If you're serious about this as well, please at least get some tips... http://www.autogeek.net/detailingtips.html There's a forum in there you can look at as well. Leave your phone number off of it this time.

How much does it cost to paint a Hyundai Elantra?
Question:
I live in Toms River, New Jersey and I recently bought a gold 2002 Hyundai Elantra. It has black tinted windows in the back and i would like to get the car painted black. Its my first car and i got it really cheap from a family friend for $2700 so I'm not looking to spend a lot on painting it,but I don't want it to be some really crappy job either. How much would it be to get a cheap decent paint job and if anyone knows where I could get one done would be a great help too ! Thanks :)

Answer:
Depends on where you have it done and how much rust/dents need to be repaired. Cost for a cheap job, about $300/$400.. for a good job about $4000/ $6000. A good job done right could would be higher.

Can I remove the contents from my car if I am having a billing dispute with a mechanic and he won't return it?
Question:
I took my car to a Cottman Transmission center in Toms River. I was told that they would find the problem, and give me an estimate before any work is performed. Well the estimate was a ridiculous $3985.00, and the car is a 97 Saturn, not nearly worth it. He then says that I cannot "tow it out" of there unless I pay him $695!!!! This is crazy and I just want my stuff and then he can take me to court because this was a total scam!

Answer:
First...a lot Trans Guys are rip off guys. Take a cop,...he's not a judge in a dispute but the law states in a Mechanical Lien dispute, the Garage can hold the Car in question and you do have the rights to your other property. The Mechanic knows this. The Cop will allow you to collect your other possessions while the car remain under custody during the dispute. The Mechanic cannot lien all your possession because of this car dispute. Please file a civil suite against this Garage...this prevents him from obtaining a default judgment in order this guy to sell your car and profit which is his plan to begin with. Present your case to the Civil Court Judge and let the judge decide. You must toughen up while going into court...its fustrating and not fair, but you must fight for yourself. Otherwise, you are going to let this guy steal something from you. Also where the HELL is TOMS RIVER!!!!

Diane Reeves of Lakewood, who planned the protest for Aug. 25 at the town square on Clifton Avenue, pointed to rumors that such gangs as MS 13 and the Latin Kings, as well as some out-of-town militant groups, would disrupt the rally. That, coupled with the conflict that occurred at a similar protest last month in Morristown, convinced Reeves that the handful of officers Police Chief Robert Lawson promised to provide would not be enough protection. "I was nervous that if something happened, what were we supposed to do?" Reeves said. She and other rally supporters voiced resentment that the township had not agreed to assign more members of its 125-strong police force. They pointed to Morristown, which supplied a strong police presence at the protest over the same issue in late July. Five people were ar-rested and two were slightly injured at that event. "I was very upset when I heard," said Carmen Morales, vice chairwoman of the advocacy group You Don't Speak For Me, who was supposed to speak at the rally. "I feel Lakewood is like a sanctuary for illegal immigrants . . . and (the police) seem to protect them." Officials relieved Mayor Raymond Coles stressed that the Morristown rally was municipally sponsored, as opposed to the privately organized one in Lakewood. Lawson said he could not justify taking more officers off patrol duty, and the township could not afford the overtime. Beyond that, Coles and Lawson agreed with Reeves' decision to cancel. "I'm relieved," Lawson said. "Lakewood has a large number of undocumented residents . . . and now you're going to have a group in the center of town speaking out against illegal aliens. So it's possible there'd be friction between the two factions that could lead to confrontation." Coles said, "This is a very emotional, heated issue and bringing two very emotional groups together might cause problems." Estimates of the number of illegal immigrants in Lakewood range from 5,000 to 20,000. A 2006 estimate by the U.S. Census bureau put the township's population at almost 70,000. Lawson added that it was common for organizers to pay for off-duty police officers as protection at rallies. The Lakewood rally was expected to draw up to 500 people and was to have five speakers, including two family members of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Reeves, who has never organized a rally before, now plans to find an indoor venue in another town to hold the protest, saying that since the cancellation she has heard from angry supporters offering contributions toward the cost of a demonstration. "Look at the 100,000 illegals getting protection to march down the street everywhere else," she said. "But me, a citizen, has no right because of safety issues." Answer:
Just another example of the liberals protecting the illegal scumbags. If that town had any real intestinal fortitude, it would round up all the illegal scumbags, and ship them back to the garbage-dump of a country they came from. Then there wouldn't be any need of a rally. Problem solved.

Hurricane Irene new jersey?
Question:
Hi i live in New Jersey Toms River and i just found out yesterday there was going to be a hurricane coming our way just a few days ago i went through my first earthquake and now there is a hurricane when i first heard it i was just saying o i dont care its probably just gonna rain and be windy but its all over the news and my mother was making me throw out the garbage and take the plants inside and it looks really scary outside. Also i checked facebook and most of my friends that live near me arent worried at all only like two of them mentioned it and they are still going to sleepovers and to the mall. and now im getting even more scared because my tv paused and started repating the same word ofveer again then something popped up saying comcast has recieved an interfearence and my mom is watching the news which makes me more depressed because the news just gives me that feeling. and the worst thing is that my dad has to work on saterday and sunday all day which makes me scared for his safety and if we have to evacuate ill be seperated from him :( So just tell me how bad it could be to south jersey in the toms river area and i live about an hour away from the shore by car.

Answer:
People need to understand that an hour away from the coast is nothing when you're dealing with a hurricane - most especially one this huge. Hurricane force winds may extend outwards from the center up to 50+ miles - and this may be more for a hurricane of this magnitude. Tropical storm winds (39-73 mph) associated with this hurricane extend to 300 miles! This is very serious, and having been through five hurricanes and several tropical storms when I lived on the coast of NC, I can tell you that you are right in the projected path of this storm. You (your family) and your friends need to take this very seriously. Being prepared for the worst is always the best course of action. If the worst doesn't hit, great. If you aren't prepared and it does hit, you are SOL. Please, please, get prepared. They're forecasting landfall at Cape May, NJ. Here is the latest news for each state: http://news.yahoo.com/state-state-look-dangers-prep-ire ne-012629732.html Get informed. Get prepared. Also, regarding plants - yes, bring those that are in pots inside. Be sure to let your mom know that hurricanes dump massive amounts of salt water on the land. If she has anything growing outside, it WILL be affected. I know this from personal experience. The salt water will kill trees, plants, grass - whatever. It will all turn brown. Covering things like bushes (roses, etc) will probably not help, as whatever you cover it will probably blow away. My advice: wash everything with fresh water ASAP after the storm. Please do not listen to inexperienced people!!! If you need more help my email is open.
