Best way to ship out two large pieces of Cat Furniture from New York City to Westfield, MA?
Question:
I bought two very large cat trees and need to send them to Westfield, MA from New York City. The are between 35 and 50 pound each. I bought them in NYC where I live. I got them from TJ Maxx for about $80 each. Of course they are worth much more if I bought them elsewhere.I don't drive a car and I am wondering if UPS orFed Ex, or, any other method of shipping them is very expensive. Does anyone have any idea how I can ship these at a reasonable price. I know, I should have thought of this way before buying them. Thanks for any information about this...

Euston Underground to Shepherds Bush Underground help?
Question:
I'm planning on going to London for the weekend in the next few weeks, problem is i'm not really used to the Underground, when i've gone in the past i've been with a family member who live's in London, this time it's just me and a friend. I'm getting there via virgin train to Euston Railway Station and my friend who will be there already on a buisiness trip is meeting me there, but we're not sure whether to take Euston Underground to Shepherd's Bush (which i think is a few change's) to the new Westfield shopping centre or to just drive there in my friend's car, which is a very simple route from Euston, we've checked. (We would have to leave the car at Euston car park or Westfield car park and then go get it and drive to my family member's house in South London) Does anyone know which way will be quicker? via Underground or by car? Is the Underground packed on a Saturday morning? And is it a simple few change's? Thanks.

Answer:
I think what's more important is how much it's going to cost to park your friend's car ... here are the charges for the Westfield car park http://uk.westfield.com/london/getting-there/car-park-rates/ ... but I can't find the charges for the underground car park at Euston rail station, maybe you should ring the company who operates this car park, APCOA, on 0845 077 4224 ... my guess is that Westfield is going to be cheaper so I'd go with driving there as the cost is going to be far more important than how long it takes to get there

JAVA Parallel array help, 10 points!!!?
Question:
Okay so I am trying to write a Java code to sort parallel arrays, then do some stuff with them, can someone please make me some code on how to sort this stuff in accordance to how this code is setup, ignore the classes of case1, 2, 3, 4, that is where the programming starts. Just write the code on how to sort these things, the names go in alphabetical order(I already did this in public sort), then the rest should stay with the names(Thus the parallel arrays). Please help! import BreezyGUI.*; import java.text.*; import java.io.*; import java.util.*; public class project1 { public static void main(String[]args) { System.out.println("Welcome to the FBI Secret Undercover Database."); String[] name = new String [10]; //start of names name[0] = "Bowman"; name[1] = "Walker"; name[2] = "Christian"; name[3] = "Edwards"; name[4] = "Cummings"; name[5] = "Halpern"; name[6] = "Scott"; name[7] = "Rhineheart"; name[8] = "Haley"; name[9] = "Brooks"; String[] address = new String [10]; //start of addresses address[0] = "Canaan"; address[1] = "Newark"; address[2] = "Hardwick"; address[3] = "Montgomery"; address[4] = "Trenton"; address[5] = "Liverpool"; address[6] = "Sheridan"; address[7] = "Houston"; address[8] = "Westfield"; address[9] = "Syosset"; String[] state = new String [10]; //start of states state[0] = "CT"; state[1] = "NJ"; state[2] = "VT"; state[3] = "AL"; state[4] = "NJ"; state[5] = "NY"; state[6] = "WY"; state[7] = "TX"; state[8] = "NJ"; state[9] = "NY"; int[] age = new int [10]; //start of ages age[0] = 48; age[1] = 39; age[2] = 46; age[3] = 71; age[4] = 31; age[5] = 38; age[6] = 51; age[7] = 62; age[8] = 22; age[9] = 32; char[] sex = new char [10]; //start of genders sex[0] = 'M'; sex[1] = 'F'; sex[2] = 'M'; sex[3] = 'M'; sex[4] = 'M'; sex[5] = 'F'; sex[6] = 'M'; sex[7] = 'F'; sex[8] = 'F'; sex[9] = 'M'; int[] salary = new int [10]; //start of salaries salary[0] = 18000; salary[1] = 27000; salary[2] = 59000; salary[3] = 78000; salary[4] = 25000; salary[5] = 45000; salary[6] = 19000; salary[7] = 91000; salary[8] = 33000; salary[9] = 40000; int[] save = new int [10]; //start of savings save[0] = 4200; save[1] = 3600; save[2] = 1900; save[3] = 500; save[4] = 7800; save[5] = 12000; save[6] = 400; save[7] = 53200; save[8] = 4700; save[9] = 3900; String[] car = new String [10]; //start of cars car[0] = "KIA"; car[1] = "Jag"; car[2] = "Vet"; car[3] = "Mustang"; car[4] = "Ford"; car[5] = "Chev"; car[6] = "Ford"; car[7] = "Caddy"; car[8] = "Honda"; car[9] = "Ford"; int[] year = new int [10]; //start of the year the cars were made year[0] = 2010; year[1] = 2005; year[2] = 2009; year[3] = 1969; year[4] = 2004; year[5] = 2011; year[6] = 2006; year[7] = 2005; year[8] = 2008; year[9] = 2004; sort(name); } public static void case1() //CASE 1 INSPECTOR HOLMES { } public static void case2() //CASE 2 INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU { } public static void case3() //CASE 3 INSPECTOR SIMON { } public static void case4() //CASE 4 PINK PANTHER { } public static void sort(String[] x)//sorts names { int i, j; String temp; for(i = 0; i 0) { temp = x[i]; x[i] = x[j]; x[j] = temp; } } } } }

