The 7 Mile bridge in the Fla Keyz . The new one was built in from the late 70's - early 80's . I wasn't even alive until 1985 . What was wron with the old bridge ? Was it even wide enough for to road lanes ? Why was it closed to cars ? Why were parts of it torn down ? it should be fixed up and open in case of hurricane evacuation .

that was a fun ride across that bridge. we were on that bridge when a semi was coming the other way when we met our mirrors were knocked off. the side rails of that bridge were made from the rail road tracks from the flaggler rail road.. overall, it was costing to much to maintain, and off course there were safety problems too. the new bridge is 4 times the width of the old one. the old one had a draw bridge (like snake creek or jewfish creek) that keep breaking down. and if you broke down on that old one there was no place to go, no emergence line, you were in the line of traffic and there was always someone willing to give you the bird & tell ya what was on there mind.

I just passed through the other day, and I didn't see that. They are widening the road on that part of 18 so it's possible. Are you talking about the back parking lot that faces 18 and Spring Valley Rd? Not sure what they're doing, but I know of the owner and he owns Oasis Chevrolet down 9, you might want to call them and ask.

There is a huge concrete bridge trestle outside of Heinz Field, and I cannot figure out the significance of this trestle, and why it was not torn down. Does anybody know if this was a car or railroad bridge? How old is it? When was the bridge torn down? It was atleast pre 1970. Thanks

It is there because it was one of the few ways to get to Three River Stadium. It has served as a milestone to the city for years. It was thought to have been the reason that the Steeler Teams of the '70's were able to win Super Bowls (that by tearing it down, they would have jinxed the teams). The city left it as a historical marker to remember things by (the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers).

Dreamed about strong waves with an old bridge and building, a sick pet with my 2 brothers, his daughter n mom.?

Ok i had this dream. My mom, my eldest brother, the brother i followed (in terms of birth) with his daughter and me went to a beach. Now the moment we got there, i saw this very strong current. Then next thing i saw was my brother (i followed in terms of birth was on that water with a strong current swimming). After that, i saw her daughter excitedly joined him. But she almost go drowned because of the strong current. Her dad save her, and from the shore i reached for her. Then we all went for our cottage. From here i saw the big picture of the place. From were i sit i see this wall like windows with broken glasses, blocking some of the strong waves coming from the other side. [ side 1 (wall like windows) side 2 (where we seated)]. Then from the distance i could see lots of people enjoying the strong waves (on the other side of the wall like windows coz it stretch from the farthest right to the left). Then from that moment, started seeing a car falling from a particular part of the ocean floor eaten by the strong current. Then i realize the ocean floor i am seeing is a bridge. It closes when there's a pretty strong current for a min then re open when its ok to cross. After seeing that, we found our self inside a car, ready to cross that very old mechanical bridge. As soon as it gives the signal, and theres no more strong current, we drove really fast to cross on the other side. Then from there, we went to this very old building, particularly in a room, where there is a sick dog and a healthy one. Funny because i knew from the dream that this is the puppy our dog had, and its there because we give it to someone. (And we seems to know the place, and that someone we know is staying there but i didn't saw it) That ends my dream.
