How much time does it takes to travel from New Jersey, paterson to New York city by car?

Answer:
About 30 minutes. But could take up till 80 minutes during traffic.

Where are they getting the money to buy their cars?
Question:
So I was driving through Paterson, Nj and it really seems like a poor city but at every corner I seen a new bmw or mercedes benz. I seen an original hummer and I even seen a mercedes amg. I also noticed alot of cars with 30 day temporary plates. I honestly don't see that many luxury cars in mahwah or paramus compared to paterson. How do they do it?

Answer:
Drugs and hustling. They sometimes rent 'em Benz's too.

Which state is better New Jersey or New York?
Question:
Be honest. Listen I live in brooklyn and I'm italian. I am not a liberal or a socialist. I like NY better we have lights on every road in the 5 boroughs and nj does not. In newyork there is like so many places to go meanwhile in jersey theres not much. I know newyorks mayor is a trader and spitzer, paterson, clinton, mcmahon, etc are all liberals and socialists. I live in NY because no one in my family lives in jersey. I always make fun of jersey because of there old gay governer and the people drive like so slow and dont care. Literally when your on a highway a New jersey car is always going slower then the speed limit and when theres a red light there like 20 feet away from the car in front of them. Also my parents get lost in jersey sometimes when we go cause once your on one side of the highway and there are shops there isnt a lane you can turn and if you miss an exit its horrible and there isnt any other way to go except backaround. Plus jersey people are sometimes weird they dont pay attention to the new music that comes out and they dont even know how to eat. Jersey italian bread is horrible and there pasta is never aldente. The only good jersey food is seafood at the jersey shore in Point pleasant beach near jenkinsons or close by. Do you go to ny or nj which is your favorite and why? Tell me what you think of them

Answer:
NY- its cleaner, doesn't smell like a garbage can and people actually know how to drive =)

Are New Yorkers not so bright?
Question:
First yall let the government take away your guns and then they start taxing the living crap out of you. Many live in tiny substandard apartments and can't even own a car. Gov. Paterson is proposing taxes on everything imaginable from soda pop to Movie tickets to gym memberships. He will probably put her highness, Caroline Kennedy in the Senate without any experience. Then most of you tease us southerners for being slow. Don't get angry over my opinions. I wish you all would put a stop to this nonsense and be free. I sure don't want this kind of legislation where I am at.

Answer:
i guess yur right that's why i moved

Purchased a Car that came out to be stolen can i sue ?
Question:
On thursday morning i saw a ad on craigslist for a 1999 honda civic ex 5speed for $2000 firm ... i call the guy and told him if you can bring it down to me and if it was in the conditions he stated it was i would pay him the $2000 .. he brang the car i test drove it .. i check the vin compared it to the vin on the panels and inspection stickers on the car .. everything matched up perfectly .. i had the title to the car i park the car in my driveway .. i go to geico .com to add the car to my policy to insure. the next morning i go to DMV in elizabeth nj to register and transfer the title to the car under my name . They tell me that the car has been reported stolen out of paterson nj ..I went crazy .. i tried calling the guy back he didnt answer my calls.. i went online and saw he had more add's with the same phone number for motors transmissions doors parts to many cars for sale..so i went to the house of the person that was on the title he didnt live there anymore . a lady there gave me the phone number to the land lord of the property which knew the original and real owner of the honda civic..i talked to her and she said the car was stolen from paterson nj .. i told her i paid $1850 for it last night and that i had the title and everything .. So by this point i already knew that the guy that sold me the car was definitly not the owner.. So i called the guy that sold me the car under a different phone number posing as a new customer to purchase one of his motors and transmission he picked up quickly when he saw a new number! so i told him i would meet him with a flat bed or a mini van to pick up this motor... i went to paterson police spoke with the sergants and detectives and i explained to them that i had an arrangement to meet the seller of the car to get more parts .. i also expalined to them that i am in the sellers eyes a new buyer .. so we parked at the location that the guy wanted to meet .. the same 3 people that came to deliver the car when he originally sold it to me all showed up with him .. and the cops did a big surrounding around the car they were in a old 1993 beat up nissan pathfinder which turned out to be stolen aswell.. then the motor and transmission they intended to sell me was in the trunk of the car... they were all taken to paterson police.. the car i purchased got taken buy paterson police.. They are investigating why the original owner of the car would even leave his title in the car no one does.that .. i wanted to know if under the curcumstances.. can i sue the guys that sold me the car for fraud or what can i sue them for including the acomplices they had .. and what about the original titled owner of the car/? i am out of $1850 ..

