Does Roswell sound like a girls name or a boys name? Question: I choose the name for one of my main female characters. I know she is commonly called Rozzie, but to of my other characters only call her Roswell or Miss Dereks. Roswell actually named herself after being in a car accident and waking up with amnesia in Roswell, New Mexico. Should I keep it or change it to a more girlish name. Answer: An author should keep in mind the difference between creativity and being kre8tiv. Be as cute/original/creative as you like but remember that you can lose your audience if you go too far. It's difficult to remain interested in a character if the name is blatantly outlandish. The readers tend to focus on the name instead of the story. That said, I think you've found a good hook for your character. In real life, I would be dismissive of anyone named for a geopolitical location. For the sake of a story line and this character, I find it intriguing without being ridiculous. As long as you explain the name (once and very briefly!), I think readers would accept the name quite well. It's not completely off the wall, has a reasonable explanation, and sounds interesting. And, with the nn Rozzie, it is quite acceptable for a female character. Yes, it could be masculine but I think it suits a female character better. |

Answer: You can drive there in about 3 hours and 15 minutes if the traffic is moving. I like to allow extra time in case of road work, accidents, or heavy traffic. Good luck! |

Where can I find an MECP certified car audio installer in Alpharetta/Roswell, GA? Question: I just bought a 2005 Pontiac GTO. I have the completed sound system from my old car and just need it professionally installed into my new ride. I am looking for stealth, and sound quality, nothing flashy. I have MB Quart Q-series components, a JL Audio 10W7 sub, two JL Audio amps, and an Alpine 9855 head unit. I also have a bulk kit of Dynamat Xtreme that I need installed into my trunk and doors. I will not use HiFi Buys in Roswell due to a bad experience with them. I am now considering other options, and hopefully someone on here can refer me to a high-quality, reputable shop with plenty of references. I would prefer not to drive all the way to Marietta, Lawrenceville, etc. It is not a requirement, but someone with experience on the 2004-2006 GTO will be helpful. Answer: Hello. I cant completely answer your question, but maybe I can help. I dont believe in "big-box" car audio companies. Support your independent, local shops. Also remember that just because someone has a piece of paper saying that they know something, isnt always the best way. I am not MECP cert, but only because I dont make any more money to get the paper. However, I do have 16 years of professional experience that speaks for itself. Just dont think that book knowledge makes one the best choice over another. Look at some demo cars and other installs. Again, support the individually owned shops. Area 51, Roswell Question..... read this!!!? Question: What does everyone think honestly of this place? I personally dont believe in any "alien" life forms or anything of that sort, No other life sources..(except Chuck Norris of course..) :D I think It is used as a high tech place to test out new vehicles,space shuttles, cars, exc.. anyone elses opinion? Good or bad tell me whats really on your mind.. 10 points to who has the best.. Mr Smith~ Answer: OK, first off. There is a Area 51. Its been leaking out for years. We have even seen pictures of it on satellite imagery. The gov has caught therefore it is just a base now. Its significance is a shadow of what it used to be. So many people know about it. I believe its just a decoy for the new AREA 51. Back in the day lots went on there. Lots of tests pilots went in and never came out. It was a spot where we could test planes in the middle of no where, without having the civilian eyes saying they seen a space ship. Who knows can you really disbelieve there has not been alien material or life that have came in and out of area 51? You will never know until you are there. Then it wouldn't matter because no one will know you have ever been there :) |

Wanting to try something new so i'm thinking about relocating to Georgia? Question: I'm a single mother of a one year old boy i dont have a car or a job lined up or family members that live out there but i will like to no the best areas to raise a child , I was told Roswell An Smyra are great but i need something along the bus or train line .. i also dont want an apartment i will prefer to rent a town house or something some info will be greatly appreciated Answer: Nicole, Please think this through before you move. I don't want to discourage you -- but it's important to go into this with your eyes open -- AND money in your pocket. Be prepared to support yourself with savings for maybe a year -- especially with the current rocky economy. When I moved here years ago, it took me a lot longer to secure employment than I ever expected. I went through money, quickly. I lived in both Roswell, then Smyrna. They're great areas -- but sadly, you're somewhat stuck without a car. They both have bus lines, but you'll need to travel to the supermarket, your son's daycare center -- places that may not be accessible by public transportation. If you have savings to keep you going and to purchase a car, then give it a go. I moved here as a single mom cause I thought it would be a great place to raise a child ... and it indeed has been. Will muggles ever find out that there's a secret magical society of witches and wizards living among them? Question: So it was my sons first day at school today, he left this morning to catch the Hogwarts express to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, I took my flying car back home, and I really started to wonder whether muggles ever suspect anything, or if some of them even already know about us. I mean some of them must suspect something, like that flying vehicle that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947, how did the muggles try to explain that? And what about all those wizards who have tried to reveal our secret to muggles using magic in front of them, like that guy called Jesus? I heard that some muggles even use some of our potions and call them "drugs" or something. So do you think muggles will ever find out about us, or will it remain a secret? Answer: I read the Harry Potter series but never believed it was real... until now! Have you met him? |

Is it possible to tell the future in dreams? Question: Okay I know I sound crazy.. And most of you won't believe me but I can see the future in my dreams.. For instance.. The first time my aunt in my dream was pregnant and I was the only one that knew and in reality two weeks later she called and told me she was pregnant.. So i just thought it was a coincedence..A couple of months after that I had a dream that a Michael was injured really badly.. Well I know alot of michaels my 3 year old brothers name is michael and two weeks after that dream my brother had gotten 2nd degree burns at a daycare you can google it of you don't believe me it was on the news in Roswell new Mexico.. Well thar made me wonder.. And not to long ago I had a dream that I was driving in the passenger seat with an unknown driver and he arrows on the brakes at a stoplight but he kept going and hit the back of a car well last night that happened.. So it just made me wonder... I'm probably just imagining stuff but I swear this is true.. Answer: No - sometimes our intuitive function will work in dreams and the dream will speculate about the future. |

Good idea (for my novel) so far? Question: Its set in a sort of near future. Cash and coins are defunct, gone. All money is done via digital transfers via a bar code on the wrist. Also this barcode is used to access your car, enter buildings etc. The government is known as the New Order (Shortened from the idea of the 'New World Order') and the Federal Police is the LEA of the New Order, a man named Kyle Roswell is wanted by the New Order under counts of treason as he is a former member of a gang known as the Guardians (Sometimes their full name in known as the the Guardians of the Republic, Guardians of the Old Order, etc. But since their intention has grown to killing civillians, they have since abandoned these full names and are simply known as the Guardians) as well as he is wanted by the Guardians themselves. The story is about Kyle's fight against the Feds and the Guardians, as he tries to overthrow both of them and ultimately create justice. The story follows kind of a robin hood theme ie. steal from the rich give to the poor. There is one thing I am stuck on however. How to name the "areas" Either City State Area District Zone Any ideas you have? (And if you get confused I mean like City 4, or Zone 4, etc.) Answer: This sounds very good! Would love to read more~ But to your question, I think District would sound better! Sounds more futuristic and really like something that a corrupted government would call it's cities.
