Why should America use reusable or green energy instead of fossil fuel?
Question:
All you have to do is pour a gallon of gas in a car and start it. Why would anybody want to take a reflector and charge up a battery, then wait for a wind to power the air conditioner? Then when you have cloudy days, you pay more for the solar energy because like the weather was bad and we couldn't get a lot of energy stored? Should we really plant wind mills and hope a Tornado strikes it? What about Hydro power and having a few good storms and to force or the energy of moving water?

Answer:
You're right Katey. If solar and wind energy meant a lower standard of living, unreliable utilities and a whole bunch of hassle, it just plain would not be worth looking at for most people. But it might surprise you that many scientists, engineers and inventors have developed ways to allow this amazing technology to work harmoniously with our existing power supplies. If done right, renewable energy IS as simple as pouring gas into a car. Then you could save a few precious gallons of that gasoline, and your great grandkids will have more to put in their cars... or hovercrafts, or whatever they are driving 100 years from now.

I need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (help, please?)?
Question:
I'm 16, and I have to buy my own car...-_-*bleh...* Anyway, are there any cars in the fayetteville/hope mills(north carolina) area that are anywhere between $500 and $1000?

Answer:
I live around there, but that's mighty little money you have to get a good car. Look in the classifieds of newspapers and you might find something. I don't think it'll be in the best condition for that cheap, though. Maybe it'll just have a whole bunch of miles on it.

How do I find overseas employment?
Question:
I am a veteran of the US Army. I am divorced, no children with me, not married to some house payment, There is nothing holding me down here. The job market, well there are a million jobs if ya only like making small wages. I have heard there is a huge need for empleyees overseas especially in Iraq and Afganistan an other places abroad. My field of expertiese is Logistics and logisticle support. Does anyone know of websites I can goto where I can view the job, howq much it makes, and where I can apply for the job. I've been fortunate to find couple. Look I milled around for 7 years hoping to get like a regular American life, ya know, the mortgage, the wife the family, and they all lived hapily ever after and all of that. Yada yada yada! Its crap! It doesn't exist. At least not for me. I am ready to just up and go, go where the jobs are. It's time to stop looking for a wife, nice house, cars, the white fense, my dream of a family life, realize its a pipe dream and just move ON! I quit!

Answer:
There are a ton of websites...Army Civilian Personnel Online, Air Force Personnel Center, Department of the Navy, www.usajobs.com, Halliburton, www.cpms.osd.mil/gwot, etc. However, I think it will be easier to go overseas as a contractor.

Im trying to educate my school about puppy mills...?
Question:
Ive been thinking for a while now, and i think its final. People need to know more about puppy mills. My friend got a puppy from Petland about a month ago. I was extremly angry, but I didnt say anything to her. Also, another of my friends bought a puppy from a lady that sold them in the back of her car, but gave the puppy to her grandma. Now she said that they are going to get another puppy from the same lady for themself. I told her about those dogs in a shelter/rescue group i got my dog, and petfinder, but she didnt seem like she would check. It makes me furious when people buy puppies from petstore (or backyard breeders) and help support the suffering of puppy mill dogs. In my presentation, I'm hoping my school will let me presentit. Its mostly about puppy mills, and how bad they really are and not to support them. I also included about adopting dogs. Whats some other things I should add? Also, do you think this is a good idea, to educate the school, hoping they past the message on?

Answer:
I think your focus should be on adopting animals from shelters and private adoption groups rather than focusing too much attention to puppy mills. Tell them what puppy mills are and how not to support puppy mills, but in the end if you don't talk about the good rewarding experience of adoption, you'll end up with people having empathy for dogs stores and having them go "rescue" them from the puppy mills (which plays right into their hands by getting dogs sold). Basically, tell them puppy mills are bad because of inbreeding, poor health of puppies. Focus on all the hard work shelters and rescue do and how the animals are so grateful to have a second chance. I'm the medical coordinator for a local rescue group. I work 40-60 hours at my "real" job, and the rest of my time taking care of fostered animals. I foster animals in my own home and we have a system of other foster homes. The animals receive the same medical care our own pets have, and receive special attention in behavior and obedience. Right now my foster dog is going to doggy school. Show them that they can not only help the animal world by adopting a shelter or rescue dog, but by volunteering time with a group, fostering a dog or cat, or by donating time, money or supplies.

