But I have an Indian license to drive a light motor vehicle (moped) upto 50 cc. Can I use that same license to drive here? I heard that the rules for the driving license for bikes/ mopeds are different. I would really like to have a means of transportation to visit this beautiful country. To drive another moped? Sure, if it's in ENGLISH. If it's NOT in English, then you'll ALSO need an international driving license. But you can't use a moped license to drive a car.

Hey i'm 14 and a boy( please ignore the fact that my email says Monica Richmond. It's my sisters old email) So, I've been living in Schenectady county in new York for my entire life. My parents are from Melrose, Massachusetts and they grew up there. Since my dad became a U.S. Marshall he was told he had to work in new York so we moved to Niskayuna. My parents have been living here longer then they lived in melrose. Now the problem is, we're moving. My parents are so excited. They bought an East Lake Victorian mansion in Melrose and our house Is scheduled to go on the market in April. Don't get me wrong I am so excited to be living close to my family finally! (the trip from here to there is 4 hours and all my family Lives there) but the idea scares me. I have to leave behind everybody and everything I know about my environment and get used to a new one. Niskayuna Is all I know. I have so many great memories like running around the park behind my yard, and eating Popsicles on summer evenings, and waking up and seeing presents on Christmas morning. How can I leave behind everything I know? The thought of getting in a car and driving down the street, knowing that I will never see my childhood again. It's makes panic, and I have to calm myself down. What should I do? I can probably name two streets in this new town in moving to. Help :(

Hey dude. I grew up in Melrose!!! And I have family who lives near Schenectady. Melrose is a great little city, and it's nice and close to Boston, which is a really fun city to hang out in. I assume you'll go to Melrose High School...it's not the best in the world, so try to maybe check out a private school (if you can afford to). The people in Melrose are nice, and there is a lot to do. The Melrose Commons (it's a park) is a place where a lot of teens hang out, and there's a little store there that sells snacks, ice cream, drinks, candy, etc. Main Street is full of little restaurants....there are a TON of pizza places. My personal favorite is Melrose House of Pizza (the people who work there are really nice, too!). I think you'll adjust just fine to Melrose.... As for the moving part of it....one of my favorite quotes is "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." Look back on your memories from Niskayuna with joy! You seem to love it there, so you will have many fond memories of it. Plus, with technology these days, you can easily keep in touch with all of your friends! Moving is definitely hard at first, but it helps to look at it as an adventure. You're not alone; your family will be with you, and they are probably feeling similar about moving. Talk to them! Trust me, it helps. Hang pictures from your childhood in Schenectady in your new house. Most importantly, though, don't get caught up in missing your old life. Sure, your old life sounds fine, but there are so many opportunities that come with moving. You can start over; absolutely nobody knows who you are, so you can be whoever you want to be without people judging. Like I said before, Melrose is super close to Boston. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO IN BOSTON. Go to The Museum of Science, take a Duck Tour, eat at Faneuil Hall, shop in Harvard Square, take the subway to anywhere, go to the beach, learn to sail, etc. etc. Stay positive. The way you look at this new experience is everything. If you go in with a negative attitude, chances are, you'll find a way to make it a negative experience. BUT! If you go with a positive attitude, and if you take everything in stride, chances are, you will make the best out of it! I know you will miss everything from Niskayuna, but now you'll get to forge new memories and make new friends! Now go, move to Melrose, and get ready to start a great new life. :D
