so... no) If i took a plane it would be over $400 round trip, plus I'm too young to rent a car as I need to get to East Haddam Connecticut. Plus I work 40 hours/ week in Columbus, so I'd just want to make it a weekend trip in August so I don't miss out on earning money. Any feasible suggestions?

Answer:
Unfortunately, it looks like the best bet is to drive. I checked and there are no amtrak stations in Columbus. They are all north or in Cincinnati. To take a bus (closest station to East Haddem is New London) would be cheaper than a plane - but all the times are anywhere from 20hr-22hr traveling. Not worth it if you are going for a weekend. I moved to Florida 3 years ago from CT (Vernon) and we drove down. Sure, I did have help driving, however 12 hours can be done in one day. Just make sure to have good music, and stop to stretch your legs and get a bite to eat! The most I drove alone is about 5-6 hours. Went to visit a friend. It was kind of nice in a way since I got all that time to myself. Or maybe even bring a friend with you on a road trip there! The shore line in CT is very pretty!

With the NFC East teams having tough remaining schedules, will the East send more than 1 team to the playoffs?
Question:
The NFC South more than likely will send 3 teams to the playoffs. The Giants are a virtual lock to make the playoffs. The 8-4 Cowboys play @Pitt, NYG, Balt, and @Philly to close the season. The 7-5 Skins play @ Balt, @ Cinci, Philly, and @ San Fran. 6-5-1 Eagles - @ Giants, Cleveland, @ Wash, Dallas. 9-3 Bucs - @ Car, @ ATL, SD, OAK - virtual lock 9-3 Panthers - TB, DEN, @NYG, @NO 8-4 Falcons - @ NO, TB, @ MIN, STL 6-6 Saints - ATL, @ CHI, @ DET, CAR If I could choose, I'd take ANY of the NFC South's closing schedules before taking 1 of the NFC East - the only one that's close is the Skins. Will the talented East only send 1 team to the playoffs? If Atlanta wins 2 out of 4, they will more than likely end up with the same record at the Cowboys at 10-6.... the Cowboys have a tough schedule - winning 3 of the last 4 is a lot to ask for them. So if the Falcons and Cowboys have 10-6 records it goes to conference records. Assuming the Falcons go 2-2, theyll have a 7-5 conference record (only have in-conference games left). If the Cowboys lose to the Giants and beat the Eagles (which is very likely), and split with the Ravens and Steelers, they also will have a 7-5 conference record. From there it goes to records against common opponents... Which Dallas would have the edge in, but my point is that it isn't out of the question for the East to only send the Giants because of the schedules. Eagles could very well beat the Cowboys last game of the year, which assuming the Cowboys lose to the Giants, would mean Dallas misses the playoffs... PS - if the season ended today, the East would only send the Giants to the playoffs, and the Bucs, Panthers, and Falcons would all go.

Answer:
The Cowboys have to beat Pittsburgh this weekend or their playoff hopes basically fall in the hands of the Falcons. I could see the Falcons losing 3 of 4 to finish to let Dallas squeak in.

Snow Plowing Cost NE Ohio?
Question:
What would be a reasonable fee for plowing my driveway which is of average size (fits 2 cars with not much left, and can fit 4 vehicles in total), and I live on the east side of Cleveland. If anyone local reads this and knows of a reliable/cost efficient company I'd appreciate the info. (first time home owner, hence the question).

Answer:
We live in Cleveland Heights, and if you'll email me, I'd be happy to send you the information about the guy we use. I don't know if he's the cheapest, but he's quite reliable. As a first time home owner, I would suggest that you check out Angie's List. I've had great luck with them, and we've used them to find all sorts of different service providers for our home. They solicit opinions from hundreds and hundreds of homeowners on work that they've had done. That way, you get many many opinions about any given company, not just one. In Cleveland, they cost about $7 a month, or about $50 per year plus a $15 sign up fee. I've definitely saved more than that, just from getting reliable recommendations for contractors (lawn care, plumbers, tree trimming, bathtub refinishing, etc. etc.). So many dumb things will come up where you need to find a good contractor. Congratulations on your new home. And good luck with the plowing. You'll definitely need it this week!