does anyone remember this Mills and Boon book?
Question:
I neither remember the author nor the name of the book. But i know the story by heart.Dimitrios a Greek billionaire comes to London in search of Poppy -his nephew Nikos’ girlfriend. Apparently Nikos is heart broken as Poppy suddenly tells him their relationship is over. He plans to take Poppy home and show her seriously ill sis that they are engaged in the hope that she will recover. Of course he means Nikos and Poppy to fake it. He has never seen Poppy but arrives at the address given to him by Nikos. He knows that Poppy is a model and has some serious negative prejudices about them. RIA has just come home (at 3am) from a ten day Shanghai trip. Jet lagged and weary she goes to sleep only to be awakened by banging on the door at 6am – by Dimitrios. He assumes her to be Poppy and in furious tone orders her to come to Greece with him. Ria’s parents had died in a car crash so she grew up with her cousin Poppy. She had lent poppy her apartment while she was away for some ‘privacy reasons’. She knows something is wrong when she hears Poppy’s scared voice on the phone at 7am. So she agrees to go in order to protect her cousin from this ill tempered, dangerous stranger. The story has interesting twists and turns. As Dimitrios discovers her true identity in a nasty surprise, Ria learns that she is almost a look alike of Dimitrios’ previous cheater-girlfriend. Also Poppy comes home with Nikos declaring she is pregnant and tends to marry him ASAP….etc. The story follows. I read it last year and want to find it Can anyone help??

Answer:
Deceitful Lover by Helen Brooks Dimitrios Koutsoupis loves his family, and he takes his responsibility of taking care of them over the edge. When his nephew Nikos falls in love, and is rejected, Dimitrios goes to confront the woman who has the gall to walk on his nephew's heart. Problem, he picks the wrong woman, he's after Poppy, but he confronts Ria. The two women were as different as night and day. It seemed odd with all the things Nikos told his uncle, he never told him Poppy has red hair and brown eyes. Ria is blond, with gray eyes.

Can i afford a mortgauge? 2nd try. Hope this time works. ?
Question:
have been looking at some Lofts in down town salt lake city utah. I currently am making 33,600 a year. I have a 06 audi that is paid off, I don't have a cell phone payment or health/car insurance (my parents hook that up) So my bills are basically Rent, food, gas, and entertainment. My paychecks are usually a little over a thousand every 2 weeks. The place that I am interested in was listed for 238,000 and then they just dropped the price to 198.850. My question is how low of an offer do you think i can make? My parents are giving me a down payment of 80,000 do you think that i could get it at 175,000 or 180,000? This way I will only have to borrow 100,000 and my payments will be (i think) affordable. The HOA on the building is 160 a month that includes water, internet, cable, covered parking, building insurance, and geothermal (some system where they take the earth heat to heat and cool the building so no heat or air conditioning bill) I know they wont give me a loan i am going to do an FHA and my parents are going to co sign. I don't have the best credit but my parents both have 800 Fi-co scores and are worth about 25 mill so I will be aproved on a loan soley becuase of them. Also last time i tried this someone was trying to say you said you make 33,600 and if you make 2 grand a month that doesnt add up please dont make stupid comments like that. I make 33,600 salary and yes i do pay my Federal taxes and State taxes so after that 2 grand a month. So what is your opinion if i have to commute to work 90 miles a day (my car gets 30mpg) , pay for gas, food, mortagage, utilities, and entertainment do you think that i can afford to have a motgauge? I hope to have a loan of about 100K so my payments will be about 800-900 a month(650 mortgage, 80 property tax,160 HOA *estimate*) . Is it possible to live as a single guy off of 1100-1200 a month paying for gas food and entertainment ect? Or am I still a little short? So if I am boarderline at 80K I guess i will just have to ask them for 120K good thing i have rich parents :) and no gift tax is not killer your parents are allowed to give you 1 million in your lifetime "gift money" that is tax free all they have bought me is a 30k car

