Does my neighborhood association have the authority to tow my car in Cary, North Carolina?
Question:
In the past year, the good old neighborhood association has taken it upon it's self to designate several parking spaces as a daytime basketball court in the town home section of the neighborhood Legacy, across the road from Carpenter Village. Residents are warned they can no longer park in the formerly open spaces between the hours of 10AM and 8 PM, or they will be towed. My suspicion is that the neighborhood association has no legal authority to tow anyone's car. In fact, parking was so tough before the spaces were taken from us, I'm not even sure if the re-destination of the spaces was legal. I don't want to insinuate that a neighborhood associate controlled by wealthier stand alone home owners suck it to their less wealthy town home owning and renting neighbors, but...anyway, if anyone could educate me this and maybe cite some sources I could quote, I would appreciate it. My mother tired to talk to one of "volunteers." He was extremely rude to her. I'd live to have some words with him, and some legal jargon to throw back at whatever barely coherent screaming he has to say.

help with Mitsubishi Eclipse, urgent!!!!?
Question:
I bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse (2000/GT) and everything seemed fine with it. After I drove back from the dealership every time i break, the car made a squeaky noise. It also happened when I turned the wheels too. Then I parked my car and oil started leaking from it. I called the dealer and he told me to drive it to the dealership but the place is really far away from my house. Is it dangerous to drive the car? How much do you think it would cost to fix it? Where could I fix it? I live in Cary, North Carolina. Thank you so much.

Answer:

I am so bored with life...I don't know what to do...?
Question:
My life is so miserably pathetic its making me want to die. I'm an 18 years old, graduated from high school last year with some pretty decent grades. When I was in high school I had a bunch of cool friends, and even had a pretty hot and really sweet girlfriend. But like a dumb*** I decided to take a year off of school. All my friends went off to universities, my girlfriend and I broke up, and now I have absolutely no one. Since school started back up and everyone left, I have lost interest in pretty much everything. I have no friends, I don't know any girls at all, I have nothing. I do nothing. I go to work at pizza hut almost every day and make like a thousand freaking pizzas, then come home, eat, watch TV, get on facebook and have no new notifications, then I go to bed. Then I do it again the next day. I spend all my money on useless things to try and kill boredom, nice computer, xbox, nice TV, itouch...nothing works. I spend most nights laying in bed thinking about what a loser I am, after I finish watching porn, then I lay there till eventually drift off to sleep, which is pretty much the only time I don't feel like complete crap. It seems like the only people who are still left here are all the kids from my high school who were completely retarded and aren't doing anything with their lives. They sit at the mall all day and I feel sorry for them. I'm so bored and lonely I even tried to hang out with them a couple of times, but they make me feel so pathetic I'd rather sit alone all day. The mall is full of 14 year olds and retards from my high school, and there is NOTHING ELSE TO DO. I only have one friend but his parents think i'm a 'bad influence' so we barely hang out. Most of my friends came back for vacation and we hung out, but now they are all leaving again and its making me feel so empty and useless. Whats even more stupid is, I live with my parents still because I don't know anyone to room with, I don't have my own car (I drive my dads POS around), and I spend all my money on crap I don't even use. I applied to several colleges for next semester, but its so far away I don't know how I'll make it. I'm so tired of this useless cycle, its making me borderline suicidal and I've never thought about anything like that ever before. I thought maybe a vacation would help, and I know this girl in California that I really liked, so I flew out to visit her. Turned out to be the biggest waste of money and time in the history of...forever, and all it did was make me more depressed. I seriously hate my life. The fact that I'm even posting this shows how pathetic I am, there isn't really any advice you guys can give me that I don't already know...I'm just bored, sad, lonely, and depressed and I felt like venting. On a side note, I live in Cary North Carolina, which is like just outside of Raleigh, which is funny because theres some chick who posted a rant, essentially saying the same thing I am, and she lives in High Point NC, which is not too far away from me...North Carolina just sucks I guess...well, actually...the whole south can pretty much kiss my ***.

Answer:
If you are bored and feeling aimless, one of the best steps to take toward building confidence, become physically and mentally fit, and to develop personal discipline, is to join a branch of the military for a multi-year enlistment. If- for example- you were to consider serving in the Air Force, you would not only learn some valuable career skills, but also have the opportunity of completing an Associate’s degree with the Community College of the Air Force.. Once an AA is attained, airmen have a vast number of Bachelor’s programs open to them.. After Basic Training, you will be enrolled in a technical training program or apprenticeship to improve your skills and advance your career while earning a paycheck. A few options include apprenticeships in mechanical flight engineering, administrative training, electronics, police training, etc. Visit your local recruiting office to review all the training options available to new recruits. Both the Navy and Coast Guard also offer great training and educational opportunities. Talk with their recruitment advisors as well.

What's your opinion of this news?banning the fake testicles?
Question:
State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Reuters) - Senate lawmakers in Florida have voted to ban the fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of many trucks and cars throughout the state. Republican Sen. Cary Baker, a gun shop owner from Eustis, Florida, called the adornments offensive and proposed the ban. Motorists would be fined $60 for displaying the novelty items, which are known by brand names like "Truck Nutz" and resemble the south end of a bull moving north. The Florida Senate voted last week to add the measure to a broader transportation bill, but it is not included in the House version. ADVERTISEMENT In a spirited debate laced with double entendre, Senate lawmakers questioned whether the state should curtail freedom of expression in vehicle accessories. Critics of the ban included the Senate Rules Chairman, Sen. Jim King, a Jacksonville Republican whose truck sported a pair until his wife protested. The bill's sponsor doubted it would succeed. "It's probably not going to make it through the process," Baker said on Thursday. "It won't be much of story in a few days." http://au.news.yahoo.com/080425/15/16mc2.html

Answer:
Where does the state feel it derives the authority to limit how you use your own private property....this is just another example of how COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH government is from the actual people who live in the country. This is not the government's job....their job is to PROTECT RIGHTS, not take them away. If a govt. can tell you 'no balls' - what's next? no debate, no dissent. You cannot legislate taste (aka someone who likes something you don't) because that will forever and for always infringe upon the FIRST (for a reason) amendment. Just cuz someone feels offended does not mean we write a new law.

What do you think of the attempted ban on Truck Nutz?

Answer:
It's like having a bumper sticker. If you can prove they are unsafe for the road, though, you have a legit cause. Saying they are offensive and should be illegal is like saying any type of speech SOMEONE thinks is offensive and should be illegal. I personally don't like them at all, but then I haven't seem any of them around in LA.
