how long of a car drive is it from utica new york, to kissimmee florida?
Question:
my mom and i are planning to drive to kissimmee florida from utica new york

Answer:
first - my condolences about living in utica. i did it for a year. it really depends on which route you take, as well as weather and traffic. you are looking at at least a 20 hour straight drive with only gas, bathroom, and quick eat breaks.

new driver- car insurance?
Question:
i just got anew car, hydauni elantra 06, and i need insurance, wats the cheapest insurance for a 19 yr old girl,no driving record, tickets etc in the rome/utica area? thanksssss

Answer:
The reason no one an give you an exact dollar figure amount for the cheapest car insurance is because the cheapest rates will depend on many factors. The type of car you drive, age, driving history, your zip code, if you have taken any defensive driving classes, etc. Head's up though, teenage car insurance may not be cheap. But the previous answers are correct in saying that you should shop around and enter YOUR information to at least 3 or 4 different insurance companies. This is the best way to find the cheapest car insurance offer for you. An even better way to do this is to use a car insurance portal which allows you to enter your information once and search rates from multiple companies simultaneously. I referenced an article below that should give you some tips on how to get affordable car insurance that applies to most states as well. Hope this helps!

1st Timer vacationing across NY and New England. What places/food do you consider to be "Don't Miss This"?
Question:
Flying R/T to Syracuse. Renting a car -1600 miles in 10 days. Key goals - Fall foliage peeping, Green and White Mtns, visiting antique shops and hoping to find antique days or auctions in the area. Also love touring historic homes - Samuel Clemons, Eastman, etc., local foods 1st night - Syracuse Day 2 - Drive to Utica, then heading N. thru the Adirondacks to Lake Placid for one night. Day 3 - Head N, crossing Lake Champlain into VT. Have yet to select our route to our lodge in Fairlee (2 nights). Thinking about Shelburne Museum and Quechee Gorge. Day 4 - Day trip VT/NH and back to Fairlee. Possible trip to apple orchard outside Concord, NH. Day 5 - N. on E or W of CT River, heading to Whitehead and 1 night in B & B. Day 6 - E. to Bangor/Ellsworth - 1 night. Bar Harbor? Day 7 - S. along coast to Portland - 1 night Day 8 - S. to Boston w/night in Worcester - Higgins Armory? Day 9 - Thru RI to Mystic, CT 1 night, Windsor Locks. Day 10 - Head to Syracuse Day 11 - Fly Ideas?

Answer:
In NH you should try and get to Canterbury Village outside of Concord/Belmont. It is an Original Shaker Village with all the buildings and tours. It might only be open weekends now but worth the trip. Castle In The Clouds in Moultonborough,NH is a home built by a very rich/eccentric man back in the early 1900's and is on top of a Mt with panoramic views of Lake Winnipeasaukee. Beautiful in the fall.. Antique shops abound everywhere. RT 1 on the Seacoast of NH/Maine is a great road for this. In Vt, try and get to Stowe home of the VonTrapp family/Sound of Music.

Little Italy from New Jersey?
Question:
My fiancee and I are just taking a simple roadtrip for our honeymoon. We're coming from upstate, NY (Utica area) and decided we want to stop by Little Italy for a day. I haven't been since I was a kid and was wondering if I could get some advice. We're driving our car and don't want to drive into Manhattan so our plan is to stay in Jersey (Jersey City or Newport) and take the PATH train over to Manhattan. What's the closest hotel to the PATH station, where it would be most convenient to get in and out of? Thank you kindly.

Answer:
There are a few hotels by Newport (Courtyard and Comfort Suites) and also a hotel by Exchange Place (Hyatt). They are pricey based on their location.

I'm Moving and need to now how my budget has changed?
Question:
Read CAREFULLY! I'm from new york but i live in north carolina. I'm moving back to utica, new york. My rent there is $525.00 a month for a 2bdrm townhouse compared to my 750 a month for a 1 bdrm apartment. So far i spend $2200 a months because of my budget : car insurance $110.00 a month electric and heating: $150.00 a month Food:$500.00 Water:$90.00 Cable and computer:$150.00 Rent:$750 a month Beauty:$450.00 a month But where i'm moving to i have the option rent to own. I like the area but i want to know is it going to be less? I lived in new york for 15 years before i moved i always heard that utica was dirt cheap and a good place to live. To rent a 1 bdrm apt. is $99-$325 a month. The only thing good about this is i don't have to pay for water only electric and heating. The beauty shops and nail salons up there are cheaper. I have a vip card for the grocerey store up there. So how much will my budget change?

Answer:
You should reduce your budget by 1/3.............you must live a intresting life..........

Am I weird? For Ladies and Guys too I guess. 17 y.o.?
Question:
I'm 17 I get crushes on girls so easily.. For instance if I'm standing on the lunch line and there is a girl who we keep looking at each other then looking away when we both look at each other and she's decent like I won't say anything to her... I'll just keep doing it. I'll develop a crush on this girl and keep this eye thing going for a few days till I see her with a boyfriend or talking to a dude like that and then I'll know I can't get her or she already likes someone. Then it'll happen with a girl in my class or on the train.. I don't think I've ever liked a girl because of her personality, partly because I've never been too close to a girl like that. I was close with one and her personality totally turned me off, and the same thing I saw her with some guy and the way she looks at him and it turns out they were just best friends.. I feel weird because, I'm extremely shy if I don't know you, I've kinda adapted a thing where if I don't know you to me it's kinda I make it seem you don't exist to me, I don't mean it it's just a habit...I live in NY, so I guess it's not that weird here. The other part of it is I get compliments from everyone on what I where and stuff like girls touch my hair when I get a new haircut and stuff, but I've never had a girlfriend, so I kinda have a feeling people think I'm gay.. but I'm definitely not. I don't dress like someone who's gay I just dress clean and match my shirts with my sneakers.. I collect nike's so.. what I wear always goes with my shoes. I'm a senior in high school and I feel like a loser :[ Also there's a new girl on my the train I go to and we sit near each other and we both get off at the same stop at Utica Ave every day and we're always in the front car and I want to say something to her soo bad, but it kills me I don't want to be rejected, but I know in a few years I'll regret it so much. I also don't know if she has a boyfriend and I don't wanna seem like a creep :[[

Answer:
Why dont you ask her something indirect so its not like youre hitting on her . That way, you can strike up a conversation without worrying about rejection. After youve spoken to her once, you will have a reason to talk to her again the next time you see her.

UPSTATE NY....First time I'm driving 7 hours away ?
Question:
Ok i live in the borough of staten island in new york city. My dearest aunt lives all the way upstate in a little town named Inlet NY, so the closest big city is 2 hours away in Utica. Anyway, In July I have to drive up there and she said it takes about 6 -7 hours. O.k. any suggestions or advice on how to have a smooth and safe not scary or complicated long drive there, this will be my first time driving myself to this far location. I do have a GPS and I know to check my car at a mechanic before I go. I definitely always drive cautiously, If you are familiar with this are do you think it will be ok if I leave my home after work at 5 p.m. and then travel since in a few hours it will be nighttime or should I wait til morning and leave at like 5-6a.m. Please any advice or suggestions thanks : )

Answer:
that is my childhood backyard--i grew up in utica and went to old forge often....you have absolutley nothing to worry about, that drive is entirely along major highways... 1. take thje I-87 north from NYC to I-90 in albany all the way to utica and then take route 28 north to inlet--i am very familar with this route and it is smooth sailing the entire way--this whoile trip is about 320 miles and 6 hours or so sounds abnout right