Answer:
Your parents will not be able to cover you with health insurance as soon as you buy, you will no longer be their dependent. With your income you can afford something around 80k, the house you are looking out is not even close to your income level. A big chuck of that 80k is going to go to the government, gift tax is killer. It really does not matter if you think you are short or not, all that matters is the bank, and they will not approve you, you are even borderline at a loan for 80k.

Rate my writing por favor! Be judgmental, I might cry [haha, hope not] but it's still good to know!?
Question:
I just wrote this randomly and I'd like to know how it is. Is there anything I can work on? Thanks. :] Here it is: July 25, 2011, Ms. Garza handed me a small black book that looked like it could be about a hundred years old and I took it wearily. I don’t like Crazy Garcia at all. “Your new foster parent wants you to write in this. Don’t ask me why.” Her blubbery voice crackled in boredom. “Foster parent?” Parent. As in only one? I thought. “I said, don’t ask me questions kid.” She snapped. “Sorry.” I mumbled in reflex. “C’mon.” Hissed the old lady. As fat as she was her face still looked hollow and gaunt as she waddled out the door, leaving me to drag my suitcase, pillow, and giant duffle bag all in one. Everything I owned. Crazy Garcia tapped her foot impatiently as I dragged my belongings across the gravelly parking lot to her pink ’67 Cadillac. She couldn’t wait to get rid of me. Well I can’t wait to get rid of you either, you witch, I thought. I would’ve said it out loud, but I needed the ride. Forty-five minutes later the Cadillac’s engine was stalling outside Salt Lake City International Airport. “Here” Crazy Garcia said and shoved a ticket into my already full hands. “Wha--- what?” I stuttered. “No. No, you can’t leave me here!” “Your flight is the 1:45 to Columbus, Ohio.” “Ohio!” I gulped. “Go on.” She said, bored by my worried charade. “Hold on….” I was really starting to panic now. “I’ve never been to an airport in my life. I’ve never been on a plane, ever. Please! I’m terrified of flying.” Crazy Garza only smirked as she put the gear in reverse. “See you kid.” “Please don’t leave me!” Was I really begging Crazy Garcia not to go away? “I’ve got things to do…” Was the last I heard from her as her car flew away from the curb. I stood there shaking for a good ten minutes, my things scattered around me. “What the hell” was all I could think. Was I even going to be adopted or had that just been a ploy to get rid of me? People milled around me busily, luggage in tow. Some stood by the doors smoking that last puff of cigarette. I gulped the smoky air, anxiously. It was 12:15. I couldn’t be sure, but I don’t think that gave me a whole lot a time. I gathered my things and stepped through the sliding doors. I was greeted by about a million more people swarming around in bunches. It was the first time I even had a chance to discover I was claustrophobic. I went to the closet desk were a bored looking lady with tired eyes was sitting, pulling at her frizzy hair. “Excuse me,” I mumbled my voice was pathetically small. “Could you tell me where I need to go to get to this flight?” “Terminal C, gate 133, take a left down there and follow the sign.” Her voice was nasally, just like Crazy Garcia’s and she talked to me like I was stupid. Where kids even allowed on flights by themselves? Great another thing to worry about, I thought as I slipped into a line where people were taking off their shoes and putting their bags in gray containers. Everyone looked bored and tired like they had done it a thousand times.

Answer:
Since this is my type of story, I think it has loads of potential to be a great story. It may need some adjusting here and there, using a little more detail - I said a little - and more descriptive vocabulary, but other than that, it's a great, brilliant, well thought out start to a story. Hope to see it on the shelf one day! By the way, what's the main character's name that is telling the story.

