How would you get from new york to minnesota by train or car?
Question:
i'm trying to get to my cuzinz place from new york glen cove. an i need to kno how to get there by either train or taxi. i can't havemy parents drive me for reasons. if i were to take a taxi how would tht work out or wat would i do ??? how would i take a train ????? this is rlly important an legit my life depends on it

Answer:
taxis don't go across states, your only real options are a Greyhound bus or an Amtrak train. go to their websites and find out the closest stations to where you are now, as well as your destination. figure out which one will take you closer to where you need to go, then buy a ticket. word of advice, they usually don't allow kids to travel alone without consent from parents.

Urban Legends, Mysteries, and Hauntings on Long Island?
Question:
I was wondering if anyone knew the Nassau area on Long Island in particular. I heard of The Woolworth Mansion/ Winifield Hall in Glen Cove. I was wondering if anyone knew of anymore stories. I heard something like somewhere in Bayville or Oyster Bay that if you stop in the middle of this bridge or road and turn your car off your car starts rolling by itself. Thanks in advance!!

Answer:
Long Island Gothic covers a large number of these stories: Mary of Sweet Hollow Road The Haunting of the Stony Brook Grist Mill The Old Man With the Basket Of Human Heads The Coyler House The Peace and Plenty Inn The Mothman of Mount Misery Winifield Hall (as you mentioned) Harbor Entrance to Ferguson Castle Henry Lloyd Manor House The Country House Restaurant King's Park Psychiatric Center And of course, Sleepy Hollow

i need to rent a car..?
Question:
i am going on vacation to glen cove, new york (nassau county, long island) and need to rent a car for the weekend that i am there). i have two major things working against me. i do not have a credit card, just debit and i am under 25 (i am 24). i don't know what to do. i have called enterprise, and avis and ab cant really think of any other local places. i can rent from the LGA enterprise but it will cost me 500 and i think that is pathetic....please helpppppp i am glad i started to look into this now and didn't wait until the last minute..i have a month to figure this out!

Answer:
Then I'd suggest you get a credit card with a high limit now so you'll have it in a month when you'll need it. If you use a debit card they will put a freeze on your funds, and turn you down if you don't have enough cash in the bank.

No collision insurance I was in an accident. Please help !!!?
Question:
I was in a car accident. The police report has already been filed. The fault was 90% his and 10% mine. He was driving in the oncoming lane (the wrong lane he should have been in) and went through an intersection, where i was turning left. The report says i didnt yield. I did stop at the intersection and I didnt see a car coming because there was no car in the oncoming lane. The car was in the wrong lane thinking it was in the correct oncoming lane. My car has over 9,000 dollars of damage and I do not have collision insurance. I filed a claim with his insurance company today. They now have to get a statement from the other party. They also need to the police report, before they can make a final judgement regarding my compensation, if any. My question is, should I go ahead an talk to an attorney about this matter. If so, what type of attorney would deal with this. I would also appreciate help and or advice to assist me in my claim so that I may receive compensation for the damages. But mainly, what type of attorney should I talk to. I live in glen cove, long island, ny. just in case anyone knows an attorney in this area. Thank you very much everyone.

Answer:
An attorney is not going to help you, that is, unless you are willing to pay up front for his services. But something tells me you aren't, considering you don't even have the proper coverage on your vehicle. If you have no collision, and the other insurance company is just starting their investigation - how do you know the percentage of fault?

Answer:
New York State law prohibits rental car companies from not renting to licensed drivers who are over 18 and it also prohibits rental car companies from requiring that the renter have a major credit card That's the good news The bad news is that they are allowed to charge drivers under 25 more and there will be process by the rental company to verify that you have the financial wherewithal to rent their vehicle http://www.newyork.bbb.org/SitePage.aspx?site=24&id=267d b3cc-7867-4837-9b41-7b3cb5ee116a Your best place rent any vehicle is not at the airport The drawbacks are that local locations have limited hours limited vehicles and they're always closed on sunday ..still
