Okay, I live in New Jersey, Bergen County, 07071 area (Lyndhurst, New Jersey). Anyway, I was wondering if I become a part- time cop at the police department in my town, how many tests would I have to take and would I have to go through the same training as in the movie "Police Academy"? Also, if I got hired, would I be able to have my own cop car, like buy it myself? My choice of car, to make it easier. And how much would I get paid? How much would I work? Lyndhurst, New Jersey is a pretty small town, I think it's about 1 square mile. I don't really want to become a cop, but I was just curious.

After midnight on July 30, 1916, a series of small fires were found on a pier in Jersey City, New Jersey. Sabotage was suspected and some guards fled, fearing an explosion; others attempted to fight the fires. Eventually they called the Jersey City Fire Department. An explosion occurred at 2:08 a.m., the first and biggest of the explosions took place. Shrapnel from the explosion traveled long distances, some lodging in the Statue of Liberty and other places. It was located on the site of Lyndhurst’s present industrial park. On January 11, 1917, a fire started in Building 30 of the Canadian Car and Foundry Company in Kingsland.