How much would it cost (20 characters)?
Question:
I'm hoping to get a horse when i turn 16 and can get a paying job, which will be in a year, so i'm preparing for that now and researching everything i can. about how much would it cost for me to keep a horse like this: "Keaton is a very sweet, handsome & easy-going gelding who loves attention. GREAT trail horse, steady, confident, and dependable. Hes good with other horses, kids, dogs, and various farm animals. Hes the healthiest and shiniest horse at the barn year-round. Parelli Trained!! He has Level 3 ground skills and Level 2 riding skills. He goes English or Western, jumps, and has been trained to be ridden with a rope halter, hackamore, snaffle bridle, and neck rope. Very good feet--hes barefoot and has never needed shoes. I regularly take him out on solo rides down a busy road, through a working gravel pit, and out on the trails. Hes confident with cars, trucks, saw-mills, tractors, etc. Safe for beginners. VIDEOS on YOU-TUBE!! Email for more pics & video links." ... if boarding was $300 a month? I understand that all horses are different and the amount of hay and feed and vet services will vary for all horses, but i'm just looking for a general estimate from people who actually own horses and know best. thanks! LopeSlow: thanks so much! don't worry, i know i didn't put much detail into that question, but i do know of all the things i will have to pay for and how much responsibility a horse is and everything, but i wanted to hear from other people about how much i would be spending, since actual horse owners know best! thanks :) there are a couple barns i'm looking at for $300 a month, and one of them includes all grain and hay. and i've looked online, and one farrier service in my area has a trim $45. and i have been riding for about 6 years and i currently lease a mare, so i do know how to care for a horse and how much work you have to put into it. thanks! PLEASE NOTE: i am not a beginner. i've been riding for about 6 years and i partial lease a horse right now. its just i can't afford my own horse until i can get a job, thats why i don't own one now.

Why is Dallas a Knock-Off of Houston?
Question:
I live in Houston, and last week we went to Dallas for the first time last week. The first Place we went to was The Galleria. is just so tacky, old, empty and ugly! In Houston, The Galleria is luxurious, classy, and elegant, and always would see cars like Bentley's, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's etc, but at The Galleria in Dallas its just like a knock off Houston Galleria! The second place we went to was The Zoo. My friends told me the Zoo is awesome! But now that Houston expanded they Zoo that's now 85 acres bigger, Dallas Zoo is just boring! Then we went to Grapevine Mills, and all I have to say is that's just a knock-off to Katy Mills! The Six Flags over Dallas is an Knock-off of Astro world! But Houston is building a new amusement park and I hope Dallas don't try to copy that. And then we went to Prosper, TX (Outside of Dallas) and saw Deion Sanders house, and they have a house AND city just like that in Houston (Cypress, TX) but Cypress is more cleaner and newer. Like come on Dallas, stop trying to be Houston!!! ONLY thing I liked about Dallas was the cowboys stadium.

Answer:
Dallas is better than Houston. It's a hell of a lot less ghetto than Houston the only nice part of Houston is the Galleria area, River Oaks, and Bellaire (20 % of Houston) the rest of Houston I would not be caught dead in (the only condition a skinny white boy could be caught there in.) Dallas has classier people, fantastic mass transit (a hell of a lot better then Houston's dinky light rail line which is expanding but they are about 20 years behind Dallas in that department), great night life, great gay nightlife and gayborhood, best shopping in the us (better than NYC its the city with the most retail space per capita in the us), houston has one mega designer clothes mall dallas has 2. And yeah Galleria Dallas is ugly but its not the largest mall in Dallas. The North Park Center is a lot bigger (2nd largest mall in texas) and its a lot nicer than Galleria Dallas. , white rock lake is a great urban park/ lake with a view of downtown dallas with ducks and stuff, zoo, aquarium, cool museums, six flags (Arlington), great restaurants, cheap housing and rent. Oh and Dallas has zoning and Houston has none! Houston's restaurants, stores, houses, and apartments are scattered..there aren't designated areas for commercial and residential buildings..like you could find a restaurant right in the middle of a residential neighborhood..