Answer:
yes, you can sue the guy who sold you the car. and don't be surprised if the "real owner" is a party to a fraudulent insurance claim on the vehicle. Work with the cops on this one. It's your best shot at getting your money back.

Do i have a chance at fighting this ticket in court?
Question:
I got a ticket yesterday for "failure to observe sign". I was driving from little falls new jersey to clifton but i couldnt get over on 46 so i ended up getting lost. I ended up in Paterson where I go to school and I stopped at a stop sign. I went foward a little before I realized there was a do not enter sign. a cop was right there and he yelled at me and made me pull over. I did not pass the sign. I stopped as soon as a realized an there was no other cars around. the cop took my liscene reg, ect and he told me he was gunna give me a "break" since i wasnt from paterson and i was lost. he also said i wouldnt get points on my lisence. well he completely lied because when i got home i looked at the ticket and he checked failure to observe sign which is a ticket for $85 and i have to go to court so i have to pay an additional $50. i didnt pass the sign and i've never been pulled over before or have gotten in accident. i don't think it's fair considering i didnt even pass the sign . i booked a hotel in seaside for memorial day weekend with my friends and now i can't go because of this ticket. so since i already paid half the money which is $74 i'm really losing $209 :( I don't mean to complain but I feel like I should of gotten a break. The cop was laughing at me too. I had a panic attack after I got home because I've been under so much stress lately. This really sucks.

Answer:
This may be his best spot to make his quota. You could go to court but your word against a cop...you loose.

Republicans warned you about Change. Is this the change you wanted?
Question:
Will this help the economy? In NY Movie tickets, taxi rides, soda, beer, wine, cigars and massages, Hair and nail salons would be taxed under Paterson's proposal. It also extends sales taxes to cable and satellite TV services and removes the tax exemption for clothes costing less than $110. * Reductions in payments to hospitals and nursing homes. * Video slot machines at Belmont Park, more multi state lottery games and expanded hours for the state's Quick Draw lottery game. * Layoffs for 521 state workers and the elimination of seven state agencies. * An "iPod tax" that charges state and local sales tax for "digitally delivered entertainment services" - in other words, that new Beyonce song you download. * State sales tax at movie theaters, all sporting events, taxis, buses, limousines and cable and satellite TV and radio. * Costlier driving with the repeal of the 8-cents-per-gallon sales tax cap on motor and diesel motor fuel, plus and increase in the auto rental tax. * Tuition increases at SUNY and CUNY, $620 and $600 a year respectively. * A 50 cent tax on cigars. The current tax is equal to 37% of the wholesale price, or 34 cents a cigar. * No more sales tax break on clothes and shoes worth $110 or less, except during two weeks a year. * Higher taxes on wine, beer and flavored malt beverages. He would also impose an 18% tax on non-nutritional drinks like soda 7up Coca Cola etc.. * The rich would pay more for luxury items through an additional 5% tax imposed on cars costing more than $60,000, aircraft costing more than $500,000, yachts costing at least $200,000 and jewelry and furs costing in excess of $20,000. * In addition, a host of a fees, including those related to motor vehicle licensing and registration, parks and auto insurance, would go up, as would various state-imposed fines. Everyone of these proposals means people lose jobs as less and less people spend money on the products and services being taxed. Bezo I am glad this is what you want for your fellow Americans. I can handle it just fine probably better than you but unlike you, I worry about the Americans that can't ..

Answer:
Work that produces something you can get money for ir. Government workers produce NOTHING! not even a pencil! 25 thousand new job in government was created, bureaucrats are voting their pay and the rest must pay for their 4 day work week. Just ask, in DMV 80 % minorities can work ONLY 4 days a week.

Is this what Nancy Pelosi meant when she said:?
Question:
"The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C. and the democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history"?? Nancy Killefer, will withdraw her nomination following the revelation that she had a $946.69 lien on her property in 2005 for failure to pay taxes. Killefer joins the ranks of Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who failed to pay more than $40,000 in payrolltaxes when he worked for the International Monetary Fund, and Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee Tom Daschle, who -- as ABC News was first to report last Friday -- on Jan. 2 filed more than $140,000 in back taxes and interest, having failed to disclose more than $300,000 in past income, including the use of a car and driver for three years. Rep. Charles Rangel, Chairman of the Powerful House Ways & Means Committee, is in a bit of hot water for not declaring more than $75,000 in income between 1988 and 2007 on a rental property/second home in the Dominican Republic. Previously unreported problems involving taxes and a household employee came to light during the vetting of Caroline Kennedy and torpedoed her candidacy for Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat, said a source close to New York Gov. David Paterson. Mr. Daschle also didn't report $83,333 in consulting income in 2007. Sandy Berger - Democrat - National Security Advisor during the Clinton Administration. Berger became the focus of a criminal investigation after removing highly classified terrorism documents and handwritten notes from the National Archives during preparations for the Sept. 11 commission hearings. John Murtha, Jr. - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania. Implicated in the Abscam sting, in which FBI agents impersonating Arab businessmen offered bribes to political figures; Murtha was cited as an unindicted co-conspirator. This is just a parcial list...I could go on and on...is this what you dems thought she meant when she made that quote??

