I would encourage you to find a local independent mechanic or garage. One that has been in business for many years. These are the guys that are reliable in my estimation. Ask a neighbor or friend for a suggestion. ~

Is the Auburn vs. Alabama rivalry that intense?
Question:
I am a huge Auburn fan but im from New Hampshie so I dont know that much about the rivalry in the state. My friends family moved to Hoover so that he could play football. They just moved there like 2 weeks ago and he called me and told me that someone bashed his car and slit his tires and I asked him why and it was his neighbor because he said that hes an Auburn fan. Is all of Alabama like this? Are most people from Hoover AL, Alabama fans? And is the rivalry that intense?

Answer:
Extraordinarily intense. It's the forces of goodness and light against the forces of evil and darkness. However, very few tire slashings. Just remember this. Auburn fans are typically better educated and have more class. Meanwhile, most Alabama fans are a bunch of stump-neck, gap-tooth, knuckle-dragging, polyester-wearing, stoop-gait, biscuit-eating, book-burning, cousin-kissing, backwoods lackwits. I'm glad I could clear up the distinction.

Chapter One of new book? Edit por favor?
Question:
Chapter One Cheston Cooper Cheston Cooper fished around in his pockets for the keys to the bright red Ferrari. He locked the car twice, just to make sure it was safe. It wasn’t his--he had borrowed it from a friend. He couldn’t afford to pick up a girl or even drive around downtown with his old beat-up Ford pickup truck. It looked like something off the top of a dumpster. Considering it had only cost him six hundred dollars, it probably was something off the top of a dumpster. Cheston walked towards the cinema, checking behind his shoulder every five seconds as though the Ferrari might disappear in the blink of an eye. Cheston walked into the cinema and found the ticket booth. He purchased two tickets to a new romance movie called “The Factor Called Love.” /All the chicks love it. It’s got that dude in it, uh, that one actor... yeah, she’s definitely gonna like it./ ‘She’ being his date for the night. ‘She’ being Delilah Carrick. Ah, there she was. He was moderately impressed by her car. Considering she lived in that dinky little town, Musgrave, she drove a decent car. Lexus IS convertible. Looked pretty new, too. Cheston grinned, remembering: /She’s like, loaded, isn’t she? Her parents rich or something?/ He watched Delilah get out of the car and lock her car. He chuckled, thinking to himself about how she must be nervous, coming downtown to the city after being that little town, Musgrave. He had to hold back a whistle. She was hot. Smoking hot. Just as good-looking as he was. She was dressed a little modestly, though--a soft turtleneck sweater in either a dark green or blue (he couldn’t tell), and long pencil-leg jeans and leather boots. He was slightly disappointed at the modesty, but the turtleneck was clingy enough that he still got a great silhouette. /Oh yeah. She’s my type./ He flashed a grin at her that he knew all the ladies fell for. Cheston couldn’t help it. He was a lady’s man. A lady-killer. Women always fell for him. Cheston grinned again. Delilah’s eyes were a dark brown, with flecks of gold, and her perfect smile seemed to light up her smooth and pale complexion. She tugged absently at a strand of her long, dark auburn hair. Probably flirting. And who wouldn’t want to flirt with him? She wasn’t the first to fall for Cheston, and she wouldn’t be the last. Cheston slipped his arm around her waist. He loved the jealous looks on the men around them in the ticket area of the cinema, jealous looks from every man, even the ones with girlfriends. She had to be falling by now. “Ferrari’s mine, by the way,” he said, motioning towards the lot. Delilah turned and nodded. “I figured,” she said, and Cheston smiled. /Oh, she’s trying to act smart. Like she already knew something about me. That’s cute./ He handed her her ticket. “One ticket to ‘The Factor Called Love,’ yours truly.” She half-smiled and said, “Thanks.” They walked over to the concession stand and she only wanted a bottle of water. Which was great for Cheston. He secured his grip around her waist and led her into the theater. /She’s definitely falling./ So, is this any good? Please edit and all that good stuff or else it won't get any better! :0 Btw-- the stuff in between the slash marks are thoughts. I don't have italics here...