Answer:
Yes, There is an easier way. DO NOT USE PARALLEL ARRAYS. Parallel arrays are what people used way back in the dark ages before object oriented programming. There is almost never a good reason to use them today, in an OO language like Java. What you have there is a class. It has properties: name, address, state, age, sex, salary, save, car and year. Create an object with those properties, and get/set/constructor methods as needed. Then, create an array (or a List would be better) of those objects and sort that. And...you really don't need to write sort routines today. Every modern language comes with sort built in, and it's gonna be a much better sort algorithm than your bubble sort. Nobody bubble sorts, unless it's a homework assignment. Learn how to use comparator's and comparable in Java. Then the language will sort for you.

Weekend Car To Replace My MGF?
Question:
Hi all, I'm selling my 1998 MGF, it's been a great car, but a new company car means that it's no longer needed as a daily hack. Anyone got any ideas what I should get as a weekend car? I have about £8k (£5k in savings on top of about £3k for the MGF sale.) I want something thats a bit special, reliability and comfort aren't really issues as it's a weekend toy, although it does still need to be able to be used in wet weather (hence a westfield is out the window!). Was thinking about a cobra replica but 8k seems to be a bit light for one with a V8. Any ideas people? Cheers

I don't want a driver's license. Will that hurt my chances of getting a wife?
Question:
Please read the details all the way through. The more details you use in your answer, the more you will help me. I plan on moving to a walkable, affluent NYC suburb, like maybe one in Westchester or Nassau County, New York or Bergen or Union County, New Jersey. It would maybe be one about 20 or 30 miles from Midtown, and I don't plan on getting a driver's license, because I want to live car free. We all know how much you'd save if you live car free in the city proper, and you'd also save considerably in the suburbs as well. But, women these days prefer the traditional American way of transporting themselves. They believe it's too much inconvenience to go like, half of a mile with their legs and not a 3,000 pound scrap of metal that does it for them. According to Time Magazine, 44% of people living in American households can't go anywhere without a car, and I mean ANYWHERE. Men are more against that than women are. Also, Allstate believed American drivers are much worse than they think they are, and they're right. They took a nationwide poll in regard to that. About 90% of the respondents claimed they were a good driver, even though 2 out of every 5 of them admit to doing more than 20 miles over the limit habitually. And that's not the worst it gets. 15% of drivers in that survey ADMIT to driving drunk, which means everybody in that 15% were supposed to go to jail for that! Morons and retards don't do too well in this economy, especially drunk ones! What do you think about everything I just said? Also, to help me a bit further, tell me what a young woman's impression of me would likely be upon discovery of the fact that I don't want a driver's license. If I told that to a young woman who wants to date me, would that... Give her the impression that I'm weird that I don't like driving even though it's America's default mode of transportation? Make me look like someone who doesn't know basic life skills? Lead her to believe I can't afford to drive a car? Or would she just understand I by far prefer walking, cycling and taking public transit over driving for many reasons, including expenses, traffic, getting some exercise, and the fact that American drivers are worse than ever before, especially because of America's newest traffic safety issue, distracted driving? If this will help, here are the profiles of some of the suburbs I'm considering living car free in: Westfield, NJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240529702044090045771568709 45192772.html Garden City, NY: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240529702038331045770723414 09242110.html Ridgewood, NJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240527023035446045764337914 79599226.html Rye, NY: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/14/realestate/14livi.html?pagewant ed=all