Here comes the story of the hurricane. What do you think?
Question:
Pistol shots ring out in the barroom night Enter Patty Valentine from the upper hall. She sees the bartender in a pool of blood, Cries out, "My God, they killed them all!" Here comes the story of the Hurricane, The man the authorities came to blame For somethin' that he never done. Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been The champion of the world. Three bodies lyin' there does Patty see And another man named Bello, movin' around mysteriously. "I didn't do it," he says, and he throws up his hands "I was only robbin' the register, I hope you understand. I saw them leavin'," he says, and he stops "One of us had better call up the cops." And so Patty calls the cops And they arrive on the scene with their red lights flashin' In the hot New Jersey night. Meanwhile, far away in another part of town Rubin Carter and a couple of friends are drivin' around. Number one contender for the middleweight crown Had no idea what kinda shit was about to go down When a cop pulled him over to the side of the road Just like the time before and the time before that. In Paterson that's just the way things go. If you're black you might as well not show up on the street 'Less you wanna draw the heat. Alfred Bello had a partner and he had a rap for the cops. Him and Arthur Dexter Bradley were just out prowlin' around He said, "I saw two men runnin' out, they looked like middleweights They jumped into a white car with out-of-state plates." And Miss Patty Valentine just nodded her head. Cop said, "Wait a minute, boys, this one's not dead" So they took him to the infirmary And though this man could hardly see They told him that he could identify the guilty men. Four in the mornin' and they haul Rubin in, Take him to the hospital and they bring him upstairs. The wounded man looks up through his one dyin' eye Says, "Wha'd you bring him in here for? He ain't the guy!" Yes, here's the story of the Hurricane, The man the authorities came to blame For somethin' that he never done. Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been The champion of the world. Four months later, the ghettos are in flame, Rubin's in South America, fightin' for his name While Arthur Dexter Bradley's still in the robbery game And the cops are puttin' the screws to him, lookin' for somebody to blame. "Remember that murder that happened in a bar?" "Remember you said you saw the getaway car?" "You think you'd like to play ball with the law?" "Think it might-a been that fighter that you saw runnin' that night?" "Don't forget that you are white." Arthur Dexter Bradley said, "I'm really not sure." Cops said, "A poor boy like you could use a break We got you for the motel job and we're talkin' to your friend Bello Now you don't wanta have to go back to jail, be a nice fellow. You'll be doin' society a favor. That sonofabitch is brave and gettin' braver. We want to put his ass in stir We want to pin this triple murder on him He ain't no Gentleman Jim." Rubin could take a man out with just one punch But he never did like to talk about it all that much. It's my work, he'd say, and I do it for pay And when it's over I'd just as soon go on my way Up to some paradise Where the trout streams flow and the air is nice And ride a horse along a trail. But then they took him to the jailhouse Where they try to turn a man into a mouse. All of Rubin's cards were marked in advance The trial was a pig-circus, he never had a chance. The judge made Rubin's witnesses drunkards from the slums To the white folks who watched he was a revolutionary bum And to the black folks he was just a crazy nigger. No one doubted that he pulled the trigger. And though they could not produce the gun, The D.A. said he was the one who did the deed And the all-white jury agreed. Rubin Carter was falsely tried. The crime was murder "one," guess who testified? Bello and Bradley and they both baldly lied And the newspapers, they all went along for the ride. How can the life of such a man Be in the palm of some fool's hand? To see him obviously framed Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land Where justice is a game. Now all the criminals in their coats and their ties Are free to drink martinis and watch the sun rise While Rubin sits like Buddha in a ten-foot cell An innocent man in a living hell. That's the story of the Hurricane, But it won't be over till they clear his name And give him back the time he's done. Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been The champion of the world.

Answer:
Awesome song but sad about what really happened to him and that he had to stay in prison for so long.
