Are you happy that New York has outlawed criticism of bin Laden?
Question:
This week's sign of the apocalypse... from USA Today New York. Arno Herwerth, 42, filed a complaint in federal court in November to bar the DMV from revoking his plate that reads GETOSAMA, referring to al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The DMV told Herwerth in a letter that state regulations prohibit license plate messages that are "obscene, lewd, lascivious, derogatory to a particular ethnic group or patently offensive." "For me, it's also my right to be patriotic," says Herwerth, a retired police officer from Hauppauge, N.Y., who says he was so shaken by the 9/11 terrorist attacks that he has driven a red, white and blue car ever since. "I think it would only be offensive to members of al-Qaeda, so I really didn't get why they banned it."

Answer:
I'm so happy I live in the regressive, backwards ignorant South......I have neither the radicalism of Madison Wisconsin, the air headedness of San Francisco, NOR the abject treason of New York to worry about. Just me, my hound dog and my trusty 12 gauge......just in case.
