Should he take this road trip?
Question:
A new driver just got his license in April. He’s had a learner permit for many years (2001) although he failed his driver’s test 4 times. After He finally passed it in April 2007. From April to now, he has driven over 300 miles in rental cars. He has driven cars, and a small minivan. He has driven only on streets of New York City, I-87 (mostly), the I-95, Linden BLVD, WestSide Highway, Grand Concourse, and other of big highways. Although he has experience maneuvering through tight streets, highways, and bridges, he got into his first auto accident. He was rearended by a jeep who was following to closely couldn’t slow down. The driver of the jeep ran because his licensed expired. No one was injured too badly. He wants to take a road trip to VA which is about 430 miles from NYC. Do you think it would be safe for him to attempt this long trip? If not, how much time and/or how much more experience would you say he needs before he attempts this kind of a venture?

Answer:
If you can navigate NYC the road trip will be a piece of cake. Just remember that most of the rest of the world respects the laws and you need to pay attention to them. I drive all 48 states and love driving.

Need help understanding how Autocheck report Leins?
Question:
I am interested in buying a car but Autocheck reported that it had a Lein on i t back when it was originally purchased as a new car in 1999. In 2008 it was purchased through an Auto Auction through a dealership in which Im looking to buy the same car from. If this car was purchased through and Auction by a delaership, that means the lien was taken care of by the dealership right? In the details column of the autocheck report it stated that the title was present at the auction. (example below) 08/31/2005 PISCATAWAY, NJ Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL 08/31/2006 PISCATAWAY, NJ Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL 08/31/2007 PISCATAWAY, NJ Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL 05/05/2008 126,537 Auto Auction REPORTED AT AUTO AUCTION 05/06/2008 LINDEN, NJ 126,520 Motor Vehicle Dept. TITLE 05/06/2008 EASTERN REGION 126,537 Auto Auction REPORTED AT AUTO AUCTION AS DEALER VEHICLE

Answer:
Short Answer: Yes the lien has been taken care of and is no longer listed on the title. Long Answer: You can see that on 5/6/08 the vehicle was issued a new title. A new title can not be issued until the lien holder and the title owner have signed off on the old title. Meaning the lien holder has released their lien. Beware: If that car is at an auto auction it was probably deemed a total loss by an insurance company and is going to be rebuilt. This also severly effects the resale value if you try to sell it.

Job help for a 16 year old living in New Jersey?
Question:
Okay, you know the drill. I'm working age and all, and I want to stop imposing on my family and be able to feel like a normal kid money wise. You know the problem. Our economy sucks. My second problem? I live practically in the middle of nowhere, I don't have regular access to a car, and I can't ride a bike. The bus is pretty out too. So my job has to be near bye, which practically reduces my ability to get a job to pretty much zero. So. Ideas? I live by Linden, Clark, and Roselle (just barely). Don't start me up with that Survey stuff. Because I'm under 18, and half of it sucks. I'm considering selling some stuff on Ebay. Maybe take up a craft or two as well. Any ideas at all would be absolutely lovely. Links would be even more lovely. I'll rewards points or whatever it is you people hunt after on this thing.

How many of you remember this Enid Blyton classic......?
Question:
Children's favourite Noddy has been given a digital makeover and a new range of vehicles as he celebrates his 60th birthday with a return to British TV screens. The little man with the red and yellow car will also be given the keys to a helicopter, monster truck and submarine. But fans of the original series should not fear as he makes his return on Five next week. Despite being computer-animated, Noddy and his pals will retain their original 'toy' look. The programme makers said they wanted the new series, Noddy in Toyland, to return to creator Enid Blyton's original vision of a place where toys had come to life. Joined by his usual chums Tessie Bear, Bumpy Dog and Car, Noddy will explore some of the lesser known areas of Toy Town. A few new faces will be introduced, including Whiz, a neat and methodical robot who runs the garage and his apprentice, Linden Berry, a fairy. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbiz-News/Noddy-Bac k-On-TV-In-Toyland-Toy-Town-Star-On-Five-For-60th-Birthday/Articl e/200904215260767?lpos=Showbiz_News_First_Home_Page_Feature_Tease r_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15260767_Noddy_Back_On_TV_In_Toyland%3A_To y_Town_Star_On_Five_For_60th_Birthday Ooohh get Noddy, now with his monster truck and submarine!!