New Business "CAR WASH"?
Question:
"""""""""""" I NEED HONEST HELP""""""""""" I want to open a car wash "100% hands on car wash no machine's will also do car detailing" i want to know what price should i charge, how many cars should i average a day.. i guess any help from you would help"""" i live in lake county ohio east of cleveland,,, county population is 260k

Answer:
Price the local super washes and try to stay just a bit below what they charge. I don't know if you are registering for a business license or not but this sounds like a good way to earn some cash if doing it at home. I'd say for a good inside detail and good outer wash $25 to $35 good luck with this idea and hope you succeed.

Suing for accident damages?
Question:
I am a police officer in East Cleveland Ohio. I was hit by a drunk driver while responding to assist another officer. The guy tested positive for alcohol, cocaine and marijuana. I was not at fault obviously, and the county prosecutor is charging the guy with aggravated vehicular assault becasue of the DUI. The other guy is in very bad shape, on a ventilator and will most likely die...which regardless is unfortunate.....he had no car insurance and he has no assets. Now i could care less if the city gets their money for a new dodge charger police car, and yes workers comp will handle my medical bills. My question is, if the guy dies and he has a life insurance policy that pays a family member....and I get a judgement for presonal injury...can I get money from that life insurance policy?

Answer:
I don't believe so. YOu see, you would be able to go after teh assets in that individuals estate. HOwever, a life insurance policy is not an asset of the estate. It is a non-probate asset. Meaning, upon his death it immediately becomes the property of someone else (the beneficiary). Therefore, It is not his property for you to go after.

Is this guy posing as a First Energy worker?
Question:
I was walking my girlfriend outside to her car so she could go home. We were standing outside in the parking lot smoking a cigarette, when this black guy walked up to us wearing a coat saying "first energy" and was carrying a clipboard. He asked if I lived with my parents and if they were home. I knew something wasn't right before he even made the initial contact, so I said no. He went on to say that he can cut our gas bill down and save a few bucks versus the other gas companies. So after that one minute he walked away. Me and my girlfriend observed him as he walked away and he attempted to talk to someone else that was in the parking lot but she didn't listen, so he walks away and hops in the back of some red van! No one was in the driver seat. He just opened the door, sat down and closed it. Me and my girlfriend were like wtf? I was tempted to call the police. I don't even think First Energy goes door-to-door. Please enlighten me on this if anyone has any information. I'm in the East-Cleveland area.

Answer:
I would assume if he was really from First Energy that it would be mandatory for him to have some ID to verify who he is. If it happens again, you should call the police. Criminal-minded people often disguise themselves [this is not about his skin color. This is about all criminals].

Should I stay or should I go?
Question:
My boyfriend wants to go see this band playing that we like. He says it's a "once in a lifetime chance" I'm kind of indifferent as to wanting to go see the band or not. They're playing in East Cleveland (the place itself is in an okay neighborhood, but you have to go through a bad neighborhood to get there). Also, it wuld take like an hour and 20 minutes to get there form where I live. My dad was fine with me going, until my mom said I couldn't. So, should I risk saying I'm going somewhere else to go see this band and have a romantic night with my boyfriend? (I've already told them I have plans with other people that night anyway to play it off like it didn't matter, so the only issue of getting caught would be if I got into car trouble or got home too late). What should I do?

Answer:
do what your parents say, don't play with fire

Answer:
These prices are OK if you are a beginner. For all that work I would be at $250 - 400 easily. And I don't do engines. Stay out of people's trunks unless they ask you to clean it. A lot people store stuff in their trunk they do not want inside the car. Ask the client first if they want the trunk done, then inspect it with the client and ask about any items that might need to be removed or handled by you. Engine cleaning is very risky even with normal precautions. If you screw up something under the hood, the problems are serious and expensive to fix. Headlight restoration is something I get $40 for as an option. I NEVER throw it into a detail for $20. I'd raise my price of the Super Detail to $200-250. At $170 you are giving it away. Funny you mention the polish specifically but nothing else. Most people do not care you will be using overpriced Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover (and, yes, I've been using Pinnacle products for over 12 years). That swirl remover is a little mild to use as a one step polish. For my one steps, I use Meguiars M86 or Menzerna SIP P083. A lot more bite, better defect removal, and they finish down nicely. Your prices are OK for a teenager just starting out but consider how you are going to raise your prices as you build a clientele and expenses rise. Also, where is your simple hand wash price? What about wash and wax? Those services are the most common and will generate you steady revenue between Full and Super Detail jobs.