Answer:
That is REALLY good! If this were published in bookstores, I would go buy. I also like the name Cheston. It's really original.

The new 'thug finder' used by ATL police is racist, right?
Question:
http://www.wsbtv.com/news/22319514/detail.html New 'Thug' Finder Device Makes Debut In Georgia Posted: 9:39 pm EST January 22, 2010 Updated: 12:24 am EST January 23, 2010 BARROW COUNTY, Ga. -- Police officers now have a new tool for use in their daily efforts to fight crime. The “Thug FindIR,” created by a local company with a former DeKalb County police officer at the helm, uses thermal imagery and infrared technology to help police officers detect what the naked eye can’t see. “You can literally use it like a periscope,” said David Ratliff of Integrated Technology Systems. Channel 2 Action News reporter Tony Thomas got an exclusive look at the new device. In addition to tracking criminals, authorities said the small device will help find missing children, injured people and Alzheimer’s patients too. The first unit went into service Friday in at the Auburn Police Department in Barrow County, with the second unit headed for Lawrenceville. “It doesn't do anyone any good if a SWAT truck you need is an hour away from a scene. I need it right then, when I need it,” said company CEO Greg Davis. Although the technology has been around for years, the cost could total in the tens of thousands of dollars. However the “Thug FindIR” costs under $5,000 and its creators hope police departments across Georgia will buy them for every squad car. “I wish I could buy one for everyone of my officers,” said Auburn Police Chief Fred Brown.

New front brakes New passenger side wheel bearings New Trans fluid and Filter New rear Diff. Fluid New High pressure fuel lines & Filter Drop in bed liner Diamond plate Bed rail caps(spraypainted black...) The truck has steel wheels on it right now with decent tires, it also includes a spare as well as an extra set of Aluminum wheels with 31" mudders. The aluminum wheels are decent but the tires are pretty well shot, they have good tread but are pretty dry rotted and I know one does not hold air well. The Paint job is 100% crappy red spraypaint, but it gets the job done. The body does have some rust mainly in the wheel wells and @ the cab corners, but hey, its a cheap old truck with 183k.....its not perfect. It runs great and the truck has made MANY trips to Auburn and to Warsaw with no problems. It makes for a great work truck or mud toy! Truck hauls well, I recently hauled 1800lbs of sand with no problems, bed has some rust on the exterior but overall the inside is clean and solid. I love my truck and am sad to see it go but...it needs to, I have more important things to worry about (and pay for!) I am motivated and would love to see it gone fast!!! (like the band-aid thing!) '99 Saab 9-3 shakes even worse now with new tires?
Question:
After hitting an eroded road apron at aprox 20mph in November I soonafter noticed my car wasn't steering as well nor as tightly. My mechanic mentioned it needing new tires all around and so I went in and bought 4 new tires along with a balance ($390.75 total). Upon picking up the car from the tire store the shaking was HORRID. I couldn't even go 45 on the highway without thinking a tire was going to fall off. Naturally, I went back and they said it needed to be aligned. So, I got it aligned and while they were aligning it they assessed the car and claimed it was bent rims (slightly bent all around). I went to the Saab dismantlers and bought two used but true rims and had the "best" of the four put on the front. The shaking in the steering wheel, seat, and all over continues now at 45mp and is worst at 65mph+. Can someone suggest what in the heck I do? And where a young single woman should go to get a decent front-end shop near Auburn, CA? My sincerest thanks to your suggestions... :)

Answer:
Could be several things. bent rim worn out tie rods worn out ball joints worn out shocks bent upper or lower arms Let a couple of different places check it out if you don't really trust the one you already talked to.

Upside down car tags.?
Question:
Okay, so my hubby is an Alabama fan, and I am an Auburn fan. We have been seeing a lot of cars with Auburn tags on them upside down. Recently he saw a Tennessee sticker on a truck with an Alabama tag, but the TN sticker was upside down. Is this the 'new' thing to do to your rivals or what?

Answer:
No it's not a new thing, Sooner fans have been putting the Longhorn Upside down for awhile now, at least I seen it a few times.