Answer:
I fully understand why you do not want to drive but consider this ....... get a drivers license and choose not to use it. There are a number of benefits to having a drivers license even if you do not own or drive a vehicle. Once you get the license all it takes to maintain it is every couple of years you renew it. What women will think of you will be based on where you are currently living. If you currently living in the city then most woman would not really care at all. If you are living in a rural area then yes, woman will definitely look down upon the fact that you do not drive. There is nothing wrong with walking, biking etc..... but in some areas you need a form of transportation other than those you listed if you want to have a family and take care of them properly. Honestly as a woman I would be more concerned about your judgmental attitude than your lack of a drivers license.

time for me to end it!?
Question:
I'm 22 and have a useless BA and Masters Degree which doesn't seem to get me a job anywhere in London. Being forced to live at home with my mum who has been a council tenant since the beginning of time and doesn't understand where i'm coming from. She constantly puts me down and refers to my runaway father, while i'm forced to live with her legally despite her sticking me in a home when i was younger which resulted in me having strong resentment. I have to watch my new fake family mock me while the government hands them out freebies and i get absolutely nothing. I have to watch while my so called step dad gets with my mum everyday and spoils my little brother rotten because he is the " real " son. I have had my time on the streets and done alot of thinking when i was younger and went for education which was a big mistake. Even if i get a job it won't be enough to rent a 1 bedroom studio in the ghetto, and i just sit and wonder everyday what's the point of waking up. I done everything by the book, i refused to turn into a chav on my local council estate and went for education with a slim chance of something better. Instead i just find myself in more debt living out of my student overdraft, and thinking the man upstairs has got it in for me. With such a dismal life, i was lucky enough to find a job but for fired after two weeks because the women who i was assistant to was going through menopause and decided to use her birth right given authority to fire me because she was intimidated by how hard i worked and was left twiddling her thumbs everyday. I guess this is the problem when her brothers run the business, i was going to get the kick from day one and treated as a second class person once again. To top it all off i have no social life, and no future prospects and when i'm in public it sometimes feel's like everybody is playing a cruel trick on me as they go into their warm homes and drive their nice cars. I often feel like i missed out on a party invitation where they was giving out instant life's. I honestly don't no what to do, i have gone to a seek help and speak to somebody but they was on the same free ride my mum was on and found it hard to relate. I also apply for between 500 - 1000 jobs a day so that base is being checked. Anything ranging from cleaning to managing director's, i can't function if i have nothing to do. I live within a Asian community, which means locally i don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting a job because they only employee their own kind. I was even more disheartened the other day when i saw that Westfield's in Stratford only employed 2,000 out of 10,000 jobs went to local people. I believe that the value of being local is working against me and i can't fight that level of competition. The economy and this government has let me down, and i can totally relate to the people in the riots the other day but won't condone violence. The previous generation are laughing at people like me, and we are left screwed. People like me who come from poor backgrounds should be top priority, instead we don't see a penny of investment for chances to progress in society. We simply just end up getting depressed and frustrated because we all have unique skills and dreams which can't be realized. That's enough for now, i will no doubt have another random outburst at some point until some person takes pitty on me or i'm about to die. Any advice on what i can do would be welcome, and also anybody employing in London would be even better. But i'm sure after this rant you would think i'm crazy! sorry about the spelling and grammar i wrote this quickly.

Answer:
Don't wait for it, go get it. Start your own business. Find something you are good at or really like to do and go for it. Keep it small because of money, and grow as you go. I know you are drowning in school debt and it may seem impossible but if you are a hard worker like you say I bet you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Good Luck!!!

What should I get my older sister for Christmas?
Question:
She's 22 and has a car. She has been talking about getting a Navman gps lately since we got lost so often when we go driving, but she's also been saying how sad it is that she has no money to buy a new outfit for New Years Eve.. I'm think either the NAVMAN S100 GPS or a $300 WESTFIELD MALL GIFT CARD - but which do you think is better?? Haha naw.. I'm quite poor seriously - I'm using all the money I worked for this month to do this =/

Answer:
Which does she want most do you know? Which would be more useful to her - the Navman or the new outfit for New Years Eve? Would she wear the outfit more than once or twice? If you can answer these questions, it may help you to decide which to get for her. Of course, you could get the $300 Westfield Mall gift card and let her decide what she wants to then get. She could use it for the Navman or for the new outfit.

What do you think of the start of my story?
Question:
The story is about a girl, Lucy, who moves to a new town. she is troubled because she was mentally abused by her mother, who left their family a few weeks earlier. she meets a guy named Dean, who puts on a mask that has a carefree attitude, when she really sees that he is not okay. his father is in jail for assaulting his mother, and his mom is distraught by the event that she tries to commit suicide (but failed). in the end, the Dean commits suicide and the story is told from the Lucy's point of view as she relives the events leading up to Dean's death. Five stages of grief: Denial, Regret, Guilt, Depression, Acceptance. It has been exactly one year since my life changed forever. I stood near the grave with no hope. Eric Gaiter, my professor walked towards me. Taking small and slow steps, with each one getting farther away, I walked towards him. He said nothing as he saw the expression on my face. He then turned his body to face the one grave my eyes looked upon. DEAN WESTFIELD. BELOVED SON “It was like a dream. All of it.” I finally spoke. Eric’s eyes never turned towards me. He just stared at that bland spot with despair. “Do you realize what happened?” he said. “Dean died for a cause. You were there, only you can figure it out.” He finished. Somehow his words tortured me. “Yes. I was there and I did nothing to stop him. I could’ve helped him, or-“At that moment, I hadn’t managed to get the words out. It was very painful. Eric just stared. I wished he’d stopped, as he tormented me enough with his lack of proper communication towards my situation. There was nothing he could say. It was rather simple: once I entered Dean’s life, he couldn’t take it. I could’ve left when I had the chance, but something pulled me forward. His expressions every time he looked at me were demanding. When I saw him I just saw a person, crying for help. It felt like he needed me. My gaze was pulled out of focus when Eric’s harsh voice responded. “You could have what? Saved him? Walked away? It was all going to be the same. You know why, because you were the only person he trusted. Whether he’s here or not, you’re just going to have to live with it. Why does it hurt so much?” he asked. I just looked at him with disgust. “Because it was my fault. If Dean would have never met me, he’d still be alive. He would have gone to college. He could have followed his dream. If I never moved here, he could have fallen in love for real. He had all those chances and I ruined them. I killed Dean.” Those words have never exited my mind before. It was the truth. It wasn’t a lie. What I had with Dean was real, but if it ended with that, then it was nothing. “You’ve just come face to face with the fact that Dean is dead. But, there’s more to that.” Eric spoke. At that moment, the glistening wind cradled me body. I felt him. He was around me and my mind went back to the day it all started. One year ago, 365 days, 52 weeks. So much can happen. DENIAL The city of Kure Beach, North Carolina was a majestic to the eyes. With its roaring waters in lakes and streams, and the sun reflecting on them, it was relaxation. 1,507 people are enjoying it. The silence in the car between me and my dad was covered by the gaze in both of our faces. There was barely a word spoken the whole 17 hours. We pulled up into our quaint new house that my dad described as the prefect way to start over. After a tremulous year, my dad would want a second chance. For me, it’s been 18 years, where all I would wish is to just go away someplace. Just to think. I would feel the wind on my face and brushing through my hair. I would have no worries. They would just melt away. When I felt the time was right, I would close me eyes, open my mouth, and slowly take a deep breath. I would just let it all in. That wish was interrupted three weeks ago. The day I knew life was getting me back. I didn’t know what for. All I wanted was to get away from all the crap that surrounded me. Fate. That’s what my dad would call it. It was fate that I came into this world. It was fate that brought us into this new town. Apparently, it was fate that inspired the situation with my mother. But, that was a completely different story. I walked up the small stairs with my dad behind me carrying my bags. We went into the tiny room and settled down. It was small, but enough space for me. “This is gonna be your room. Your bathroom next door and if you need Anything, I’ll be right down the hall.” he told me. “Okay.” I responded quietly. I was used to not having full conversations with my dad. I was a suffrage in lonely type of person. That’s never been a problem for me. People come and go. It’s best not to have them come at all. I set everything down in my new, comforted room. I took a big sigh, hoping this wouldn’t be as bad as it seemed. It was early April. Spring. If you were a senior, like me you would be already planning you college adventure. I would like to go to co
